Service was okay. I paid $100.95 in money order last month. She told me it will take one week and a half for my glasses to come in. I called there very sad my call went to voice mail. So I left one. Never got a called back. Or did they close down their department? 🤷🏽 I live out of town.

Absolutely awful service, from the doctors to the front staff. I was told 4 days ago that they would send in my medications. They did not, I had to wait until the end of the weekend to call them again. I had to call them 5 times on Monday because that entire time they did not return my calls and I didn’t receive any information. When I finally was put through the receptionist was extremely rude, did not listen to me at all. I said I needed 4 medications, I gave them the name of each one. They put in 2. I have been off my medications going on 5 days now. I’m going through such bad withdrawal. Not to mention this has happened on multiple occasions. For a mental health clinic, they sure don’t care about their patients mental health.

I have been seeing Dr Brito for over a year now. She was able to control my diabetes and ive lost close to 65 lbs in the process. Shes caring, understanding and fair. She cares about patient care not numbers. She makes sure you understand your treatment as well. I recommend her to the fullest. 5 stars hands down *****+

I attended marriage counseling with this therapist Patricia in March 2025 and had a very disappointing experience. While I appreciated that she allowed me to bring my son, she often shifted her attention to him during our sessions, talking to him and taking up time that should have been focused on our counseling. There were also times when she did paperwork or even took a phone call during our appointment, which felt unprofessional and disrespectful of the time I was there for OUR session She used comments like “men think and women feel,” which didn't feel helpful or accurate. When I expressed wanting my husband to take weekends off so we could have family time, she told me I didn’t appreciate what he was doing which is not true. Instead of offering balance or understanding, I left feeling blamed and invalidated. I’m writing this now because I finally built up the courage after months of thinking about it. The experience has made it difficult for me to trust marriage counseling again because I’m afraid of being dismissed the same way. This was my honest experience.

My provider is great but I don’t like the fact that there’s incompetent people working in the office. The one in particular is Rosa. She lacks customer service skills and perhaps needs more training. I called needing a medication refill FOUR times on a Friday. I understand that my provider does not work on Fridays and the medication I needed refilled runs out today and is one that cannot just be stopped without repercussions. I explained that to Rosa and that I do not want to end up in the ER. She just kept nonchalantly repeating, “I will let the nurse know. I will give the nurse your message” over and over again. No empathy at all! Ridiculous and unacceptable!! Get more and better help in the office, especially on Fridays LCDF!

This post will be about the Behavioral Health side. All the ladies that work the desk are wonderful, especially Raquel. She's always so patient and kind when dealing with scheduling my appointments and anything else that arises. They always decorate super cute for all the holidays. I really enjoy how friendly and welcoming they make the lobby feel. They deserve the 5 star rating.

First of all this name is not accurate the life breach should be what it really be called or time wasters Incorporated. Just so you know they don't help anyone with homelessness anymore this is as of the date of this review I waited 3 months since June to get a caseworker and because they're such a horrible employer and they're such a horrible asset if you can even call them that to this community they have a high turnover rate and they can't hold on to a caseworker to save their life so until you had a caseworker this was in times past there was no way to move forward with your housing so thank God to the New Mexico Coalition of homelessness they took over the process and you can contact them to get moving forward with your otherwise halted process with this useless company I swear I think the CFO and CEO need to be imprisoned for stealing taxpayer money and state money and pocketing it for fraud because one out of 16 people I think get housing and it takes them like a year excuse me took them a year to get anyone anywhere in the process and their whole system was just a jacked up bunk rip off of time they have a very quick in process but they don't tell you that oh let's go ahead and put you on a back burner weight list that's just going to waste your time even though you have limited time at the shelter you're staying at but it's okay one of the guys even told me just go camping you may have to go camping buy a tent and live in the wilderness. Yep waste your time with these losers. 😤

Whomever supervises these kids when they go out around town, need to do a better job at it!!! They show up to stores with more kids than they can handle and they allow the kids to shoplift while the supervisors are all distracted not paying attention to them. The sad thing about it is that when they do watch them they dont go up to them to stop the shoplifting in progress. The occurrence I witnessed today is beyond disgusting and unfortunate by all of the kids and these so called "supervisors".

Worst service ever given. Made me feel embarrassed about asking for help. Had me wait months before receiving a call. I can't afford my own phone so I'm borrowing a friend to let me know about the call. I have apparently missed three calls so I'm now no longer going to receive help. I deserve to be treated like a human being. Rosie only left two voicemails. I communicate with them about when I'm available and she called during the time I was not available. If you want to feel worse about your situation. Please go to FYI+. Rosie you are useless to the community

If I could give this place no stars I would The people are very rude and disrespectful in the front desk and the so-called rent a cop who doesn't even know how to do his job is scared enough to pull his baton out as a threating weapon. these people need to be shut down as a company I would never recommend this place for anybody especially when they treat people like crap and they need to get rid of their so-called rent a cop after how you treated people taking out his weapon very unprofessional and he needs to be fired for what he did. This place does not deserve to be open anymore. Your job is to have sympathy and respect for the people that come in especially for those who have mental illnesses, If you lack any of those traits having a job like this especially in a profession like this you don't deserve to work in a job like that at all.

Every other clinica de familia has respectable people in the front desk.maybe it’s time they look elsewhere if they’re gonna treat people the way they do.

Go here if you want your children to die! My son was diagnosed with breathing issues, and an xray was requested of Alta Vista from El Centro. Still have yet to know what the xray results were!! Simply because El Centro and Alta Vista don't know how to talk to each other or upload results into the portal. I finally went to Santa Fe to get answers. What about folk who can't afford to go to urgent care in Santa Fe? He needed steroids for how bad his untreated bronchitis had become 5 days after El Centro had seen him with no diagnosis and no interpretation of Xray results. Shame on you for the lack of follow through and care! I called so many different people and got the run around for days! Absolutely saddened that this is what our community gets for Healthcare!

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in New Mexico?
When comparing providers in New Mexico, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in New Mexico?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in New Mexico?
Yes. Mental Health US includes New Mexico providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all New Mexico providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
