I had the worst experience possible dealing with you and lower bucks last night this isn't the first time either. I had my son brought there because he was a danger to us and himself but because he's mentally disabled and not on drugs Noone seemed to give a crap. I voiced concerns prior at his med check when I was given no advice nodda. Then last night after putting him aside for 6 hours we finally get a crisis person. Who continues to ask him questions and interrupt me answering as he's not competent to answer the questions. Then asks my son does he want to hurt himself of course he said no he has no idea what you mean . Then basically talks to me like I'm lieing my son shirt was covered in blood and was cut from a mirror he broke In anger 🤦‍♀️ Unfortunately the past year or so has been hell with him trying to hurt us and attempting to kill himself where he doesn't know what he's doing would be permanent. I wanted him somewhere safe to be able to get a different mediction because my kids are terrified after seeing what he does when he goes off. All I get told was he's not acting crazy he was on melatonin so he was sleepy and we cant help you . I guess when he hurts one of us or himself maybe ull give a crap ....

This is literally the most disrespectful place! Doctors are amazing but the nursing staff and 100% receptionist are so rude! These young girls sitting behind a desk acting as if they are better than everyone. I switched my daughter to another doctor and my husband and I are as well. Had them for 7 years and it did not use to be like this. This new group that's been on and out over the last 2-3 years idk where your finding them at but your loosing businesses! I know quite a few families that have already left this office and planning to leave. IV spoken to the office manager a few times over the last few years but nothing changes !

I love this office, and love Deana. However, the fact that you can call 10 times a day and leave 10 voicemails and still get no call back from Jamie is insane. I’ve had 2 pharmacy’s agree with me that they are the hardest place in this entire town to get ahold of. I’ve gone multiple times late on my medication and experiencing withdrawal due to the fact that my pharmacy and myself both needed to speak with the office and nobody will answer the phone or call back for days. Someone should contact Justin Beal to tell him, I just don’t want to be the person that calls in and complains because then she’s definitely never going to answer my calls. Sad it reflects badly on the business because one single person won’t answer the phone! Came to check the reviews to see if I’m the only one and was shocked to see at least 5 other reviews saying the same thing. GET A NEW FRONT OFFICE PERSON. People already struggle to build the courage to get the help they need and having a person whose representing the front of the business who doesn’t even care enough to answer the phone is going to be a major set back for anyone struggling.

If only I could give 0 stars. I mean where do I start? Maybe that I’m not a patient, but I have attempted for about a week now to schedule an appointment with them. They very obviously only work for their paycheck and not to help others. Terrible customer service. Terrible phone service. Honestly hope they aren’t taking a lot of people’s money, as they don’t care about the people that give them the money.

My fiancé first attended DreamLife Recovery last summer without insurance coverage. A family member paid $20,000 out-of-pocket for his treatment. Following his discharge, we were surprised to receive an additional bill for $3,000. As this was his first experience with rehabilitation services, we were not fully informed of how charges would be structured, and we reasonably believed that the initial payment would cover the full cost of care. After maintaining sobriety for approximately six months, my fiancé unfortunately relapsed and returned to DreamLife Recovery a few weeks ago, this time for detox services only. This decision was made specifically due to insurance limitations, which would not cover a full 30-day inpatient program. While his initial experience at the facility appeared positive, (probably because they received 20k upfront from us) we later became aware of concerning patterns in patient reviews, which raised additional questions about consistency in care and practices. Approximately one week into his stay, I was contacted by a staff member requesting a family meeting. During this call, I was informed that my fiancé had expressed interest in remaining in treatment beyond detox. This statement was inconsistent with prior discussions and agreements, as we had clearly established that he would only participate in detox due to financial and insurance constraints. This interaction raised serious concerns regarding potential pressure placed on patients and their families to extend treatment beyond what is medically necessary or financially feasible. It is concerning when communication does not align with previously established plans and understandings. Shortly after that phone call I went and received the mail and had gotten a written notification from the insurance provider indicating that detox coverage would only be approved through that same day. At no point did DreamLife Recovery communicate this critical information to our family or attempt to discuss next steps, financial responsibility, or discharge planning. Additionally, my fiancé’s mother made multiple attempts to contact the facility to check on his health and safety and to discuss the status of his insurance coverage. She had left several voicemails. This was particularly urgent given that he had been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes during a previous stay at the facility. Despite leaving multiple voicemails, she did not receive a response for six days. Even after a follow-up call, there was still no return communication. The lack of responsiveness, transparency in billing, and clarity in communication is deeply concerning. Especially in a healthcare setting where patient safety and family involvement are critical. We believe these concerns warrant further review to ensure that patients and families are treated with honesty, transparency, and respect during vulnerable circumstances. Our experience raises significant concerns regarding billing practices, communication, and overall transparency of care at DreamLife Recovery.

We utilize cornerstone psychiatry for my son. We have been this this office for a few years and the only reason we stay is because we absolutely love Dr. Morton. If it weren't for her we would have found a new office a long time ago.

The therapists are amazing!!! However the front desk and the doctors don't communicate at all, so the doctor will call you and then somebody supposed to call you to make the next appointment but they don't and they just automatically make an appointment for you which you don't know about until the day before.

I love my doctor she’s amazing. They do not call back if you’ve left a voicemail. I have left around 50 voicemails over the last 5 months and not once have I received a call back. I have left countless messages with my name and number and no one has ever called me back. I love my doctor but they suck at communication

I went to visit my son on Sunday and if it wasn't for their help and generosity I would of never made it. It was the most Breathtaking scenery I have ever experience. The staff was amazing they went out of their way to make my son feel like he was still worthy of being a good person and not a criminal.

I wish my experience with your new start up over the last 9 months was one I could speak about in a positive light. In less than a year I was passed off by my initial therapist who left the practice, and by my first prescriber who I was also told had left the practice. Not only did one of the providers not notify me, but neither did Mind Dojo. I also find it a little irresponsible to have your head therapist Kara be in charge of programs or any kind of therapy with how dismissive she can be to patients. After missing 2 classes out of an 8 week class I voluntarily signed up for, and was being billed through my insurance, Kara made sure to wait until the day before the next class to leave me a voicemail dismissing me from the program. I guess there wasn’t enough time for me to “catch up” even if I attended the remainder of the classes. OK. Fast forward 3-4 weeks and Mind Dojo contacts me to tell me my class is cancelled for the night. The class I was already dismissed from. WOW. That’s the only word I can even come up with at this point. I thought I found something good when I was looking for a new behavior health provider in Westmoreland County, but after less than a year of headaches with changing providers, paying over $1,300.00 to your new start up since July 2024, and all of the staff changes, thank you for encouraging me to actively look to take my mental health and my business elsewhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Pennsylvania?
When comparing providers in Pennsylvania, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Pennsylvania?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Pennsylvania?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Pennsylvania providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Pennsylvania providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
