I have loved every single person I have met here and that's including the secretaries. Two of my children go here and they absolutely love their counselor! It has helped tremendously! Only thing I was slightly upset about was that my daughters first 2 people she met and dealt with ended up leaving because they were interns but the new ones are incredible. And my daughter instantly loved her new counselor. Thank you for the work you all do !

My family member has really benefitted from the Same-Day access program (with Delaware County). The therapists are compassionate and offer practical suggestions. The Syntero support staff is friendly and make an effort to communicate about appointments and billing. We're very happy with this practice!

I've dealt w chc a few times. Had a really great counselor for a while but other than that, not so great. Other 2 counselors I had were horrible. Also, KW who works at the front desk admitted to looking at a mutual friends file violating HIPPA, chc won't do anything about it. She posted that friends mug shot on Facebook with laughing emojis. When this person addressed this issue, outside of chc, KW hid under the desk when this person came to chc for their meds that they needed in order to not be sick. KW acted scared and cried until the client was asked to leave and was kicked out of the program. The client didn't even say a word to her that day. If chc employs people like this they should be shut down. Just saying.

I was a beechbrook foster parent for over fiver years. Because I told a cuyahoga county case worker wasn’t coming to my house they falsified information on me and beechbrook went ghost. Even though I sent emails, text messages, incident reports and IEPs for the kids in my home. Beechbrook didn’t have my back and they made me suspend my foster care license and when my attorney subpoenaed their records for the six kids in my home they said “no” until my attorney reminded them they have to give up the records. I don’t know if they didn’t want county to cut them off but they were not supportive and went ghost. Do not do foster care with them. I will be putting all of my evidence on my social media pages. This is evidence of me letting the workers know when the kids were hurt. Either beechbrook didn’t report it to county or county is hiding it but beechbrook said nothing to back me up. This is also a beechbrook worker calling me the day after speaking with the detective. She called at 6am( there wasn’t any kids in my house). Trying to dot their I and cross their ts. I have more evidence.

Everyone there is just wonderful . These people are changing my life. Joni my counselor is the most personable , kind , knowledgeable counselor I've ever been to . All the girls, from the secretary Lisa in the front to chelsey and all the girls in theback. Kind ,considerate. All that matters to them is patients well being. And Dr. Ike the only word I can think of is fantastic . Uses the latest technologies ,writes books. Gives affirmations to all the patients. He is just so knowledgeable about the latest treatments. No arrogance from him right down into whatever problem a patient brings to him.kindness, for me that meant so much. He understood and knew exactly the course to take with me. God bless these people there all lifesavers

Flat out there is some amazing people here. They ensure families actively engage with all of their children. They want to see you be successful. They compliment parents. Take into consideration that their job is to ensure you improve your skills. Every parent has room for improvement. Have an open mind to constructive improvement. I love the ladies that work here. They have seen you at a very tough time in your life. They see you and give compliments. If you do not like it here ,maybe it is because you are not taking their advice. It is part of their job. Reality is there is not a perfect parent out there. Some of the bad reviews with this place I believe is that maybe they were not putting forth the effort. Possibly people need to stop living their life on defense. These ladies and a few men really care about their families. It is not easy for them to watch the kids hearts melt. If you are a client then realize this is your kids time. This is not for you. Yes, it is so you can bond with your child. Please let your child leave your emotions at the door. That time is important for your child. Engage as much as possible and compliment your kids. You can do it. I promise you got this. It is so important to show up. If you do anything on the Case plan the most important part is to be there for your kids. They notice when you do not show up. Please do not take this part of the case lightly. Whatever you have going on outside of visitation do not bring it here. These people tri their best. Your family can and will get through this. Keep an open mind, be respectful, and engage.

I've used signature health for almost 10 years and have only had 1 bad experience when it came to my psychiatric care, and that was remedied as soon as I spoke with my case manager Dee. I also liked their primary care doctors as well and continued to do so I told I moved out of the area. I still use signature for my psych care, and in my 10 years at Signature health I will say that the beginning was a bit bumpy with case manager turnover but the last 8 years have been AMAZING. I had been working with Doc Wilhelm until his retirement and his replacement Katie is also amazing (I was a bit apprehensive at first but she made me feel at ease) I will say after Doc retired I also opted for a therapist as well and have been pretty consistent this time and I look forward to my weekly appointments with Kearney as well. Please keep up the amazing work!

The Woodlands only take Medicare or cash. So if you are a person employed, you will not get help from these people. How can a place claim they are there for mental health but only limit themselves to a certain group of people? They say they are a non-profit but it looks a little fishy to me that they limit the kinds of people they help and the way they get paid.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Ohio?
When comparing providers in Ohio, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Ohio?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Ohio?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Ohio providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Ohio providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
