I am writing this review with deep disappointment and serious concerns about the level of care and unprofessionalism I experienced at Bloom Health TMS Center in Rockville, MD. My biggest concern, and the reason I cannot recommend this center, is the apparent lack of on-site medical doctors qualified to make medical decisions regarding potential adverse reactions to TMS. This is a significant red flag for patient safety.

The office is unfortunately very unprofessional. When requesting paperwork, the turnaround time is extremely slow. The front desk staff appears undertrained, as they often seem unsure how to answer basic questions. I also noticed that some therapists are distracted during sessions—taking calls or multitasking—which affects the quality of care. At times, there was noticeable background noise that sounded like they were not in a professional setting. Overall, I would rate this place a 5 out of 10.

I used JCS when I still had my old name between 2011 and 2012. It was a waste of time. They weren't very helpful. My old JCS counselor was Tovah Jaffee. She kept trying to offer me a server position at North Oaks most likely because of my disability. And the fact not too many places would hire me. This is despite the fact that this place is not on a bus line. It also got to the point where she began to make mostly negative remarks about my mannerisms in coaching class. Based on what different instructors said. I should've never stayed with them for nearly a year. Especially when her assistant Gerschon told me how hard it would be to get a job the first day I met with them. My old DORS counselor and my father were there too. If I could turn back time, I would've never stayed with them for almost a year. I was 18/19 at the time, but was treated like a 4 year old. 😒

I'd like to say that this program is nothing more then a way for them to make money,They make rules for clients and the staff break them as they feel fit..For example they say there's a 60 day blackout and no exceptions but then people come there off streets from using and can do avoid this 60 day's because they know how to do things Dr Kelly needs so they don't have a blackout or maybe 2 weeks and can do as they want as long as she and her program gets what benefits them.To me this is not a good example to set for people trying to recover..Also this program is not set up for you to work a full time job they expect you to take 2 day's out of Monday Thur Friday to do groups which makes it impossible to work a normal full time job and if you say anything about it there response is find a new job with a schedule that works for them and company's don't do that so they encourage and take you to social services to be on welfare and put in for SSI which is crazy!!!Some people don't want to work the system and be on welfare but this KMH gives a person no opinions,But when you call to ask for information they tell you different to get you in here so they can at least get what they can from your insurance which is totally WRONG!!So I would encourage anyone looking for a rehab to not come here because this is based on keeping people failing over and over and all you have to do is look at there clients 90% Have been Thur KMH and I mean MULTIPLE TIMES!!So I'd definitely stay away from this program because they will do everything in there power to keep you hear as long as they can and make sure you fail after you leave so they can count on repeat customers as you can see now!!! AVOID THIS SET UP IF YOU WANT TO TRY TO STAY CLEAN!!Also if you decide to try this place out know they will charge you a 150.00 a month for food they cook and buy weather you like it or not, everyone pays and they will encourage you and take you to welfare for food stamps so they can have them, and if not you still pay out of pocket then...To me this is just greedy for them to do just look up how much is charged for residential treatment it's crazy expensive for a example something like 1500.00 a day and yes a day and that's the low end this is what insurance pays and they just keep opening there arm's up for the same people over and over because that's how they have it set up!!!So I encourage you to check in to it before you make a move to send anybody and you'll see what I'm saying...

Horrible treatment of me specifically. Constantly the female staff would try to talk to me when I just wanted to be left alone, they’d walk up to me and remind me of rules I didn’t break. Watch how they respond to this as well. I’ll leave a second one star if they do

The most value is having a therapist (Paige Austin) that understands my child, always has the best intentions for her, and ensures the parents view is taken into account during family sessions. It is hard finding a good therapist. I would have to say that Paige has been the best therapist and one my child is willing to open up to and looks forward to seeing. I feel that out of all the therapist my child has seen at behavioral health, Paige Ausyin has by far been the best one and I can see a difference in my child.

I went for an intake appointment in February. This office is in network for me and they were supposed to file a claim for my appointment. It has been 7 months (and counting) and they still have not filed the claim. I honestly wonder if I have been scammed. Be aware that if you go to this office you will probably have a lot of headaches dealing with insurance. The quality of care is not worth it to deal with this hassle.

Should do a better job in customer service for being a mental health clinic it’s a joke. Get a new staff to handle calls. Shouldn’t have to call and follow up after my appointments to send my meds in. Shouldn’t have to deal with attitudes for doing their job either. Don’t get into the medical fields if you have a bad bedside manner. issue with the medical field now just hiring anyone

I have been doing zoom at owings mills location or pikesville. But it's been months. I originally was seeing a therapist I liked. A few months things were going pretty good. They have you put a card on file for billing. Which I hate because it benefits them but when they screw up it's hard to contact them I'll come back to that.they give you 24 hour cancelation policy. But my experience was my therapist would cancel on me frequently at the last minute. And I would get Billed! And I got locked out the account. And I didn't know why! It would be confusion with billing dept.. they would tell me I need to contact therapist because she didn't notify them and the therapist said billing didn't notify her. I had to reach out to them several times and explain to them like why am I getting a bill. If she cancels at the last minute. And I cancel. My time is just as important as hers. Are you going to send me $150 for my day.. and this was several times. So they corrected it finally and said they were updating billing system. It's still terrible because the therapist I was seeing said she was leaving. Because she was so tired of them messing it bills. And you can still cancel 24 hours in advance and your card will get a charge. I'm looking for another therapist. The therapist I was seeing I was trying to make a follow up appt with her. I thought she was out of the office. I was sending her messages for a few weeks. I called sondermind spoke to csr they said she was still there. I gave it another week and called them back someone else told Me they don't think she's there any longer. I said well I'm glad someone told me. Now I have to start all over getting to know someone else. You guys don't even let someone know when a therapist leaves. And I changed My appt within 24 hours and guess what another bill pops up! If you don't want to be billed incorrectly and need your money. Don't go here !!

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Maryland?
When comparing providers in Maryland, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Maryland?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Maryland?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Maryland providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Maryland providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
