Located in the heart of Anchorage, Alaska, the AK Child & Family Maley Center serves as the central hub for a network of therapeutic and community-based services designed to support youth and families navigating serious emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. As the administrative home to the organization’s Therapeutic Treatment Home Services (TTHS), Home-Based Treatment, and C.A.R.E.S. programs, the Maley Center plays a pivotal role in coordinating intensive care, trauma-informed interventions, and family-centered wraparound support for individuals ages 3 to 21. With dedicated therapy spaces, sensory and activity rooms, and access to community engagement opportunities, the center is purposefully built to foster safety, connection, and growth.
AK Child & Family's continuum of care emphasizes maintaining youth in home and community settings whenever possible. Their Therapeutic Treatment Home Services provide a clinically intensive yet nurturing alternative to residential care by placing youth with specially trained treatment parents who collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans. The Home-Based Treatment and C.A.R.E.S. programs extend this work through family preservation, prevention, and empowerment efforts that build on natural supports and community resources. This dynamic and holistic model supports long-term healing, addresses root causes of trauma, and helps youth successfully transition to greater independence or reunification with family. The Maley Center stands as a critical anchor for behavioral health intervention in Alaska, supporting the state’s most vulnerable youth with compassion, structure, and cultural responsiveness.

I was all alone and homeless. I was living in my car with my cat, Lacey until my car was stolen from me. I ended up in a tent for 4 months until the snow covered my tent. I went to the Web with my heart in my hands. These folks took a lot of time with me. Treated me so nice. They didnt even judge me. They helped me with the deposit on a place to live and even sent me the paperwork for $1500 for furniture and stuff to set me up. I will always be grateful to them. Brenda Martin
Was easy to use just a little confusing when switching between individuals. Letting the patient know you’ll be getting off the video chat was really the only issue. Letting the patient know to wait for the next provider to join. Other then that it was really easy to use.
I've been seeing Sara Kozup for some time. She is one of the most caring and patient providers I have seen. Sara's office is very professional and understanding. Highly recommend
Great program! They have a fantastic mission to support and empower youth while providing local food to increase food security in Alaska. This program is Changing people's lives and the future of Alaska. Seeds of Change has phenomenal produce that exceeds flavor, quality, and shelf life. I would 10/10 recommend to anyone who lives in Alaska and loves to eat food!
it changed me for the better and i was only there for 3 months although since i left it felt like my progress has slipped out of my hands now that i’m home, whatever you do don’t run away it’s not worth it.
