Our son has been in the program for 3 months. We like that it is a small program which allows Triumph to provide very individual attention. We also like that they have a dog program, but otherwise provide a simple no frills program. Many of the other boarding schools that we looked at seemed more like a fancy summer camp. There is very little staff turnover which provides a lot of consistency. We attended a parent conference after 6 weeks and met many of the other parents and students. It was a really productive conference. Triumph's environment and curriculum encourage our son to work his program. So far it seems to be effective.

I don't appreciate being laughed at by employees. I don't appreciate not being welcomed to a scheduled appointment. I don't appreciate being asked to leave. I don't appreciate being bullied and mistreated! It's not cool. Acceptance is being tolerant patient kind and courteous. Rejecting is laughing at someone, not welcoming someone in, and having some leave, who has asked for help and time for their appointment. The Son of Man is bullied by many. Hypocrites and evil doers attempt to falsely justify their actions. Bullies try to blame the innocent for their own shortcomings. The unprofessional one never takes responsibility for their own actions, apologizes, or is quick to forgive and make amends. The immature seem plentiful and I don't consent to their actions. I'd like to be treated fairly. The kingdom of heaven has come near to you. When you don't welcome me you, don't welcome what's right, or Who is right. One star review well deserved, I don't recommend anyone go to such a place I am reviewing. I recommend repentance and following me. I recommend doing and being of what's right at all times. I rebuke those who have been mean to me. Repent, repent, then follow.

Before my experience, I didn’t like the idea of therapy. I had never gone and was pretty skeptical. After a car accident years back, I realized I needed help working through the trauma, and that’s when I started seeing Ryan Nielsen. Ryan is an amazing therapist. Through our sessions, his professionalism, insight, and genuinely friendly approach helped me grow and heal in ways I didn’t expect. What started as working through trauma turned into deeper conversations about life, and I’ve come to believe that therapy isn’t just helpful, it’s something more people truly need, especially in today’s increasingly isolated world. If you’ve ever thought about therapy or getting help, I highly recommend giving it a try. I was skeptical at first, but I’m really glad I did, especially with Ryan. You’ll be glad you did too. Healing can start here, and this might be the step that gets you there.

So far our experience have been very positive. We were very impressed with the check in process and how smooth that went. We got all our questions answered before we left and were able to say goodbye feeling like our son was going to be in good hands. We got to talk to him that night which helped ease our anxiety a lot.

A family member of mine was admitted here recently. She was there for a couple days and admitted to the emergency room after an incident. My family only learned she was taken to the emergency room because the emergency room contacted us, not Turning Point that was overseeing her care and drove her there. She was at the hospital for a week and we received no communication from Turning Point until they called us to ask what we wanted them to do with her belongings, as she was not being admitted back into their facility. Mind you, the conversation was led with the question of where we wanted her belongings sent, not a formal notification that she wasn’t being admitted back with an explanation why. I am disappointed and, quite frankly, appalled, that a facility would have such poor communication with families that are in an extremely vulnerable state of having a loved one admitted to a facility, and our situation was even more fragile because we, including the family member, were coming from out of state. I do not recommend this facility to anyone based on their unacceptable lack of communication with patients and their families.

BRO! I actually hated the stupid day treatment here, because like we’re supposed to be going through some kind of like “self care” sort of thing when ALL we do is sit there and do absolutely nothing for 8 hours which in turn doesn’t actually help my mental health whatsoever… y’all should make it less boring and treat the people in day treatment with respect and like at least some sort of fun because mental health does not consist of sitting in a room in the back away from everyone else for 8 hours.

I worked with Austin for a few weeks and he was very patient and compassionate. He definitely did the best with the time he had and also provided resources in the area that I was moving. Laurie the receptionist is also kind and helpful. Given the fact that it is a free resource, I was grateful and appreciative of the help I received. Austin genuinely cares and offers practical solutions. I wish I had had more time but I got a job out of state and had to move.

Their billing is the least flexible/compassionate for a MENTAL HEALTH office dealing with people who are struggling. Also their therapists will dishcharge you without warning if you’re too difficult. They will be extremely inconsistent in following policies. Not a warm environment.

I have called CAPSA multiple times. When I speak to someone they are absolutely no help in getting me out of an abusive situation. They play it down and shew me off to another agency to “help”. One lady even told me they don’t offer emergency services. Very irritating experience

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Utah?
When comparing providers in Utah, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Utah?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Utah?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Utah providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Utah providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
