I am currently the women's case manager at the Klamath falls Gospel Mission, women's shelter. We had a meeting and tour with Wally yesterday, the name fits them, they have such Grace and care for the community. We have so many homeless that come in with mental issues and drug issues, It's our desire to show these people the love that God has for them. We are so limited to the team things we can offer, yes we provide temporary housing, we feed the 3 meals a day except on the weekend it's brunch and dinner, we have other ways such as getting them on Housing, food stamps.Grace Williams Health Systems can be` a positive resource that can extend it further for our guest while` they are being sheltered and fed and trying to be productive and healthy people. I encourage you all that God will see you through. Give them a call and see what they have to offer.

They don't have enough therapists are skills trainer. Did always want you to take your kid out of school. You have a set schedule and then they change it at the last minute. Schedules are always conflicting and they're always changing them. It's ridiculous that this is the only mental health place that we have to choose from. We need more options out there.

During my husband's stay for 8 days at this hospital the majority of encounters with staff in all departments were very good. But he did not get any hygiene care until his last day in the hospital when I asked for help and said he had had no bed bath for the 7 days. One wound had never been cleaned by the time the wound care nurse got to it several days into his hospitalization, not in ICU, and not in Medical Surgical unit. I was given a bottle of soap to bathe him myself and I had no basin, no towels or washcloths during the entire 8 days. The expectation was that I was to do this hands on care. Also the surgeon's P.A. came to the hospital on 5/31/26 and made a decision that upended the entire discharge plan made with the Discharge Planner. The Wound Vac was removed and I was told later that the wound care was up to me until I could arrange care from Home Health Care and the McKenzie Wound Center in Eugene, Oregon. I had made it clear that I cannot do the wound care safely and indeed the instructions in writing were vague and inadequate observing the technique did not prepare me for this responsibility which was arbitrarily made for someone else's convenience.. I am using a walker at all times and still recovering from foot surgery as well and on the way to a spinal specialist on 6/19/26 with a very abnormal MRI and unremitting pain. Lastly the hospital kept routing things to the VA in White City, Oregon (a 3 hour drive from our home) when we live 22 miles from the Eugene VA where he receives care and this was common knowledge to DC planner and the staff. It was never corrected and now I am unable to get a response from the Eugene VA. It seems that the Eugene VA and PCP were not notified of the need for an appointment with PCP within 2 weeks which is his legal right. This deadline for PCP was told to me by his Home Health Nurse from Eugene. These practices need to be examined and corrected so that this does not keep happening to other patients and families. The staffing on the weekend was horrible and after one hour's wait my husband got out of bed for the bathroom unattended when he was considered a fall risk. So your quality care does have some major faults. I know you got some high ratings but I cannot endorse this type of care. Thank you for your attention. All these types of places are a hit or miss. Half of the staff here didn’t really care for you but then there’s an equal amount to make up for that, I would say most treatment centers systems and treatment process are generally not good. But what can you do they’re doing their job with limited resources. Albertina Kerr was unique to other places I’ve been. I went to Kerr twice years apart from each other. It’s an uncomfortable place, the main room feels like a hospital room equal to jail. Each child is going to interpret their stay here differently, for some they’ll feel indifferent or it might be the worst thing that ever happened to them. It mainly depends on what type of staff they have, the other children in your unit, and what’s going on in your own life. This place could help you or leave you in a worse spot in your life, and if your child is here cut them some slack, be kind. It’s a rough situation for everyone, but I guarantee that kid is going through the most of it. A lot of the staff are not equipped for big emotions and complex situations. A lot of them just expect depression and anxiety, but that’s not just what these places are about. Your kid could be put in harsh situations with other clients as well, and see some pretty rough things. I can’t even cover all the things I saw and was involved in. Being here will most likely leave you with an empty lost feeling, it’s hard to describe. But overall I don’t know where I would be without this stay, and it still holds a special place in my heart. It helped and didn’t help that’s all I can say.

