Five Stars Aren’t Enough!
Always have had a positive experience- all but once many years ago

I came here in a crisis. I wanted to die. I felt so trapped. These people helped me so quickly and we're so nice and friendly. I've never been to a place that was so efficient and kind and accepting and helpful. You guys are amazing and really helped me so much. And I'm looking so forward to working with you.
The staff at Sunrise are very helpful, attentive, kind, and patient. The therapists/counselors I've met listen and actually care, or they are incredibly good at pretending to care. Whether I'm trying to become a better person or just looking for a place to vent, they are always there. I've never had any issues. I've been with them for over a year and highly recommend.
Awesome staff, couldn't ask for a more understanding group of people who actually care about my well being and long term success.

Been going here for the past year for my oldest boy. I love the team my son has and the communication between us all has been so nice. My son has struggled with things within himself and I can proudly say his team has been amazing with him! Thank you 😊

I signed myself into detox, was not court ordered. I tried to get a list of the medications they distributed to me during my stay and because I left against medical advice they would not provide me with a list. That is absurd! The supervisor was extremely rude! I am an ex drug addict, I must be up to no good! Would not recommend to anyone.

Horrible intake process, lousy director Greg Thomson. Didn't listen, hear correctly, sympathize and blocked my healing process. Used to think highly of that place in the 90's, not anymore, unfortunately. Never got a trauma counselor after putting in persistent effort. Bad experience and ended up being a complete waste of my time and distraction of my focus, as well as insulted my intelligence and downplayed the seriousness of my situation. Would never recommend again. Added frustration and resentment when I was hopeful and optimistic that I would be met with kindness there.Very much the opposite. I couldn't even get a return call back from a referred counselor. She just went back to G.Thomson instead of speaking directly to me in a brief call, at least. Not a good solution for anyone combating a crisis situation, in my opinion. It left me feeling drained, unappreciated and without any real communication from that place. The receptionist, Daniel, was pleasant. That was it. That was the only nice part.

I have participated in both their inpatient and intensive-outpatient programs, Pathways and Open-World, respectively. Looking back on it, although it wasn't perfect, what it had already exceeded my expectations of what I wanted from this place. This might very well be the best way for you to recover from your addictions to pornography, the internet, and ESPECIALLY gaming abuse. This program, before becoming a residential treatment facility, has a 15-year track record since 2009 of treating the disability of addiction for tech addicts. Although the program isn't perfect, I humbly ask that you take the time to fully read this review to determine whether this place is right for you. No names (besides one) are real. Those in 'brackets' are aliases Pros: reSTART Life's main allure when it comes to their program has to be their therapeutic practices, philosophies, and principles. All of the members of staff that I had my experiences with were more than qualified to mend the roots of clients' addictions. All people hired for therapy here know exactly how to make someone feel safe, heard, and loved. From 9 am-4 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, the therapists who do not have sessions host therapy groups going over the tactics that clients can use in the real world to combat stress. There are weekly board game days on Sundays, and Movie Nights on Fridays, so you won't be entirely bored. This place has absolutely NO tech outside a landline, and all other pieces of tech are confiscated. The staff on board at this place are all VERY qualified to take care of the client's every need, supporting them when times are rough, taking them to doctors' appointments, and just socializing in general. This is a very inclusive space, never discriminating against anyone for race, sexuality, disability, religion, or gender identity (Summer 2024-Summer 2025: 5 trans girls (+me) in the span of a year; you're safe, girl :3). You're able to learn life-building skills with the help of Direct Care Staff and your fellow clients. Cleaning and cooking are regular, and learning self-care is a major priority. The Open-World program expands on this by giving clients who have proven their worth their own place to stay outside of the actual location (therapy is still mandatory at DTC). Cons: The Outing System isn't as up to snuff as it usually was. Before a certain someone (*ahem, 'Wheely'*) broke their leg in Seattle on an outing to an Arts and Crafts fair, there had been a lot of changes to the outings that the clients could do. Now there's a 12-mile radius in the middle of nowhere, and you can't go past the point. The Duvall campus is a bit too small, and you rarely get outside time without the surveillance of a staff member. Kind of a shame you can't go walking outside like they used to in the old Pathways house. The cooking has been on a major decline since the clients themselves can no longer shop for groceries and make their own meals as head and assistant chef. Now the DCS are the head chefs, and the clients can only be assistant chefs (on a rotating basis). If you want people to learn to cook healthy, teach them what it means to cook healthy, and give them the autonomy to make it themselves on their own time. You can't make snacks yourself anymore, since the kitchen is restricted without permission! D: Hilarie Cash, a consistent 'volunteer' here. Although she isn't in charge anymore, she has still caused some clients considerable stress due to her bad bedside manner and her more "direct" methods, overreacting in some places, or not doing anything til it's too late in others (*ahem, 'Serenity' and 'Voldy' incidents*). Mental trauma has been caused to both 'Serenity' and me because of what happened to us, respectively. (allegedly) No anime; it's addictive apparently. :( Do with this info what you will, as mileage may vary. I still appreciate everything this program has done for me, and despite its flaws, what I got here was more than enough to save my life. I wish you all the best in life -Honorable (CT), 1-Year Sober from Gaming

Okay so the staff are amazing everyone was genuinely caring but if you are having a mental health crisis this is not the place. it's basically jail they will search you take your phone and it's very strict they need more funding I was there because I was suicidal and it made me feel more suicidal. The staff we to busy to offer mental health support but they tried and for that I thank you but sitting in voluntary jail is not conducive to a healthy mental state.
I haven’t left yet but I’ve been having a good time here. I’ve been put on meds to help with my anxiety and OCD, the food is good and the staff are understanding and patient. I am homesick but that’s normal, I hope to get better soon. Thank you for your guys understanding and care for not just me but the others under this building.
Im giving them one star cause the person that i was working with was always late and only had 2 days with me for only 2 hours which i dont like and then forget were to go to do my things and i feel like there services doesnt fit my style

- Had issues with the case manager calling me back and scheduling appointments. Had to tell the front desk multiple times that no one was answering or returning my calls. They had to get ahold of her directly to have her accept my calls, after trying to get a hold of her for a week.

This is the best place ever i'm an 18 year old moved to Washington from Missouri an placement didn't work out so I ended up on the streets they were really helpful ill continue to use the Recoureses Hopefully by the grace of God Ican become stable housing job and give back to the community the help is there you have to want the help and understand that its not going to be a bed of roses to everyone struggling just remember you are loved and not alone STAY STRONG

Ive been coming here for a few years. The front desk staff are all kind and extremely helpful. The providers are also kind and do what they can to care for and help people. Ive had all good experiences here.
My mom is currently in here. the staff and people are mean, and tease her for having accidents because she was going through withdrawals. They also don’t request a refill on her saboxon until she is out and causes her to be sick and have withdrawals because they make her go days without it, when she does get her meds they give her more then the dose she’s suppose to have which also causes her to be in constant pain and
Absolutely horrific! Got my mental health evaluation results back and wow!
