UNM Adult Psychiatric Center, located at 2600 Marble Avenue in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, is the state’s largest community provider of behavioral health care, delivering a full spectrum of mental health services to individuals and families across the region. This comprehensive psychiatric facility offers both inpatient and outpatient care, including specialized services for adults, seniors, and children. With 48 inpatient beds and innovative outpatient programs, the center ensures patients receive personalized and evidence-based treatment tailored to their needs.
The facility is also home to Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES), New Mexico’s only 24/7 psychiatric emergency room, where individuals in crisis can walk in at any time to receive immediate evaluation, medication therapy, and acute stabilization. The Psychiatric Urgent Care Clinic (PUCC) provides rapid access to care for patients experiencing moderate psychiatric concerns such as depression, anxiety, or medication management needs. In addition, the center leverages telehealth technology to expand access to high-quality behavioral health care in schools, correctional facilities, and communities throughout New Mexico.
