Horrible communication with Elizabeth in the intake department and with the manager, at least he (Sean Burns) claimed to be the manager. Other people from my school absolutely love or hate this place. I find the intake process egregious, belittling, and nothing befitting what we expect from a Christian organization. If zero stars was an option. I would have left zero stars.

Snakes in the grass. Be careful what you share with them because they'll use it against you. They were consistently late to their appointments; rescheduling all the time when they were already late. But if you dared to have something come up? They threaten you with early discharge of their services. I told them all summer that my kids were going to camp for a specific week, and not to schedule them because I would be getting the me time that they told me for months to get. After 2 days in a row of me standing up for myself? They put in a retaliation call to cps giving them all of my child's mental health records. Then when I told the team about the cps call I got- they wanted the workers information so they could "help". I didn't respond to their offer, but when the worker came up it became obvious that the call was from concern, and it even came in the second day they tried to pressure a last minute appointment and I said no. Don't trust these people for a moment

The most unprofessional service. I had been going to this office for over 10 years and recently I switched psychiatrists. I saw my new Dr in October and my follow up for 12 weeks later in January. My follow up came and I was told my new Dr was hospitalized and to continue taking my medication and to call if I need any refills. I called this week to refill one medication. They said they cannot do it because my therapist Dina kicked me out of the system because she claims I wasn’t answering her to make appointments. But I have photos to prove she hasn’t reached out. She then proceeded to send a letter to my old address that’s I obviously never got. So now I need my bipolar medicine and they are refusing to refill it without a new initial appointment but they can’t get me in faster and they can’t give me a supply of medication until the initial appointment. So I can’t even be properly weened off my medication which can cause a worsening of bipolar systems and seizures but they couldn’t care less.

Intrusive. They show up less and less and claim that I don't want the service when I never said that. Then they turn everything upside down when they are here because there is always a specific answer to the question they're asking like it's some sort of guessing game. The problem is it's court ordered and "everyone knows" it's because criminals and that's all there is to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Pennsylvania?
When comparing providers in Pennsylvania, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Pennsylvania?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Pennsylvania?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Pennsylvania providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Pennsylvania providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
