Albertina Kerr’s Crisis Psychiatric Care For Youth Subacute unit provides a safe and secure environment for youth to stabilize from a mental health crisis. The team, consisting of psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, and psychiatric technicians, works collaboratively with youth and their guardians to offer compassionate care that supports stabilization.
On average, youth are discharged within three weeks of admission. Prior to discharge, the team works closely with guardians and community supports to develop a plan for ongoing care.
The facility fosters a nurturing and empowering environment where youth can recover, reflect, and develop the skills necessary to thrive. Each youth receives comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs, promoting overall well-being and encouraging personal growth.
