Absolute waste of time and a $375 Bill I will not pay. After a intake appointment where a nurse drew blood in a small room with clearly janitor supplies in it, clearly a janitorial room, I seen the doctor and that took almost two months longer. When I seen the doctor she was more concerned with typing than listening as she asked me what I said multiple times. Literarily seemed like she did not want to even listen. Then after explaining years of working on my problems and my current life situation causing serious anxiety, the doctor decided what I said had no importance and to refer to old old records from other places. She literally told me she does not think I'm having anxiety and spit some bull crap out. Prescribed some crazy medicine that I never got. This is a prime example of doctors pushing mental health issues. Making up what they feel instead of listening to what you tell them. It was the most pathetic doctor experience I have ever had. I literally could not believe it. The doctor was a pure wack job like you hear about.

Another uncaring corporation. They constantly switching staff, I’ve been trying to see a therapist. I’ve gotten medication at the location since Dr. Urrea’s practice was there before, never had issues with getting scheduled with a therapist when he owned it. New Directions takes over & now I had to get on a waitlist to get therapy. They were at least prescribing meds until I just got a letter, telling me they’ve tried to contact me several times, which is either a lie or they called a wrong number. I get suicidal & aggressive off my meds, I’m disabled & live alone. Now I have to rush to find another practice. In my opinion, they don’t really want patients there if on Medicaid & disability.

Their “substance abuse counselors” are enabling, wildly unprofessional people and their supervisors are just as bad. When you have employees meant to help recovering addicts encourage them to relapse on other people’s prescription medications, the integrity of the entire place is called into question. When I told an employee I would be reporting her for ethics (or lack there of), she made it clear that the people in charge are just as complicit. Incredible that this place even has THREE stars 🥴

Dr. Meredith Zebrowski is absolutely wonderful. We had struggled for a while to get our daughter help and she was able to confirm her autism diagnosis for us, so we can begin getting her the help & access to resources that she needs. She's also just been very responsive post-diagnosis and quickly responds to emails. The whole process of dealing with different providers / organizations is quite frustrating and Dr. Meredith has been an absolute God-send when it comes to the providers we've seen. Highly recommend seeing her if you feel your child may have Autism and is struggling verbally, socially, & emotionally.

I was only here for barely 1 day and reached out many times that I wanted to be discharged. They kept me against my will and then I get $22K bill from them 4 months later. Just ridiculous. I don't understand how they can charge any patient $22K for just one day being here with barely any food to eat and freezing rooms that felt like a prison instead of a place that makes the patients safe and comfortable. They literally didn't want to discharge me so they could get paid $22K!!!!!! Anyone with mental issues. Please do yourself a favor and just pay like $100 fee to speak to a psychologist virtually or through phone. This place cruelly takes advantage of the patients mental health and then charges them almost around 30k for 1 day and a half. This should be illegal.

There's is no way this place is not 5 star. I am 50 and have lived around the country and never ever received 5 star care from therapy to the case management to the out patient psych clinic. I can tell u first hand from the fiscal department all the way to the top director this place cares about one thing it's clients they do not put money or time over people. This is the only place I've gotten any results since I was 5. If your having a bad comment then u just don't know this place or didn't do your part. It's a two way street they can only offer and give u suggestions and support and stand with u through rough times and I'm alive today because childrens service center didn't give up in me. I am building healthy relationships with my children, my self esteem went from lower then dirt in the carpet to sky high. My drug dependency is at a zero I am sober . My health is at all all time high. I have never had so many people working for myself and at least o0 others I know the way this place does. If u haven't done your part or don't like something u dint have to run and leave a bad comment or stop going they are open and willing to guide u help u stand by u so please it hurts to see this isn't 5 star and I'm putting on the people leaving the reviews I've been going here a long time and do various different programs they have and my life just keeps getting better. Thank u to everyone from every secretary to the rehab to case management for all of your hard work and dedication to all of your clients equally .

A wonderful therapy experience has been overwhelmed by continual failures to maintain competent psychiatric services. Prior authorizations go unanswered, forms left incomplete for weeks, and supervisors unsympathetic to the fact their delays are delays to your well-being. Expect high turnaround and little continuity of care.

Run! If you are like many others, desperate and scrambling for mental health care amongst a broken system... Don't stop here.Either give up looking,or don't bother here. The providers are cocky and condescending, I have had engagements with several in this practice and it appears to be the culture of this institution. The office manager is decent enough but just makes excuses for their actions and has no help to offer. There is no regard for mental health, and they actually exacerbate conditions. They take a bad situation and turn it into worst then deplorable.

I came here years ago and only for a few months before deciding not to come back— the male therapist I spoke to clearly isn’t very well versed about how to speak to autistic patients or in general to female patients, especially those who are SA survivors. He attempted to question my autism I am actually diagnosed with (since childhood!) and spend a session with me nitpicking my autism traits comparing them to the traits in the DSM. When I wasn’t even seeing him for help with autism. Yet he stated suspecting I had borderline personality disorder, which nothing wrong with those who have that but I have never been diagnosed with that by anyone else nor has anyone else suggested I had it. But he couldn’t believe I have autism which I have an actual diagnosis of! Oh and he also asked if I truly believe my sexuality (as a queer woman) is legitimate or if I just believed in it because of being SA’ed by my first boyfriend (which I had told him about, but again, also not what I was even seeing him for) 🙃

Doctor Collins is a absolute tyrant. The man is constantly threatening and medically abusing his patience. He violates the hypocrictic oath but putting his pride before patients and holding them hostage on methadone until he wants to punish them with a punitive detox. In 3 years working with him, he has offered to fight me 4 times, when I had a mental health crisis he told me to "man up" and stop crying. And I had asked him for a therapeutic detox for 3 years and he only detoxed me when he wanted to punish me for making him feel like he should, small and weak. He stood in my face rubbing his hands together offering to fight me while I was in suicide mode. I have filed multiple grievances and he needs to be properly handled. Cause even after and appeal was made with cbh, he continued to break state policy and detox me 5.72 milligrams a day.. I'm trying not to let him beat me . So I'm trying to fight the right way instead of letting him do what he wanted too and ruin my life. But all that, attest to how comfortable he is doing what he does and most members aren't educated in articulating the situation. But he needs to be held accountable for the medication bully he is.. he couldn't help me therapeutically... So I can't help him hide his abuse. If you plan to come to this program, record every conversation with him. He has definitely killed people by sending them back to the streets after he felt too proud to help.

No. It's a no. One star is too many. This is probably one of the most unprofessional places I have encountered in the mental health field. If you are a person needing care, avoid this. If you are a social worker thinking this is a good place to refer to, it is not. Keep looking on behalf of your client.

I went there in September of this year 2024 for mental health services. Although some of the staff were nice.. the people behind the counter not so much.. my glasses were stolen from under my pillow the night before I was discharged, we searched the whole room I was in and still didn't find them. One of the staff, very nasty, told me it's not thier responsibility for stolen or missing property. Like yes tf you are, i came to them for help, they wright down the info of what's on your person's when you are getting admitted, they definitely wrote down that I came in with prescription glasses, and I left without them. They refused to take responsibility...... Thankfully I got a new pair after waiting 3 months.. this place traumatized me on top of it, this is not a good mental health place to go to if you want help. This place makes you worse. It's a prison for mentally ill people, not a place for help and validation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Pennsylvania?
When comparing providers in Pennsylvania, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Pennsylvania?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Pennsylvania?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Pennsylvania providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Pennsylvania providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
