Staff at the facility are nice and can be helpful. But it consistently takes half an hour or more over the appointment time scheduled weeks or months in advance just to get checked in. Arrive early, late, doesn't matter. It takes ages to sit in the lobby and wait for someone to take you. The place can be empty and you're still late. Why schedule appointments with times? Even when they take you into the back, the doctor may not show up for an additional half hour. So a 2pm appointment becomes 3pm and you're still sitting there twiddling your thumbs. And the doctor talks to you for less than 5 minutes. So 1 hour late for 5 minutes of time. It's so strange. Note, you can't call Astoria Nao Medical. They have no number. You have to call the automated phone system which is a nightmare to navigate, drops you, and will often dump you to the wrong people who can't help you. The people are not staff at Astoria, they are remote people who knows where with no knowledge of anything. They can't assist with prescriptions or appointments or contacting the doctor. The phone support also lie, they tell you they'll call back and never do. They never follow up so you can spend 2 hours on the phone for nothing. Billing is a mess, they're not transparent and if you do blood work expect a bill in the mail 6-12 months later from some place in Long Island you've not heard of and no one informed you of. Surprise billing.
