The Power Center at Alaska Behavioral Health, located at 2601 Arctic Boulevard in Anchorage, Alaska, serves as a safe and welcoming space for adolescents and young adults ages 13 to 23. Designed to be run by teens for teens—with supportive adult staff when needed—the Power Center provides an inclusive environment where youth can relax, connect with peers, and access essential services without judgment or pressure. From basic needs like clothing, food, and hygiene items to interactive activities like Xbox gaming, art projects, and cooking groups, the drop-in center fosters a sense of community and empowerment. Open five days a week, the center also hosts structured group sessions covering topics such as healthy relationships, self-esteem, and sleep hygiene.
