Best behavioral health center I've ever been in.If you have a choice of which mental hospital you're sent to, this is the one you want to pick. Most of the staff are very kind and attentive and they're passionate about what they do. The groups are fun and informative and include games, music, and yoga. I liked how the group leaders would talk about their own personal experiences. Throughout the day you have free access to the TV and to snacks and during the Superbowl they even ordered us snack packs from a fast food place. I appreciated being treated like a human being who was worthy of dignity and respect, and I wish the mental health industry in general would follow the lead of Hampton.

GREAT PEOPLE! VERY SUPPORTIVE AND ACCESSIBLE PLACE THAT HELPED ME WHILE I WAS BECOMING SOBER, ADVOCATED FOR ME AND WAS THERE FOR ME WHEN I WAS GOING THROUGH COURT PROCEEDINGS WHEN I HAD NEVER DEALT WITH ISSUES LIKE THAT BEFORE. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!

This is my second time receiving care at family connections in a 7 year time frame. A safe place, one that genuinely cares about their clients. I’m already seeing progress within my self as well as my mental health because my clinician is AMAZING. If you’re willing to put the work into the exercises being taught, you instantly feel this weight lifted off of you. I’m grateful for my clinician and all of the efforts she’s putting into me 🙏🏼

This place has an amazing IOP program and the staff is awesome if your having substance abuse issues and want help I highly recommend

My life has changed because of this clinic. I was in a place in life that I no longer wanted to live because of my addiction. I went to the clinic and the staff was so helpful. They showed love and patience. They gave me back my dignity. Through my counselor Ms.Vera I have learned to hold my head high. That I have a bright future. I know that if I need someone to talk to she is the for me. I am thankful for everything she has done and will continue to do for me. I know qith her help and the help of her staff I get better.

I was denied entry to the clinic at 12:01 PM, citing the clinic's closing time as 12:00 PM. I work 30 minutes away and have a break from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. I usually make it a few minutes before closing, which I've repeatedly explained to the clinic staff. But today, the security guard said he had received strict instructions from the administration that no patients should enter after 12:00 PM. Perhaps it's worth reminding you that you're not handing out candy, but rather providing important medications to the clinic's patients. Without these medications, patients experience withdrawal symptoms and symptoms such as severe muscle and joint pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hand tremors, shaking, and cramps. Thank God I have a car, but I often see people running late because the bus is a few minutes late and they have to leave empty-handed. This is an inhumane and disgusting way to treat your patients. Imagine breaking your nose or a tooth, but the doctor closes the door in your face and tells you to come back tomorrow because it's already 12:01. Good luck surviving that night.

SO FRUSTRATING...I've been going to The Counseling Center for 3+ years. Every counselor, with the exception of one were great - trustworthy, patient, open minded, caring, etc. - the problem is they keep quitting (my most current counselor just called today to say she's leaving) - I've had FIVE counselors since I started going there - they have a HIGH turnover rate - so each time I'm assigned a new counselor (which sometimes takes months of being put on a waiting list) I have to start over again explaining my life's history, my many medical diagnosis and limitations - it is SO TIRING and STRESSFUL to go through this process over and over!

Provides a very warm and open atmosphere for consumers, as well as great provisions for lunch and group activities.

Originally posted a negative review. However, one of the owners actually contacted me, and they are working with me to resume treatment quickly and with consideration of my financial status.

Wow this treatment center has so many services and great warm staff who provide the services. The facility is 3 floors and has an elevator and it's is beautifully designed and decorated. It's modern, clean, zen, peaceful, aesthetically pleasing, and a safe space with sound machines and electronically designed to hide the identity of clients inside the rooms at the switch or a button. They also care about the staff … they have snacks and drinks for staff along with the 3rd floor dedicated to provide a zen like quiet space for staff. This is a description from Google: "ASun Star is a social services organization in East Rutherford, NJ, that provides behavioral and mental health services for at-risk youth, adults, and families, including those with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). They offer in-home and outpatient counseling, after-school programs, and specialized support for issues like trauma, substance abuse, and anger management, using a strength-based approach to help individuals reach their potential." It's amazing and lovely and a place you can get help to make you work on your best self. Plus an EV charging station. BTW it’s right across from the NJ Transit East Rutherford train station so it’s very accessible.
The staff is incredible. .sliding scale. .if you want help you will get it here. .love it, love it, love it!!
I go-to to this program and I recommend to people that need it, that is is in need of help and in need of a place to live. They can help you. With meds emergency food shelter clothing and counseling.

Honestly what I don't like is that your company, because this is all companies making money. I had a 5 minute and 25 sec session with my psychiatrist, but yet you will go and charge me and the insurance a full hour and that's not right. I have all my session on my phone recorded. I will also be informing my insurance about how long my sessions are so that they stop robbing then because in the end I have to pay those co pays out of pocket. I don't have anything against Dr. Frometa she is a good, caring, compassionate and kind. But if I could give you a zero meaning the institution not her , I would. I'm very disappointed with these services. The only one that gives me full service is my therapist and I truly appreciate her.

Completely friendly supportive staff. Counselors are well educated, teach well and can see they like to help. A clean full of positivity place!
