Nexus-Woodbourne Family Healing

Nexus–Woodbourne Family Healing, located on a historic estate in Baltimore, Maryland, is a residential treatment and diagnostic center focused on healing children and adolescents and supporting their families through trauma-informed, evidence-based care. The program keeps families actively engaged in the treatment process while delivering individualized clinical plans for youth who present with complex emotional, behavioral, developmental, or trauma-related needs. On-site education, vocational skill development, and daily therapeutic activities are integrated into each child’s program to promote stability, skill-building, and successful transition back to home and community settings.

The center offers gender-specific residential tracks and a diagnostic center that serves male, female, transgender, and gender non-conforming youth, with specialized services for those at risk of or impacted by commercial sexual exploitation. Clinical care combines psychiatric oversight and medication management with a broad range of therapies — including individual, family, and group therapy, EMDR, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and experiential modalities like animal-assisted and sensory therapies.
