Unity Point Counseling & Resource Center, Inc., located at 901 West 18th Street in Ada, Oklahoma, is a trusted nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the well-being of individuals and families in the community. Originally founded in 1971 as a safe haven for youth, the center has evolved into a full-service provider of behavioral health, counseling, and supportive programs for all ages. In 2006, Unity Point opened its dedicated shelter facility, offering refuge to youth in crisis, and in 2017, the organization rebranded from Area Youth Shelter to better reflect its expanded mission.
Today, Unity Point offers a broad range of services including individual, family, and group counseling, mental health and substance use treatment, behavioral management, and specialized trauma support. The facility is also certified in treating co-occurring disorders and operates a youth emergency shelter for individuals up to 17 years old. Programs such as anger management, parenting support, and the First Time Offender Program provide targeted interventions that address both emotional and behavioral challenges. Additionally, Unity Point’s “New Beginnings” initiative extends resources, guidance, and on-site childcare to families in need, fostering stability and resilience.
