I tried to get my daughter into counseling she has been through traumatic events in her life. And these people said she didn't need counseling we didn't even get a chance to do intake. My daughter got sick ( I have a doctor's note) and they started discharging her papers. This place is a mess. They are obviously aren't in it to help people.

During my intake, I believed it hard to answer certain questions because they were upsetting. When I told my counselor this she proceeded to ask me how they were hard to answer and basically asked if I just didnt want to do the intake. I was made to feel as if I wasnt believed by her even when I went through very traumatic childhood events. As someone who has struggled to get mental help and also struggles to be around people, this has made me cautious to get further mental help. I was here once and I dont believe I will come back, please dont allow your children to go here!

I had a poor experience here. Seems like they care more about giving their resources to their family members instead of people who actually need it. They are extremely unprofessional and off putting.

I was admitted into the behavioral health department in the Fall for 1 week. I was cared for by many professionals- all so kind, helpful and caring. I had 3 wonderful meals a day, a psychiatrist, caring nurses and classes to help with coping mechanisms taught by staff. I can’t say enough about this place! That week changed my attitude and helped me get back to life! Many thanks to the team!

While it's not all bad, and it's been a couple of months since I've been there, I won't lie and say it's great. Some of the staff I truly love and are very nice. But there's one staff member that should not be allowed to work there. I'm looking at you Marcus. They made one of my friends have a panic attack and leave, and when they promised me they wouldn't bring up stuff we talked about at my family session, they did. And they seemed to not care even though I was crying and hyperventilating. That night I tried to O'D and ended back up in the psych ward worse than before, after spending 3 days in the hospital rehab.

Unfortunately, the clinic has proven unreliable, with frequent cancellations that disrupt consistency. Within just six weeks, two weeks of sessions were canceled, which has directly affected my child’s progress. More cancellations are expected. When I asked for continuity, something that should be a reasonable expectation they responded that they cannot guarantee sessions and even suggested we might not be a good fit. This felt dismissive and showed little regard for the challenges families face when seeking stable support for their children. While the clinic may work for some, my experience has been one of inconsistency and lack of accountability. For families who need reliable care, I feel this is not the one to consider.

I had an excellent experience during my substance use assessment by Leah. After being pretty down on self after my infraction, my mindset changed after this assessment, giving me hope for the future of both myself and my family. The victims impact panel class I attended was pretty grim, as you might expect. If you need a wake up call, this is sure to help. I am looking forward to attending the alcohol and drug information school course and eventually putting my wrong behind me. Whatever your past, keep your head up and keep doing the right thing. This is a great place to help get your life back on track. Heads up – if you miss the ADIS class, you’ll have to pay again.

Beware: This clinic would rather you miss your medical appointments than fix a new confirmation policy they know is a problem. Imagine you have taken the afternoon off work and drive nearly an hour to see your Doctor. The clinic reached out to you a month earlier to schedule this appointment as they won’t renew your prescriptions you rely on without seeing you. You get to the appointment only to find out it has been canceled without so much as an email notice. You are told by the front desk that they have a new confirmation policy that if you do not confirm your appointment within 48 hours before it starts, they will just cancel the appointment without notice. You are confused because you never got a call from them and nobody told you about this new policy when they scheduled this appointment. You learn that: 1. The appointment confirmation call comes from an auto-dialer 2. That auto-dialer number is usually marked as spam 3. The auto-dialer does not leave a message 4. They do send confirmation texts but apparently won’t ask you about if they can text you when THEY call to schedule YOU (or at least they didn’t ask me) I was stunned at how badly implemented this policy is for something as important as medical appointments that you usually need to schedule a month in advance. Auto-dialers are very capable of leaving voicemails and who in this day and age answers a call or respond to a call marked as spam when the caller won’t leave a voicemail? Who doesn’t warn a patient that if they don’t answer every spam call the week before their appointment they will have their appointment canceled? The staff did seem to feel very badly about this so I was put on standby when it was clear I was not leaving without seeing my doctor and within 30 minutes two other people came in and had the exact same problem as me. Didn’t know about the confirmation policy and had their appointment cancelled. This is clearly an issue and it is negligent that they are not fixing it. Thank god I stubbornly refused to leave because after a two and a half hour wait my Doctor was able to see me and it turned out I had a serious infection that I didn’t even know about that required antibiotics asap. I was almost denied critical care and my prescription medication because of this terrible policy. Please fix your auto-dialer or adjust this policy. People do not deserve to suffer because you’re too cheap to have your auto-dialer come with a voicemail.

Don't expect anyone to actually show up for your appointments with any kind of consistency... They cancel as often as they show up, and often don't even bother to notify you when a "crisis" comes up with another patient which causes them to miss the appointment with you. That's the therapy side.

LCS staff is probably the most caring and compassionate that I have ever dealt with. They have offered up a lot of resources, they have worked to accommodate my schedule, which often means they are working well past 5pm, and they are patient, empathetic, and understanding. They have been a huge help to me and my daughter and I would highly recommend them and their wide array of services!

Stay away. THEY SCAM TO BILL YOUR INSURANCE. These guys just wasted 2 weeks of my life. At your first visit and during your evaluation they tell you everything is gonna be fine and they they start springing surprises on you at your second visit. Like changing from your Suboxone provider to theres. "Oh, I thought we covered that at the first visit. We need you to use our provider so we can monitor your dosage". And then thn they start springing new things on you when you go to there provider. "Well in order to complete our chemical dependency program you need to taper off and stop taking the Suboxone." Just such a colossal SCAM TO BILL MY INSURANCE. How can I not feel that way when you lied every time we talked.

The staff at the Eugenia Center care about making a difference in peoples' lives. They are committed to helping folks have a new beginning. I have seen many counselors and other staff go above and beyond to support those who are willing to do the hard work of recovery. Nobody ever answers the phones. First appointment was supposed to be a week ago. Got a call saying they needed to cancel and that the therapist would call to reschedule as soon as possible. Still haven't heard a word. I try calling and get nothing but voicemail recordings. The first time you go it's a 2 hour appointment with someone who wont be your therapist. Then you get scheduled with a therapist assigned to you and have to repeat everything you said at the 2 hour intake appointment. So far I'm very unimpressed and am looking in to another place to take my teen. Don't bother with this place if you actually need therapy because it seems as though you will just get pushed to the back burner.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Washington?
When comparing providers in Washington, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Washington?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Washington?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Washington providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Washington providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
