I went in for my second appointment today and left frustrated. My first visit cost $199 with insurance, while the second was $167. The front desk staff could not explain the difference, which raised concerns about billing clarity. During the visit, I spent time with a medical student, and the interaction did not feel productive. When I met with the doctor, the visit did not add value or address my concerns in a meaningful way. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, and I did not feel my time or money were well spent. Clear communication on pricing and more focused care would improve the experience. My inpatient care facility carried 5X to have my medical records sent and never had anyone answer. Several red flags. If you do more research there are several better facilities who are patient first.

Having been associated with Darci for several years, I can vouch for her professionalism and natural empathy. Her ability to listen, relate, see the heart of the matter, and put others to ease is apparent within moments in a conversation with her. Darci is supportive and totally dedicated to the success of her clients. In addition, I have been very impressed with her tenacity and willingness to endure, preserver and even sacrifice to do the right thing, give others the support they need, and insure the best of those who rely on her and her team. The world is a better place because she is in it and I would highly recommend her and her practice to anyone seeking quality, qualified and deeply invested support.

I called to get information about the services here and I had a lot of questions. The receptionist was super condescending, rude, short, and made me feel like I was burdening her by calling. I show up another day to drop off my id and insurance info so I could get an estimate for how much it would be. Not only did that take way longer than it needed to, they told me I would hear back within a couple of days. I never did. I even tried calling to follow up and nothing. This place is great if you don’t need to get help immediately or at all!

I’ve been going here since the beginning. It’s such a great environment! Every therapist there is unique and friendly. The reception staff is so caring as well! You can tell it’s not just a transaction.. they truly care!! The owner Jason is one of the most kind and helpful people I’ve ever met in my entire life! He brings a new definition to the word owner💯 he is hilarious too😂 This place has saved my life many times! The PHP/IOP program is different from others I went to. They actually dive in and help you process things. They offer more than other places too. Like acupuncture, how cool is that to offer?! I’m so grateful for them!! Thank you guys❤️

My experience here at the Murray location was a blessing. This was my first time going to detox and I was already scared and anxious. The most of the staff are amazing women that care and show compassion. Yuki was amazing and supportive and Jen the case worker is awesome as well All the staff there care but I feel like they have to be firm and assertive with certain people because they deal with alot of Bs . The facility was clean they had 3 meals a day . I walked in there with only the clothes on my back and left with a suitcase. I give them 5 stars

This place is horrible we spoke with Gabriel he is very very rude NOT professional at all. I think his title of being a "councilor" makes him feel like he's superior. He was defiantly not there to help, we requested an evaluation that we paid for and he was making it impossible to get what we paid for and questioning why I (the wife was calling) very immature plus his English sucks. Not recommended

This is my second time attending cdl3. They do not keep true to what they say. They did it to me this time and last time. They gave me my recommendation at the end of the assessment. Now that I'm halfway done with the class that they told me I would have to complete, they sprung something new on me saying that, "I owe them more groups". Again, they did this to me last year. If you want surprise classes sprung on you go ahead and go to CDL 3. Nothing but a lies that will cause you more stress and headaches then you need. This review does not however reflect on the therapist that was assigned to me Priyanka

I went to this center a year ago. I appreciate that this center has helped so many people, it helped me but not in the right ways. I feel that my eating disorder finally stopped due to fear of going back here. I met many great girls but struggled with the staff. Inconsistent rules made every day difficult and I was always scared of losing the small freedoms I had. I was in in-patient due to pre existing medial conditions. My NP tried to "solve" my issues and told my mom she was consulting with my specialist when she wasn't. They didn't know anything about my medical conditions and kept me in inpatient for weeks and told me every day they were gonna switch me. Inpatient was depressing, boring, and they had me on fall risk over a medical condition I had for years. I finally found myself enjoying coloring, and they took away markers that my mom bought me. I was not on self harm watch or risk at all. I ended up leaving against medical advisement because they wouldn't switch me to residential and i was absolutely miserable. I sat around on a couch crying begging to go home every single day. The owner reached out to my mom and told her that she shouldn't "allow" me to come home and that if it were her kid she would force her to stay. I was 18 at the time and leaving to go to college. This center is amazing for individuals with anorexia who need serious help. If you have a pre-existing medical condition please do NOT come here.

I was admitted here twice in 2023 when I was 17 years old and three years later I and am doing a lot better however there are some issues that need to be addressed and hopefully since I’ve left have been corrected. First of all a couple of staff at this hospital would make fun of the patients for behaviors they were not given skills to control. A couple of staff were horrible and there were a couple incidents with staff that happened during both of the times I was there. One of the staff members also told the patients during the time I was here that medication was not the answer and that all we needed to do was take deep breaths and drink water which was very inappropriate to say especially when people are in crisis. Another issue I had was there was very little therapy and our promised therapy consisted of someone playing a TED talk instead of actually teaching us skills to cope and heal from trauma although we did have a couple therapists and when the therapists were available they did teach skills which I found super helpful. Also another issue I had was that I only met with the doctor 2 times each time and it was only for a few minutes each time and so I felt like I could not talk about my personal issues and we were not allowed to talk about our personal issues unless it was with a therapist or doctor which was understandable. My therapist was super helpful, but the doctor was not unfortunately. The doctor did not put me on the correct medication both times I was there and the doctor just told me that we’ll figure it out soon and they just kept me on the meds and did not make changes which led me to seeking treatment at another facility after I left. The final issue I had with aspen grove was that I was not discharged on the day that they promised to discharge me the first time I was there because they don’t do discharges on the weekends and the 2nd time I was discharged a day early because they did not want to keep me for long the 2nd time which was understandable. It was a bummer being discharged both times because the patients were all good people. The reason I’m not giving this a lower score is because the music therapist was awesome and the exercise instructor was awesome and the therapists that taught groups were awesome. My therapist was also awesome. I hope they’re all doing well. The majority of the staff members and nurses were awesome especially carol, Mabel, and Ryan and one other staff member that I can’t remember his name and all the patients here were awesome and they kept me sane the whole time I was there both times. I hope that them and the patients I was in treatment with are all doing well. It was both a bad and good experience being at this hospital and today I am at a job that I’m stable at and I am able to take care of myself a lot better than I used to thanks to more help I got as well. For anyone who is sturggling right now please know that there is help and that things will get better.

I took my son to see Landon for therapy for 6-8 months and he was amazing! My son really bonded with him well and enjoyed going to see him. He has taught him a lot of breathing exercises that helped a ton! He would always leave therapy in such a great mood. The office ladies are always so kind and willing to answer all of my questions. If you are looking for someone who is caring and personable, we highly recommend Landon, we can't thank him enough.

Our son has been in the program for 3 months. We like that it is a small program which allows Triumph to provide very individual attention. We also like that they have a dog program, but otherwise provide a simple no frills program. Many of the other boarding schools that we looked at seemed more like a fancy summer camp. There is very little staff turnover which provides a lot of consistency. We attended a parent conference after 6 weeks and met many of the other parents and students. It was a really productive conference. Triumph's environment and curriculum encourage our son to work his program. So far it seems to be effective.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Utah?
When comparing providers in Utah, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Utah?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Utah?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Utah providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Utah providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
