I ordered the butterfly kiss roll on Doordash. The photo showed 8 pieces, but when my food arrived there were only 5. After tipping the driver those measly 5 pieces came out to 20 dollars. Not thrilled about that. I’m torn, which is why I left 4 stars instead of 3 stars because those 5 little bites were quite delicious. I just felt disappointed by the false advertising.

Decided to give It two stars because there are good people besides the staff the staff there only cares about one thing and that is a paycheck. They do not care about their clients. They do not care about helping them healthy recover. They only care about themselves. I can guarantee if you go. They will treat you a certain way they won’t treat you the same way as The rest of their coworkers they are disgusting, but the patients are great people

I think this is a very flakey operation. From the get-go they changed up my medicines from ones that have been working for decades to something that didn't work. And wouldn't replace the old ones or give me something that did work. The therapist I was assigned to was a nice guy but he left after a couple of weeks. I don't blame him this is a very flakey operation Plus they want to do everything over the phone which is crazy for mental health services. It is very difficult just to get in the front door. I wouldn't recommend this place for my dog.

We were terrified to let our 12 yr old trans son stay at a treatment center for so many reasons. But our kid needed a tremendous amount of help after he was in the hospital. We are so grateful for The Arrow House!! I think given the circumstances and where he is now, it is the best possible outcome. Our Son was there for a little over 2 months and is doing SO well now!! After The Arrow House He went to Newport Academy for 2.5 months part time outpatient and it was a great transition for him! We are currently in therapy once a week with The Help group. - they are great too. They have a therapist, psychiatrist, and parent advocate I meet with once a week. It’s been 5 months since he stayed there. Our kid was getting straight A’s there for a while! We have a family meeting every week on Sundays to discuss as how things are going and implement rules or change things. This is really helpful because we have two households. We are so grateful for the Team at The Arrow House. There’s no way we could have gotten here without them!! I feel like we have our kid back! I joined the PTA and am more involved in school, and I help with the bake sales. I’m trying to get our kid involved too - lol Of course there have been hard days- but it’s so much better than before!! 😍😍🥹

In the past 35 days of sobriety, I have had time to reflect positively on my time at La Jolla Recovery. The experience was exceptional, start to finish. Although my stay there was brief comparatively, it made an affirming and long-lasting impression on me in so many ways. My admission advisor, Justene, made the accommodations so quickly and painless. She went the extra mile providing good information, clearing my small dog and best buddy to stay by my side throughout the sojourn. Caring, compassionate, angelic Izzy greeted us with reassurance; remaining a brilliant light giving wholehearted encouragement. My entire care team - starring Francisco, RN Ms. Mary and RN Alex - always kept me in good health and spirits. I learned wise things from Amy, Andrea, Matt, Shane and Val. Blake takes his role as house manager quite seriously. Residents were well cared for, and the rapport with all staff was evident. I absolutely cannot forget the Chef. In addition to keeping everyone fully fed, he went way above in painstakingly making amazing vegetarian meals especially for me. My game has changed; I have leveled up appropriately. For the first time in years I am confident in stride knowing I have the power over alcohol. I may come across highs, lows, in-betweens – that is a given. But, the impactful impression by La Jolla Recovery will remain constant for a lifetime. Sincerest thanks to all at LJR, Jason

I was broken and now I'm fixed and able stand on my own, even after my Sir. DARIOUS passed away. If not for Jenny I would have been dead 5 yes ago. And again in May. The Hesperia office does things way beyond any of their duties and truly cares for there clients. One sad thing is they don't have access to the same resources as other office. I also believe that all offices should have an receptionist/operator as well as a criss line. In San Bernardino office was mass confusion, counclers where dealing with people running past buzzard door lock, as well as others crisis, and phone ringing with patient waiting to go back to her office. A receptionist would have all that handled and office run smoother, organized, which educated counclers could do there jobs, and be of true help. Hesperia office has less people, cause less resources. By giving equal, the people in this area would go there. Thank you for listening. This is Brian Smith signing out.

I was led to believe they are located in Fresno, not Pasadena. I was prescribed a control substance, not realizing that it would be an issue because they aren't in Fresno. They are not at that address downtown. Their name is not on the door. I asked the tenant in Suite 20 and they said Neuro Wellness Spa moved. That doesn't make it a fact, but that person has been in that office for at least four years. I wouldn't have gone with this provider if I knew they weren't in Fresno. I definitely would have never agreed to be prescribed this medication if I knew it might not be filled. That was a waste of a copay. Then they want me to pay to see the NP again to get a different Rx. It isn't my fault he prescribed something inaccessible. I didn't know it is legally my responsibility to get an Rx filled. I have never had this issue before. It was off putting being forced to find a pharmacist. I was not comfortable with this because I was afraid I would look like a drug seeker. How could I not if it is my responsibility to call multiple pharmacies seeking a controlled substance (DF Medical Board of CA). I was irate that they would do this to someone who has mental/emotional health issues. They gave me three options: pay another copay to go to a NP I can no longer trust, be discharged and seek services elsewhere, or keep calling around for a pharmacist (and take a chance of being flagged). Doesn't seem like good options to me. I asked for someone in charge/ higher than the woman I spoke to to call me back. No one ever followed up with me (probably because I raised my voice at her). Last week, I got a notice that I have an appointment, but I never made an appointment and apparently they still haven't discharged me. This was one of THE most upsetting healthcare experiences that I can recall in a long time. I was devastated at the time. Lesson learned, always make sure you are seeing a doctor in your county. Too much telehealth weirdness going on in general within Aetna's network. Not saying Neuro Wellness Spa is shady, but they were not forthcoming and it just isn't right.

The ER doctor and staff, impeccable. And after being admitted, the following morning, another impeccable and wonderful set of doctors and staff took the best care of me. Their food was also very delicious and flavorful. I thank everyone that took care of me. The only reason I did not give a five star review is because the nurse that took over my care during the evening time was extremely hostile and rude, otherwise as mentioned; everyone else was beyond kind and considerate!

So grateful for this program. They were able to admit my son immediately for drug rehab (as opposed to a 5-6 month waiting list in the state we live in). The communication with Evolve was outstanding, and they start to help you prepare for life after discharge almost immediately. When I asked my son if he's glad he went, his answer was, "Absolutely. It changed my life." I'm happy to report that he remains clean and sober 9 months later (this was not a "forced" rehab... He was ready to receive the help).

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in California?
When comparing providers in California, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in California?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in California?
Yes. Mental Health US includes California providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all California providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
