I was in a deep, dark place this time last year and Cedar Hills took me in with open arms. I had never done an outpatient mental health program, I was feeling really insecure. The staff was wonderful, it felt great to have everything managed in one place. Frequent medication changes proved to be so helpful. This program allowed me to get back to the basics of self care, along with depression and anxiety management. I graduated April 2024 and I’m a different person. I can go to work, I can safely express my emotions, I can verbalize my needs, and I understand that I have worth. Thank you Paisley for being the best counselor and helping us all get to the place we want and deserve to be.

The staff are amazing, the psychiatrist is very understanding, and does their best to listen, they want to help, and it is so obvious that they care about helping, which is rare in the mental health field when it comes to inpatient. I just had an experience somewhere else and I’d say that CATC is comparatively and generally speaking a 10/10

DAWN RUSZCZYK, MSW abused me by laughing at me when I was serious about my childhood trauma. She is a horrible therapist who never cared about me and only pretended to do that so that I would recommend her for a promotion. She was never held accountable for abusing me during sessions by laughing at me and never letting me address my trauma.

I have been going here now for about two weeks and I must say that the acupuncture treatment here is top notch. Also the nutritional kitchen puts out some of the most delicious dishes that curbs the hunger for any drug use. The staff here is very uplifting and is there to help you through your journey in substance use recovery all the way.

Update: Things are continuing to go well! My initial impressions in the review below still stand. Some additional context: they onboarded me quite expediently when other clinics accepting my insurance had closed their waitlists, and to date, the experience has been phenomenal. The staff and providers here are highly professional and helpful. I like the concept of this clinic, as I feel the graduate level students have a firm grasp on the contemporary research related to psychology and mental health. I am relatively new to this clinic, so I will update my review in the near future. However, what I have experienced so far has instilled great confidence in me.

The BHRC is a truly-amazing organization. Almost all of the staff are caring people who know the struggles of the people that they serve, often because they come from similar critical situations, so they truly get their challenges.

Always Very Lovely & Comforting staff to be around. When I’m there I feel almost like I’m home.. & yes, it is a lengthy process but that is only because they are very thorough because they want to see that you get ALL the help and resources available to you. Also they have a ton of people walk through those doors everyday so in my opinion the RAC is amazing, & I appreciate all the time you dedicate to all of us, you’re saving lives everyday. Thank You.

After reading the reviews I am glad I missed my appointment. It seems this clinic got worst this last year just like the one downtown. The one downtown I was never in and out. My schedule at work made it hard for me to go so I stopped. I don't know what changed in these clinics that made it worst. I don't want to be just a number and I want a counselor that cares . The phone groups are ridiculous. They need to just keep clients that really want recovery. Then they wouldn't have so many people and then maybe the counselors would stay and nurses. I'm sorry but its the patients that scare off the nurses and counselors. Anyways whatever there doing at these clinics thats different then years ago. Its not making ur clinic better . All your doing is helping the ones that don't want recovery with there drug fix. People like me that want to get better can't cause its those people that keep me from not going .

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Oregon?
When comparing providers in Oregon, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Oregon?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Oregon?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Oregon providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Oregon providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