These people aren't actually here to help people. It's just money laundering for OHP. They won't see you if you have real insurance. They tell you to look elsewhere that they are only interested in OHP. When you inform them that your insurance does cover it they start a chain of transfers from phone to phone, department to department until you finally hang up. It's places like these that produce the amount of mental illness on the streets in the PNW

I've been to this facility many times. It is a true haven for the children in their care. Realizing that many of the children in residence exhibit fairly serious emotional and behavioral issues, I have to commend the staff for their ability to handle some very difficult situations, with restraint, respect and affection for the kids.

I used to go to Holly at the counseling center in Rockaway and she was great but she had to go on maternity leave and is now leaving. I tried a new lady and she was horrible. Not enough counselors so you don’t get many choices and they don’t have time for you. I was treated like my problems were an annoyance and when I did get to talk the therapist talked about herself. I did not appreciate her telling me that her time was a privilege to me. I had lots of family and work issues that caused scheduling conflicts and was constantly chastised in regards to it. I finally got fed up and went to/started using Shorline Counceling, LLC. In Astoria. They do telehealth which is awesome!

My experience with this state and federal funded program has not been helpful. I am currently being prevented from accessing safe, secure affordable housing due to their polices that directly impact people of color. I had to hire a lawyer to advocate on my behalf while I'm appealing my housing denial. I am a single parent and a full time college student who has experienced barriers that are currently being used against me by this company; without any valid reason that justifies the legal requirements stated in their own rental criteria or mandated by the Federal Fair Housing Act. Its unfortunate that I have to fight for my civil liberties with this " non profit company" who claims that their goal is to help people not hinder them; which is a major disservice. Considering the fact that the organizations mission statement asserts that helping families who come from a low income or adverse background is their goal. It seems that equal opportunity is something that is not being regarded for my family, and I when it comes down to it. I'm hoping my lawyer can talk some sense into these people and they end up doing the right thing. 5/18/2017 So, I am updating my recent review with this organization. I am happy to announce that the denial decision was overturned. At last me and my family will have access to a clean, safe affordable unit really soon. I am so grateful that this opportunity was given to my family, and I am also thankful for CCSF willingness to give me a chance and help me and my family gain self sufficiency. 8/28/18 I’m finally done with them. I left the unit in immaculate condition and had zero balances upon moving. My experiences bittersweet.

I have a dear friend that was treated at South Lane Mental Health and I am absolutely Appalled at the way she was treated, she went off from her medications and from doing so, she started to seizure, her entire body was convulsing and her counselor’s told her she had nice muscles while she was in the middle of a seizure! “How compassionate was that”????? I won’t go in to everything that they said to her but to do this to a mentally handicapped individual is completely wrong and despicable!!!! This counselor should be fired immediately and NEVER work In the mental health industry ever again!! A complaint WILL be filed against South Lane Mental Health! They need to be held accountable for their actions, just because someone has a mental illness or need, does not mean they are not A HUMAN BEING!!!!!!

I went in hoping for the best experience possible. I went in with a family member who was in need of support for SI ideation. The consultation lasted 15 minutes and if most. The psychiatrist spent most of the time talking about HIMSELF and my family member spent 5 mins talking. Like I thought we were here to see you?? He dismissed the conversation and honestly was not helpful. Very unprofessional and unethical. I would give this place a 0/10 stars if I could. I’m going to school to be a therapist myself and was asking him questions regarding diagnosis and he couldn’t answer any of my questions. He kept making the conversation about him which was so rude.

My daughter has been on their waitlist since 5/2024. I responded to multiple emails advising yes we were still interested over the past 5 months. She finally got an appointment scheduled for this week. I called 48 hours in advance to reschedule this appointment due to a family emergency and was advised she has been removed from the waiting list and they will not reschedule. The intake coordinator was unprofessional and offered no solutions or empathy. I’ve left a message for the office manager but have yet to hear back. I’m flabbergasted a mental health clinic would treat a new pediatric patient with such little regard.

Lena today especially was awesome. She's a personable professional that truly wants to listen and relate to us, the public; then direct us to our best options and providers. Kudos&ManyThanks to everyone at the Pendleton Office. Your efforts to create a space and avenue for public health will not be forgotten by me. Thank you for being in my corner when I needed it most. 🕊️

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Oregon?
When comparing providers in Oregon, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Oregon?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Oregon?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Oregon providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Oregon providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
