Look elsewhere. This counselor dragged me around for over a month as I was trying to help a family member. Rescheduling, repetitive questions and calls...an absolute disaster. Called them because they are close and they finally ended up referring somewhere 10 miles away due to counselor overscheduling. If you can't help, don't drag patients along...refer immediately. Avoid. Unethical practices.

Waiting on the phone for over 25 minutes for intake. This is really inconvenient and doesn’t make me feel like they will help when they can’t even answer the phone in professional timely manner.

I had some family loses and went to Life Intensity. Just in the 1st session I left feeling relieved & lifted. I will definitely be coming back!

My stay at Austin Oaks Hospital was the most traumatic experience of my life during an already severe mental health crisis. I am writing this because I continue to see advertisements for this facility. Based on my experience, I would not recommend sending a teenager, family member, or loved one here. As a woman seeking mental health treatment, I felt psychologically unsafe my whole time . Due to my patient bill of rights being violated multiple times . And the unprofessional and abusive staff. And I was sexually harassed here. I repeatedly heard nurses and technicians make fun of patients and speak about them disrespectfully. The staff lacked training in trauma-informed care and PTSD. I repeatedly explained my history of trauma and asked for help, but my concerns were consistently dismissed. I believe multiple patient rights were violated during my treatment. I was not adequately informed about my diagnosis, treatment plan, medications, or the reasoning behind important decisions regarding my care. I repeatedly asked questions and advocated for myself but often felt ignored or dismissed. I also requested a different psychiatrist and was denied that opportunity. No one meaningfully reviewed my treatment plan with me, discussed alternative options, or explained decisions affecting my care. At several points, I felt I had no voice in my own treatment. It ultimately took hiring a lawyer for me to leave and learn what was being documented about me, despite being there voluntarily at that point. I never met with an individual therapist during my stay. I was sexually harassed by another patient and reported it multiple times. I repeatedly explained that I am a survivor with PTSD. The harassment even occurred in front of a social worker. Rather than addressing the patient’s behavior, I was told to move, avoid him, or hide from him. I was also made to feel as though my clothing was somehow contributing to the problem. I did not feel protected, supported, or safe. The only people who consistently stood up for me were other patients who helped shield me from unwanted attention. Communication with my therapist, psychiatrist, family, and friends was extremely difficult. Calls were dropped and purposely sent to other units where I could not be reached. I experienced serious concerns regarding medication management, including not receiving needed medication when requested. I also witnessed another patient experience a seizure following medication-related issues despite the medication having already been brought to the Most importantly, I left the facility in worse condition than when I entered. I remain in contact with several former patients from that time, and many continue to share concerns about their experiences. Please do not send anyone here. Again this was traumatic for not only me but my peers. Disgusted by staff and management.

I had no problem with my doctor whatsoever.. It's the customer service I received on my phone. She had a very abrupt and very bad attitude.\n She didn't leave me a proper message when she left one. So I had to call her in regards to it. I wouldn't have had to call her if I would have gotten the proper information on the phone.\n When I did contact her, she had a very cold attitude ... made it sound like it was a problem for her to help... Her name is evelyn graham... If I give respect , I expect to get respect and there was none there
TDLR: I’ve been with flourish for going on 5-6 years now. Straight out of college. Good and bad experiences with therapists and psychiatrists. I’m very invested in therapy and mental wellness so I am willing to be patient and give it another go.
From my point of view, which is also the POV of a repeated former patient of that hospital, there were several different occasions that were caused by negativity from people (those with serious emotional issues usually) who were involuntarily admitted for whatever reasons. I also got to watch censored TV/movies there, so there’s some mild entertainment that comes along with the temporary mental treatment that’s provided at the clinic… which isn’t permanently closed for those like me with iPhones & happen to use Maps instead of Google Maps even though those two apps are almost identical as far as titles go. I didn’t like how often I would see the techs look at their phones during the entire shifts they were ‘working’ & the only reason why I was bothered by them
This place is a scam. Do not go here. They are simply after the money and do not care for anyone. There are always being investigated by the state.

I am very frustrated with the set up and conditions...First time there I was almost late taking a client, went to every entrance I found to be told to go through the side road that Clearly States Private Property No Thru Traffic thst means DO NOT GO THERE but That is where the entrance is...tge Sugn Needs To Read ENTRANCE WITH AN ARROW! I'm not a client but after the stress of going to the wrong (old) location, speeding through town on the phone with letting them know we're on our way to NOT CANCEL, as the client severely mentally stressed needed services, That Stupid Sign didn't help , I need counseling now just ti deal with that scenario that had me upset all mf day...stupid.....now I'm chewing on a second appt rescheduled by ORLINDA cause we were allegedly 10min late & we sat in the waiting room over 40min for them to notify us of this🤬I drove an hour to pick up client & get her there in 60moh winds tgst I had to load & unload a wheelchair in the back of my truck, balance her extreme weight to get her inside, wait on getting to another window & wait in line before they acknowledge her existence there that hurry & wait game cost us that 10min tardy just to be told you should've been 15min early, appt was 2:40 we were there at that time I asked what is late time frame? Isn't it 15min???? They said it's up to the worker...so that whole two hrs i struggled to ensure this individual doesn't end up in the Pavillion again, we were rejected & scheduled another 2mo out...I'm going to be fired up for a week. this is causing me mental issues..i feel that is abuse of authority, a few min accommodations could've been made for this individual the severely needed help....how many other people are being affected on a negative experience and they have no one to tell, because that's what they're supposed to BE THERE FOR

ER nurse made the appointment. Took patient 30 minutes early, was told patient could not be seen, patient was in crisis.
I cannot thank CFD more, they get a million stars for helping put together the BEST support team for my D and Family. I’m forever grateful to this Austin location and the amazing staff. We used for PHP and IOP and they are absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend. There are only two choices in ATX and I’m so happy we chose here.
I was put into a mental crisis center here and was told my nurse Gina that she didn’t time to deal with my extreme panic attacks because of intakes she had to do. I spent almost 3 days doing an intake to be thrown in a weekend place that didn’t even have a doctor available on weekends. Worse experience nurse Gina should absolutely not be dealing with patients and if I had her full information I would absolutely be reporting her. I am now getting treated at Allen psychiatry and it has been the best most attentive experience ever!
