The whole entire 95 Thompson area smells like urine, the whole neighborhood over there smells like urine, Their drugs are experimental and can create more side effects than help. I was expecting a more pleasant experience. The smell outside smells like they're practicing not medicine but voodoo. I give them a thumbs down because they stink and reek of fowl play.

Spoke to Anthony and was very disappointed in the service. Spent 45 minutes explaining to him the symptoms/episodes my brother has been experiencing and how it has impacted my family. Had to wake up early to have a follow up call with him as well and had requested him to speak with my brother and entice him or help him understand that there is help available. All Anthony did was call my brother to give him the help hotline number. Call lasted no more than 2 minutes. I could have googled the help hotline number. Very disappointed in this service as it was not helpful what so ever.

This place is a joke. Their prescriber is a fool and put me on the WORST medication I've ever been on after claiming I was schizophrenic (which is not my official state diagnosis). After it built up in my system I suffered from anhedonia, akathisia and unwanted sexual side effects. I had to take matters into my own hands to get off of it, and doing so in a safe manner took months. The building itself is old and outdated, the food is terrible, and the beds are tiny and uncomfortable. Do yourself a favor and just stay away.

Avoid this place at all costs if you actually have the normal need to talk to atleast the front desk about a symptom due medications. They are hands down THEE worst center I have ever dealt with and will be looking for a new office that actually calls back their patients. Beyond frustrated that this is not the first time this has happened with this office.

Dr. Reyes is the worst! If you do not agree with her diagnosis, she will threaten you with a hearing. If you do not agree with her diagnosis, she will not discharge you. If you do not agree with her diagnosis, she will call you delusional.

Therapist has forgetten/canceled over half of my sons appointments. When reported to the supervisor Erin responded with an inappropriate opinion on the scheduling. When contacting their manager they have so far refused to respond. If they got their act together could be a good place as the in person staff have been quite nice. Looking at other reviews im sure ill get the response to call them to resolve/discuss even though ive already tried the appropriate channels.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the evaluation process my child and I experienced at your office. To be direct, the way diagnoses were assigned in a single session—lasting less than two hours—felt rushed, careless, and completely unprofessional. Walking out with multiple diagnoses after such a brief interaction raises serious concerns about the accuracy and integrity of your process. Additionally, the evaluator we were assigned to displayed a clear lack of engagement and professionalism. Their demeanor suggested they did not want to be there. They avoided eye contact, focused more on note-taking than actually interacting, and came across as dismissive and, frankly, judgmental. At times, it even felt as though there was a level of prejudice in how we were treated. This is not acceptable when dealing with children and families who are seeking support, clarity, and proper care. Because of this experience, I made the decision to leave with my child and will be pursuing services through a private practice with more experience, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to patient care. I strongly urge your office to reevaluate both your diagnostic procedures and the professionalism of your staff. No family should leave feeling dismissed, judged, or inaccurately labeled after such a short and disconnected interaction.

There's a lot of disregard for mental health in this place, and many employees have no idea what mental health is. Catholic Charities management doesn't care about complaints. They don't care. I'm going to file a complaint with the Human Rights Commission.

I have been a patient at ucfs since March 2016. I never encountered such unprofessionalism at a Dr's office in my life. I have a chronic pain disease fibromyalga, also severe arthritis in my neck along with bulging disc's and bone splints. The last time I was given pain medication (5 MG percs). 6 in total. I understand there is an opioid epidemic and Dr's are fearful of prescribing people who actually benefit from short-term use of this medicine. I have been complaining about the same problems over and over again and no one is listening or even checking out what I'm there for. I have so many instances where no one has listened I ended being hospitalized. If someone would like to respond to me about this please feel free to call me. One of the biggest issues I have is that Dr's there are more interesting in there reputation than helping patients. I actually had a dr not sure if this is her first or last name. Dr lily walked in the room didn't even check my hands which were extremely swollen and red. Was told over the phone that in order to get 6 pain meds I had to go into the office. The Dr I usually see happened to be out that day. After explaining this Dr lily said and I quote "what do I look like a drug dealer " I have many other horrible experiences in that office.

I'm only giving one star here because a fat zero isn't offered . Where do I start with this place , my son has been here , the lack of care is disgraceful that he felt worse when leaving. They are so unprofessional including the lobby staff. Today I go for an appointment to meet a case manager for my son. When I checked in with Julissa I was told she'd let Sabrina know I was there. When 15 min passed I went to the window and asked what's going on . Julissa assured me Sabrina was there because she saw her in the morning. Now a total of 25 min pass that I'm still waiting and Julissa says a supervisor will be out to talk to me. When two supposed supervisors came out to me , I was told Sabrina was out sick today and they called her clients but yet I wasn't called nor on her list of appointments. I had just spoken to her last Wed for 30 min and made 5 consecutive appointments. My son will NEVER go to this place again and neither will I even entertain them trying to help and assist with the things he needs. WARNING- DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE A THOUGHT WHAT SO EVER- STAY AWAY!!!

If I could leave -100 stars I would terrible place all they do is drug the patient up so they won’t even be able to talk. Also don’t take care of their patients. Dropped off a patient in the middle of a damn town that they didn’t know the area to find a ride. Talk about bad hospitality.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Connecticut?
When comparing providers in Connecticut, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Connecticut?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Connecticut?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Connecticut providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Connecticut providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
