Find Mental Health Providers Across New York

I've been enrolled in the New Horizon day program for approximately a year, and for the most part, it's been a good experience. However, there have been small infractions that have made me select another program for my mental health.

They have great therapy and psychiatry here. They are very welcoming, helpful and attentive to the patient's needs. They set certain clients up with a care coordinator who also extends help to you. Everyone is nonjudgmental and are always focused on the positive. I can also say one of the best parts of the visit is the receptionist Dipsey who is an absolute darling. She helps with appointments and will always put a smile on your face.

This place helps people to get out of addition

Unfortunately had a bad experiences with this clinic. As someone who works in the mental health field, the assembly line, robotic atmosphere Dr. Rudoy and the staff provides is sterile and unwelcoming. Sessions were short and curt and no rapport was ever built.

Rose is the best psychiatry medical professional I have ever seen! I was referred by my therapist and I’m so happy I was. She listens to me and is so helpful when describing medications. Telehealth is so helpful when I am at school and they are very good at quick communication! The receptionists are absolutely lovely and I have been given so much help and support from everyone I’ve met there.

When you are uncomfortable and are afraid to share Horizon Health Services is the place to go to become comfortable! Their services are beyond impeccable! I have never had a bad experience there. The counselors are met with caring and kindness. They are in full support of your goals and do anything to assist you in obtaining them. I’ve been able to express my deepest darkest secrets and traumas with my counselors WITHOUT ANY JUDGEMENT! Please give Horizon Health Services a try! What can you lose? An hour to meet with a counselor to decide if you want to become a part of their excellent services?

I love this location. Horizon has helped me so much in the 13 months I've been here as a patient.

My experience with Dr. Yael Helfgott was not as helpful as I had hoped. The therapy ended in a way that felt unexpected and difficult to understand.

This place is really bad. The therapists are condescending, bossy lyres. I could fill up four pages with the things they did and said that were wrong but mainly I feel like they screwed with my head. I went to Bridge because I have bad anxiety and depression disorders and they are a dual diagnosis (Mental Health) program. They messed everything up and misconstrued everything I said. They didn’t inform me about how the program works and when I asked questions they told me that I wasn’t serious about the program or it was already clearly explained. While I was there I was really anxious and was constantly having panic attacks all I was focusing on was trying to be normal. Anyone who has an anxiety disorder probably knows what I’m talking about. Because I was in such bad shape, I didn’t realize that they most likely thought I was lying about my disorder. They made me feel so small that I am completely uncomfortable to tell my new therapist how I actually feel. I’m afraid they are going to use it against me. As a result, I’m not getting better. I’m sober but a complete mental wreck.

My therapist Mariam is phenomenal she has empowered me in so many ways. She is very attentive and create a safe space where I feel heard and understood. I've actually noticed meaningful progress since starting sessions. If you're going through trauma I recommend you ask for her...

This place is the best place to go for help. The staff here are incredible and very personable and efficient. Dr. Neumann is the best doctor I have ever known in my entire life. She really cares about her patients and does everything she can to help them. The office staff are always nice and welcoming. I've been going there over 3 years now, and I've never had a bad experience. They're not like other facilities that put you on medication and then try to wean you off it straight away. They don't want you to relapse. As long as you stay clean and only take the medications you're supposed to, and complete the program accordingly, you will never have a problem. Those that write negative reviews are likely the ones that didn't want to stay clean and sober, or do the counseling and toxicology tests. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone suffering from addiction. They are very accommodating.

Thanks to everyone here I have been able to get my life back on track after a crippling dance with opiates that lasted over a decade. On top of all that, I continue sessions to ensure that I am walking the best path I can - the weekly meetings, the degree of care during personal emergencies, and the actual reflection of the progress that I have made are all things that have helped me improve my life. I am a more whole person thanks to Delphi Rise. Healing one's self is never a straight path, but at least it doesn't have to be solitary or terribly crooked - Delphi kind of stands as an illuminating light in a terribly dark world. Keep it up, guys.

Called yesterday to get setup for inpatient it couldn't have been easier and Jill was super nice and helpful with the process

Coming from a 7+ year Heroin / Fentanyl addict who is now 116 days clean (as of today), this outpatient program really did blow my expectations out of the water. I have no idea how this place doesn't have a higher rating than it does. I wouldn't trust many of these negative reviews to be honest...my guess is that a majority of them are from people that are still suffering from this disease of addiction and something minor and/or specific set them off into having a negative experience here. In any case, all I can convey here is the experience that I myself have had at Parallax - and it's been absolutely amazing (and throughout these entire 10 weeks that I have been going to Outpatient groups, every person I have talked to has only had glowing things to say about it as well!). It's SO clear how much the staff - from the facilitators / counselors all the way to the front desk / reception - truly cares about helping folks recover from alcoholism and drug addiction. HUGE shoutout to Ashley, one of the group counselors, as she is so caring and compassionate and truly lives her job the way she lives her life, and it makes such a difference. But whether it's Ashley or another counselor, these groups have been so instrumental to my recovery and I cannot thank them all enough for contributing so positively to my recovery journey. Without Parallax, I do not know where I would be right now - so if you're thinking about an Outpatient Program or an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), I would definitely try giving Parallax a shot. I promise you will not regret it!

Rita is the best thing they have going at citizen advocates. She actually communicates without judgement and treats people like human beings unlike most of the other employees. Rita is extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to so I recommend her constantly to my clients as I work in behavioral health as well!!
