Very poor communication regarding setting up an appointment. I called on 8/28/24 to schedule an appointment. I was asked my name, insurance information, date of birth, and contact information. I was told the earliest appointment was 3 weeks with Gina Lindvay. I took that appointment. 2 weeks go by and I receive a call saying Gina does not see clients over a certain age. If they had my date of birth from day one, why did they schedule me in the first place, and why did it take them 2 weeks to realize Gina would not see me? As it turns out, no counselors at their facility will see me. The person who informed me of this said she made an appointment at their Milton location the following week (now we are 4 weeks out from my initial call). When I told her that I could not make that appointment date, as I wasn't available, she told me harshly, "well, then you'll have to call them yourself and schedule you appointment."

I’ve been in therapy on and off for 10 years and I’m not joking when I say my mental health has BLOSSOMED, since transferring to Seneca. I recommend Lynzee Bostic for therapy. My favorite thing about seeing her, is her ability to connect Values and Virtues to what I specifically need to heal.

Dr Bauer and his staff are amazing. Dr Bauer has been available to us and my step son 24 hours a day. In the first 3 months we have worked with Dr Bauer we have seen so much improvement in our family communication and meeting goals to improve on education and life skills. I would recommend Dr. Bauer 5 stars!!!!

I’ve been going here for a little over 2 years I’m pretty sure I’ve been seeing McDaniels for 4. In the beginning of us going here my husband struggled with sobriety. I always felt comfortable talking to Becky about any of my concerns when it came to him. She knew I just wanted him to be sober with me. They never gave up on him & now he’s going on 2 years sober. We both love our therapists and feel like they genuinely care about us. If you are looking for a place to help you get and stay sober please consider this one. I promise you won’t regret it and you will make some sober friends & feel like you have a community of people behind you.

If I could give no stars I would! My stepson went here to conquer his addiction, only to find himself in a prison like environment at the young age of 19. He let his father know he felt threatened and uncomfortable, and he called CJ who assured him that his son's safety was his top concern and not to worry. 1 week later my stepson is calling saying he got into an altercation where a guy threatened him 3 times before throwing a cup of powder (creamer I imagine) in his eyes. My son jumped up and defended himself and was placed in a headlock. The fight spilled out into the hallway and the "staff" finally noticed. They then separated the 2 and waited for the director to make a decision. When my son called home, he said that CJ very specifically said he did not want to talk to his father. I imagine because just one week before he was preaching the safety of this facility. They ended up kicking both men out.

Very friendly and listened to my situation. A guy named Scott asked me about my sisters situation. He asked questions to understand more about her. I was very appreciative of the help he was giving us and how he was going to try to get her the help she needed. Great place for me to talk to just to understand more about what I could do. Thank You!

Frequently Asked Questions
- How should I compare mental health providers in West Virginia?
- When comparing providers in West Virginia, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
- What should I ask before contacting a provider in West Virginia?
- Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
- Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
- No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
- Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in West Virginia?
- Yes. Mental Health US includes West Virginia providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
- What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
- If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all West Virginia providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
