I dread this is the o ly "mental" help service in town. They are awful. I have had, perhaps my 5th referral with them in the last 2 years. Few months ago we had a show snap and they were ill- prepared and didn't show up to work or call to let patients know anything until Saturday afternoon. After Morton Clinic kicked me out and my mental snapped and they called Copes on me all of a sudden the Governor had money for me to receive mental health services.... so why am I still waiting in a que somewhere, why do I have to call and ask,veg and verify to my doctor I have actually have referral and I do but they have t called. Even before the new location opened the employees were coming to work and driving the Family children vehicles all over town, really shoving it i to our faces how they help theirswlves and not the literally challenged individuals who are sleeping on their sidewalks or across the street at Mavericks. No they ignore the real problems and only help people they and the state deem the company will recieve money from helping this particular individual and everyone else they wish we take care of selves and end our life's. They literally give NO HOPE!

Was suppose to take my son for his appt and the receptionist that said I missed my appt was very rude and hateful. Was trying to explain to her that we had already cancelled my son's appt she told me because it was a disability appt that I should of went to the appt. Explained to her that I'm very cautions on who my son's sees and knowing the complete back round of creditals to understanding that testing my son by not knowing him wouldn't give y'all the right info. With that being said, she said that I need to do what I was told and come to the scheduled time and now I should take it up with social security. I wasn't listening no more and hung up. They expect me to take my child here. Think again.

I've had an excellent time with them. They have all new staff working here, even the med doctor has changed. There's a TV, soda machine and extra waiting room available. Darla, the therapist is such a knowledgeable and helpful lady. Talking to her is like talking to a friend and she has some amazing coping skills. Tracy, the secretary also makes the wait for comfortable by letting me sit in a backroom away from loud noises and people. The facility also offers drug court and rehab for those that need it. The place is clean, staff is friendly.

Twisted, threatening, abusive, and vindictive. If you have ever heard be on the lookout for snakes in the grass or you will get bitten? Sometimes the snakes are in front of you. The food is microwaved only. If an adolescent responds with “yes ma’am or no ma’am” they are told it is disrespectful. An adult is always believed over any short term resident. There is only one side to every story and that is not heard by the adolescents. There is no respect given to the residents. Respect is expected to be given to the staff. But beware respect is twisted in many directions. What you are taught is respect is not what is real for everyone. Never recommend.

Green Country’s new direction and services are stellar. When an agency doesn’t hire to fill seats but puts it priority on only hiring compassionate, caring and empathetic staff that truly care about the clients and the service delivery that is best for the community it’s always going to be worthy of 5 stars. I’ve been in this business for over 40 years and I truly recognize commitment to excellence in this business.

Grand Mental Health helped me! The staff ARE NOT OVERPAID! The Staff have their hands full and if you don't think so, be there for a week like I was and find out for yourself. I have tremendous respect for the Staff at the Pryor, OK. facility. While there, I thought to myself, the Staff were having to provide *BABYSITTING SERVICES for ALL of these people! Several threw temper tantrums, broke things, screamed and hollered like a misbehaved child. I thought too *what happened in your childhood that made you this way?" So SOME of you parents who want to find fault in Pryor's Mental Health Facility, you should actually be owning up to how much damage you probably did to make these young people the way they are today. I'm 69 years old, I had myself checked in for help, I was treated with the utmost respect by all staff and nurses there. I remain sober to this day and I want to THANK PRYOR MENTAL HEALTH FOR ALL THEY DID FOR ME. I want to ESPECIALLY THANK BRIAN AND BRETT AND THE NURSES...Peace & Love to all at Pryor Mental Health Staff & Nurses. You ALL saved my life. Thank you All again.

My therapist gave a stranger my important info as in social security number, phone number, address and past trauma info. When she realized what she did, she contacted the person she gave it to but didn’t tell me! I found out because the person who got my info kindly called me to let me know! I would stay away if I were you!

I want to point something out. I was in this boys home for four years. Those were the best years of my life. I had very tough times but the staff stuck with me and helped me out. I’m seeing a lot of bad reviews that don’t make sense to the boys home that I know. There is one that kicks the side of me like a truck, it’s the review about Rylan Harris. I personally knew this young man and he took it upon himself to break the rules and put himself in harms way. Unfortunately he passed. I know of some other kids that the same thing happened to and I could’ve been one of them cause I would run away. Kids aren’t running away cause this place is abusive like you people want to claim. They are running away because they don’t like the authority above them. Now may God bless those families who lost someone, some little boy that was in some sort of accident. But don’t blame the staff. The staff do everything they can and have rules and policies preventing things that I know for a fact they follow. They don’t like some of them but in order to keep the job that continues helping young men they have to. This place is not a bad place. I stuck out four years here. I got out three years ago and since then I’ve bought several of my own cars, kept a good paying job, and pay my own bills. I’m 20 years old. DO NOT BLAME THE STAFF. If a staff member did something wrong I have full belief and trust in the management taking action. And if this isn’t enough to stop all the hate sending these people’s way than all of you are no better than who you say they are

It’s a joke!! I’ve been there at least 6 times and they’ve never yet asked me why I thought I needed counseling. I have a lot of issues and the biggest was not fixed which was something that had to do with having shelter. I dress nice, am clean, and don’t drink or do drugs so me living in a motel was never fixed. Needless to say the main reason I was there has never been brought up. Don’t waste your time bc it’s not worth it.

We are visiting Oklahoma and my husband told me about this abandoned insane asylum he drove by on accident. I googled it all I could find was one YouTube video on it. Well we drove over there because I had to see it! I was able to get out of the car and walk around the outside of it. It’s very creepy especially with the cages that wrap all the way around the second and third floor. You’ll have to look at my photos. This building was ginormous and there were a ton more buildings around it that were part of this too and we drove around those too. I don’t know if it’s haunted but based on my feelings alone I’d say it absolutely is. Yet it’s very eerie yet beautiful in so many ways. It reminded me of something from the Netflix series American Horror Stories

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Oklahoma?
When comparing providers in Oklahoma, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Oklahoma?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Oklahoma?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Oklahoma providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Oklahoma providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
