Weird vibe from this place. I had to go there for training and was seriously spooked by it.
Great resource for youth. If recommend if you're a teen go there.
Maybe more Alaskan natives would come here for help if your administrative staff wasn’t so rude, how come everytime I come here to check-in they look at me like I have three heads, is it so hard to politely say “I’m sorry, im unable to help you but they can check you in” simple, right? instead of glaring at me or snickering In the back, so immature and unprofessional and these people seem a lot older than me
The staff are respectful and kind with an awareness of clients needs. However, it can take a long time to establish services here if you are not a Native Alaskan or American Indian.

Thank you for taking in my daughter in your facility, she has made some friends & got top notch care. Your staff is caring & so nice to my teen. Thank you so much for all the help an tools to help my family when I couldn’t. If anything I just want to say thank you & pray that the staff has a safe an wonderful year.

I'm at DSP myself and probably have been for 8 years. I teach pride, honor and dignity. But yet, how come your employee parks in this spot, every single day. If you clearly look at the picture, it's not legal.( gray little car.) Please tell me how is this being a role model? This is in response to your lame, excuse for the door not being open to the public.First off, if it was a cop.It doesn't matter. You get a ticket!!! but thank you for fixing the problem, this problem has been going on for way too long. And I have said things too many of your employees. They just choose not to listen so that leaves no other option. But to put them on blast for their bad behavior but hopefully they can start having honor in their work moving forward.

Great place for disabled people to hang out and enjoy themselves! I have only been going there since march of 2019 but it seems like only yesterday that I started going there!
This guy is prescribing drugs that have fatal side effects. But don't worry, he doesn't prescribe effective and safe medications! Just the ones the FDA has had to step in and reduce the allowable conditions it can be prescribed for.
They help with any medical reasons. Large or a the tiniest problem. They take care of you 25 hrs a day 8 days a week. Appreciate all they do. Wish I could help them in a return favor. They are the silenced soldiers. Much respect and honor to all. Love you all
I hate leaving bad reviews but this experience was by far ridiculous. After a grueling assessment we were forgotten about for months, then denied, then billed for not being on insurance. After the VOA campus counselor pestered my child for months. Do yourselves a favor and DONT.
Tori has done a great job at building trust with my daughter and I. It has created a safe pace for my child to work through her concerns about a family cancer diagnosis and other transitions. The front desk is also very kind and they always give a reminder phone call. Thank you.
Place Sucks! Random UA testing to them means: the patient submits 4 testing whenever they themselves feel like asking for a UA cup at the reception desk. Recovery anyone?
I had great conversation with Jessica today at the best of Alaska trade show. You can tell she really cares about her work and the clients they help. Thanks for the great conversation!

Dr. Carpenter is an exceptional therapist who truly listens and understands my needs. From our first session, I felt comfortable and supported. His approach is both compassionate and practical, offering valuable tools and insights that have helped me make real progress. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled, empathetic professional to guide them through life's challenges.
I transferred from the stellar juneau clinic after some awful life changes and the move was quick as my husband and I were switching jobs, I have been a phase 27 for almost 4 years when I transferred. Juneau did not send my complete records but they did send enough that this clinic had knowledge I was a model patient and had my 27 for quite some time. I have been a methadone patient for 11 years and MAT saved my life. When I entered treatment I was serious about being sober. It took so much work to get to that phase and I am very proud to say that I have ALWAYS been told at every clinic I have been to that I am one of their best patients and they wish all their patients were as dedicated to recovery as I am. The day I came in for intake I met with a lady that was supposed to be my counselor and she was nice enough but when she took my history she got it all wrong and even put down that I was suicidal!!! I was the farthest thing from it. There was a question about if you have ever been suicidal and I said yes when I was using drugs I was suicidal! Many of us are or reach that point when we are at our worst but that was almost a decade ago! I was immediately told I would not be getting my 27 bottles any longer and was given no real reason until weeks later when I continued to question why or how I could remedy that situation because I was working and having to go into work late every other week was becoming an issue and aside from that I had done nothing wrong but I kept getting told that once ALL my records came then maybe I could get them back. I did all I could I to help obtain my missing records but they did have enough records that showed I was a phase 27 and that ALL my drug screens were ALWAYS clean. When I finally was able to sit down and talk to a lady with longer blonde hair because I wanted to understand exactly what they wanted for me to get back on track she told me that my sudden decision to move from Juneau to anchorage and take another job while I had three children shows instability!! I was floored, I had two special needs children and Juneau had very little medical care and while the move and job change was quick because the company needed us to start quickly the fact that they said that showed instability. I felt incredibly judged and explained very respectfully that I was sorry they felt that way but I still didn’t feel that was a legitimate reason to treat me the way that they were treating me. The doctor I saw was a lady and she was extremely cold, with zero bedside manner and who knows maybe she was burnt out by all the people who abuse the MAT system but regardless I feel like each patient should be treated as a individual and that their track record in treatment should reflect on them. Every clinic I have been to before that one has showed me compassion support and treated me as my own person and I had some level of trust with them because of my track record. This place truly gave me ptsd, I tried so hard to jump through every single hoop they wanted and even when I did that I was still treated like crap. I began to become a nervous wreck and truly for the very first time since I was in treatment for all these years I felt the least stable at this clinic, I honestly have not have cravings in YEARS but while at this clinic they made it so difficult that there were several times I broke down in tears and thought to myself it would be easier just to go and get drugs then to keep trying with this place. The final straw was being called and told that I had a diluted drug screen which I had no clue what that even was but they said I had to come for a bottle check and new drug screen which I did but they were going to take me down from two weeks to one week or maybe even dose me daily. I came in passed the bottle check and my drug screen and told them I was transferring and they let me keep my two weeks to transfer with but when I told the lady I truly had done nothing to my “diluted” drug screen she treated me as if I most certainly had tried to cheat it.. don’t go here!!!
Friend of mine stayed here more than a decade ago and she said they kept her here involuntary for title 47. They threatened to keep her there if they didn't take their "antidepressants". She became near catatonic and having her personality nearly destroyed. She has no memory after taking whatever they gave her. She was interned in November and she came to in February after her family carefully weened her of those "antidepressants". Her family says she was creepy like an actual mental asylum patient. When she came to she thought she was in a dream, because she was home. She tried to wake herself up, and her family woke up knew she was finally back to how she was before being drugged to near catatonic.
