I do agree with one review. This place is not Educated enough to handle people with Schizophrenic. Maybe depression and anxiety. People. My sister was there for over 2 weeks and she is worse than ever.she was sent home. I had to take her to the hospital again to try to get her better help. She was recommended to go to southeast Mississippi state hospital where she can get well, but the Nurse Practitioner refused tto send her. I was told by them she has Dimitri which' was not provided to me by a Neurologist. I were told by another hospital that she do need. Psychiatric treatment.

This place is horrible. The only person who knows what they are doing in that place is Sandra. Miss Margie is nice and helpful but everybody else is extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. They will call to make your appointment but if your voicemail is full and they are unable to leave a message for an appointment. They will not call you back. They will not text. They will not send an email, if your child is running out of medicine and they don’t have any appointments, they don’t care and will let the child run out of medicine even if it is extremely harmful for them to go without medicine. They don’t care. Their extremely high turnover rate makes it very frustrating. Your child will get to know one therapist and buy the next appointment or appointment after that it’s a new therapist and .They’re extremely high turnover rate makes it very frustrating. I was in Alliance's 'New Leaf' Partial Hospitalization Program for addiction in 2024 for 21 days. It was comprehensive therapy. It wasn't a 5 star resort nor was it intended to be. Most of the staff, especially the techs were very caring and helpful. I saw a good doctor every week along with a treatment team to work on my progress and the rest of the time we had group sessions or home time ( time spent at the residence I was assigned to). I was able to have my own phone and tobacco is allowed also. I would recommend this facility to those in surrounding areas.

I have two close friends that have tried to use this agency. It appesrs all they care about is money, not people. This is supposed to be a place for low income people to get help with mental health, but when you are required to pay $35 every time you talk to some one and every time you need to speak to a Dr or NP even if its the same call. This is why so many people are out here suffering from mental health problems because they cant even afford low income help like this is supposed to be.

My granddaughter was running low on her medication and I tried desperately to get a refill several days before the holiday weekend. On the third day of trying, I was finally informed that her nurse practioner was off for New Years and wouldn't be back until Tuesday January 3rd and no one else could write the script. WOW. so now, she has to do without meds. They didn't even seem concerned about it at all. Angry is an understatement.

of the 5 visits to the Jackson (Sonny Montgomery) VA I have had ZERO quality experiences. I was treated in the hallway at the ER for a back injury, the phone hardly ever works to talk with someone and half the time you reach out, the operator sounds hungover or frustrated to the point of rude-- Give your workers a raise or hire outside help. This is ridiculous. We fought for our country.

You never see a doctor in person. They made an appointment in the office and you’d think you would meet someone in person. However, you don’t. The doctor gave me a script that took me over a week and several calls to even get it sent over. Total waste of my time and gas.

Some of the most rude and heartless human beings on the planet. My 20 year old daughter, who struggled with a fentanyl addiction, finally put her life together after being sent to the most incredible recovery center in northern USA. She moved back home to MS to finish college, went to this place to help her with Suboxone. She is on it short term, since she’s new in her recovery. This place treated her so poorly. Very judgmental, down talking to her. Made her feel 1 inch tall. Most people on this earth want to make a positive change in peoples lives, even if small. Be a light in so much darkness. These people do the complete opposite. I can’t help but wonder how many humans they have probably sent over the edge by making them feel worthless. I obviously do not recommend.

I was in a bad car wreck guy hit me no insurance no lic. They put me in the same room with the guy that hit me and not with my mom that was in my car. They said I was just bruised up well I went to another doctor found out my neck was fractured. And my rib was fractured. Do you no the pain I went through because all the doctor wanted was to get me out of there .Doctor was there was not nice at all just laughed at me that I said I want to be with my mom not with the guy that hit me. Never go there again .The patients need to be taken care of and not set at desk flirting with nurses. My moms eye needed to be cleaned and fixed he put glue on my moms eye didn't clean it and said she was ready to go. We got home my sister and me cleaned my moms eye .She could have had infection set up to them not doing there job.

If I could give it negative I would!!! 3rd trip for one shot! 1st trip didn't tell me I need an appointment, said just come early. I get there and I'm told no you need an appointment. Cant come back til they open Monday. Now I have an appointment but the nurse won't be here for a couple hours. They can't promise me a spot at that time..I'll just have to wait. No communication, horrible customer service. I counted 7 dead roaches in the waiting area where the children's table is. What can be done to improve or does anyone there even care? Beyond frustrated!!

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Mississippi?
When comparing providers in Mississippi, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Mississippi?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Mississippi?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Mississippi providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Mississippi providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
