While I do not have firsthand experience with Ascend Behavioral Health Network, I feel compelled to leave this review based on the leadership behind it. The managing partner, Ian Treacy, was also the founder of Amethyst Recovery Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where my family did have direct experience. What Ian built at Amethyst set the bar for what quality, compassionate, and accountable addiction treatment should look like. After seven long years of watching my son battle the disease of addiction, we experienced firsthand the heartbreak that so many families know too well: lack of care, lack of accountability, lack of available beds, broken promises, inadequate treatment, and little to no aftercare. Amethyst was different. From the very first call, there was urgency, follow-through, and compassion. Insurance was verified, transportation was arranged, and barriers were removed quickly—giving my son the best possible chance before addiction could change his mind. What followed was a level of care I had not seen elsewhere: dedicated and qualified clinicians, staff who had truly “walked the walk,” structured accountability, genuine belonging, and programming that went beyond the basics—adventure therapy, fitness, family involvement, and real aftercare planning. Most importantly, Amethyst gave me something I had lost along the way: hope. My son has since passed from this disease. But knowing what I know now—and knowing who Ian is, how he leads, and the standard of care he demands—I can say without hesitation that I would have trusted Ascend Behavioral Health Network with my son’s life. If Ascend reflects even a portion of the heart, integrity, and commitment that Ian brought to Amethyst, then there is real good to be had there. Families searching for ethical, compassionate, and accountable treatment deserve leaders like this in the recovery space. Five stars, with gratitude and respect.

I would not recommend this place to anyone who is truly seeking help. Based on my experience, the conditions were unacceptable and honestly felt unsafe. The facility itself was dirty and poorly maintained, and interactions with staff were consistently rude and dismissive rather than supportive or professional. What concerned me most was what I personally observed around medication and medical care. From what I could tell, medications were being handed out by staff who did not appear to be licensed, and there was no RN or LPN visibly on site. That made me seriously question how prepared this facility would be if a real medical emergency occurred. It did not feel like a place equipped to handle crisis situations responsibly. Living conditions were also extremely overcrowded. Residents were packed six people to a room with twin-sized bunk beds, leaving little to no personal space. On top of that, food was often an issue — meals were inconsistent, portions were below average, and at times it felt like they were running out altogether. Recovery is hard enough without having to worry about basic safety, dignity, and care. This place did not provide an environment that felt supportive, therapeutic, or focused on true rehabilitation. I strongly encourage anyone looking for treatment to explore other options.

I have been seeing Juanita over one year. She is amazing, she cares. This has been the issue I have seen with most therapist, that they don’t care but she does. She has a lot of compassion for people and is available when I have needed her. I definitely recommend her.
This partial care facility demonstrates exceptional quality and commitment to excellence. The staff's professionalism, expertise, and compassionate approach create a warm and supportive environment.

My experience at Pemberton was a good one! I was there for short term. The staff really do care about helping you to stay clean and sober! I learn so many new things about myself. My counselor ( Mrs Jennifer) , helped me so much when I wanted to give up! Also Mr Chris (CIT) was a great mentor to me! 52 days clean and sober. Also Thanks to Ms Wali, Cassandra, Ashley and Nicole!

If you are searching for this, you have nothing left to lose and everything to gain. You don't have to wake up in w/d ever again. The people who work here save lives by the hour. Everyone is kind, understanding, and there are no judgements. People who attend are from ALL walks of life and all religions/salaries/housing & family situations. If you work with them & do your best, there should be no problem. I see a 1 star review on here…. Everything they complained about is common knowledge. Follow the rules, listen to your counselor and save your own LIFE! Stop waking up sick every day, it's SO unnecessary.

Going to preface this by saying I went here for under 2wksk over a decade ago and left…but stayed sober and I’ve been clean for 10 years but not giving this place any credit for that because I was much better off with freedom at an outpatient program. You will have more freedom in jail than here. This place is too restrictive and has culty vibes. There are better programs you can go to. Most addicts are also smokers so my opinion personally is going to a place like this that doesn’t allow smoking, is counter productive to someone who’s an addict, as quitting everything at once is overwhelming. at first I thought they weren’t doing it to be overly controlling and maybe simply for some “safety reason” like lack of fire insurance or something, but that has nothing to do with it. Because even when you get permission to leave the property to go somewhere like a visiting pass you can’t smoke. They will actually DRUG test you for nicotine when you come back and count it as a failed drug test and if you’re on any type of probation they will report it to them as a failed drug test with zero context all because you smoked a cigarette. Staff also doesn’t allow you to have your legal prescribed medications, basically takes away any little glimmer of joy you have to look forward to. Strong toxic culture here of clients who are pitted against each other by staff and encouraged to gossip about each other to the staff. You’ll be in your room sharing your feelings to a roommate about something and all of a sudden in your next “check in” session your counselor assigned to you will somehow know what you said and bring it up. So I think they have hidden cameras in the bedrooms or something. Overall not a great place. in conclusion…Very much handmaids tale vibes, very centered on Christian values. And not very inclusive mindset. Just very unsettling. Glad I left and had more success outside of this place with an IOP.

I had a very positive experience at this medical center. The staff were professional, friendly, and attentive from the moment I arrived. The reception team handled check-in quickly, and the waiting time was minimal. The doctors and nurses were knowledgeable and took the time to listen carefully to my concerns. They explained my condition and treatment options clearly, which made me feel comfortable and confident about my care. The facility itself was clean, well-organized, and modern. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the quality of service and would highly recommend this medical center to anyone looking for reliable and compassionate healthcare.

was part of the PHP and IOP programs at Harmony, and I’m incredibly grateful for my experience. The staff is attentive, professional, and truly cares about their clients. They offer yoga and special outings that really support overall mental health and recovery. I especially connected with Dr. Gina, Sharlice, and Veronica — they were compassionate, supportive, and deeply invested in my growth. Harmony played a huge role in helping me get sober and become more independent. They also stayed in communication with my family who lived far away, which meant so much. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking support and real change.

This place has alot of great resources to offer. My prescriber is Magdelina. She listens carefully and came up with a plan to meet my needs in recovery. My therapist Marina is personable & phenomenal. I wish all therapists were like her. Not to mention Michelle at the Front Desk is very helpful and stays on top of submitting paperwork in a timely manner. Groups inc DBT were very helpful as well. The therapist who run the groups are very patient. My time here is being well spent. Highly recommended

Magdalene salami We have been with Owen health care since 2012. The office and field staff are very reliable, dependable, effective and professional at all times. They are extremely knowledgeable at the services ( respite, ABA therapy and PCA) they provide for my son. I highly recommend owen health care.

My experience at Grace Abounds Counseling was priceless. The staff did an amazing job, going above and beyond to ensure all my issues and concerns are taken good care of. Their attention to detail and emphatic nature is unmatched.

Dr. Green has completely transformed my life! From our very first session, I felt heard and understood. The techniques she taught me have given me the tools to manage my anxiety like never before. I can't recommend her enough!
