Not the best but tolerable. Some of the nurses were genuinely nice, and some of the nurses seemed pretentious, almost forcing themselves to act like they cared. A few of the staff were straight up rude. One staff member even came into my room and ripped the blankets off of me in bed and demanded that I get up and sign documents. I overheard a nurse thank this woman for getting results. The food was great and the cooks were friendly.

I am greatful that this place exists. Mostly for same day appointments. Especially cause the schools force you to get a note even for a runny nose. My main concern is the fact that our appointments are contantly canceled and rescheduled. Never quickly either, like several weeks to a month later. My child had a horrible blood test about 6 or 7 weeks ago and no re draw. No check to make sure her numbers were back to normal. Just 3 rescheduled appointments. Then they tried to say it was never rescheduled. Yes it was, 3 times. Just frustrating when your a terrified parent not getting the answers you desperately need. We even went in for a nurse visit and they wouldn't check it. Honestly anyone can do the blood draw, so I don't get it.

I called. Just ask a simple question and the lady that I talked to made me feel as if I wasn't welcome to call. When I asked her questions she made me feel entitled and kind of.. in a lack of better words stupid. Personally, I just called on behalf of somebody else and needed some information and I definitely will not recommend whoever I talk to. Maybe there needs to be a meeting about how to professionally, take a call and the tone of your voice when you are on the phone. It makes a huge huge difference, especially if someone were to be calling because they needed help. And as somebody that doesn't struggle with that, and them having me feel as small as they could, I can't imagine how they treat you guys in there.

My son’s medical was dropped. And it took 4 months for them to get it going again which I am thankful for but they didn’t backdate it to when I refiled for it. So I’m in a pickle there. I’m pregnant and have been in here 6 times to the reassurance of there’s nothing else I need to do to renew mine. And somehow it’s been lost or not updated because here I am about to give birth with no insurance. I don’t know if the people at the front are just telling you what you want to hear so you leave happy, and not actually doing anything to assist you with your case. Or what’s going on but I’m so incredibly stressed by the situations I’m now faced with being reliant on your services.

I went to this place in 2023 when I was 17. I’m writing this review as my experience being a trans male that spent 3 months here. If you have a trans child, please do not send them here. First, they put me in a girls lodge, which I was not comfortable with in the slightest. Then, they started giving me my testosterone shots, but stopped because they thought I’d sue them if I “changed my mind”. I missed multiple shots while they figured out what to do about me. They ended up having a staff member drive me to the hospital every week to get my shot, which was nice but should’ve been figured out earlier. This place used to be a Christian establishment. They are now under new management but majority of the staff are from the old one. Many of the staff misgendered me often which only added to my mental struggles I went there to treat. Not to mention the screaming panic attack I had where the staff didn’t know what it was so they locked me in my room and treated me like I was trying to be a disruption when I genuinely needed help. Also there’s a time out room you that even I, someone without behavioral issues who was there for suicidal ideation, was forced to go in. One time there was a contraband incident and the staff made us get fully naked behind a curtain. Little did we know they could see our entire naked bodies in the mirrors behind us. I will say there are some great staff that genuinely care. My safe space was the music room at the school. Overall, this place did not make me feel better. It was traumatic.

Front desk service is very unprofessional. Always trying to be argumentative. Transportation has not been put in correctly, making it difficult to get to appointments. When calling the phone line, receptionist has interrupted me, not listened to my concerns and told me to calm down. Just very unprofessional and gives misleading or wrong information. I've never gotten my concerns addressed due to their continued ignorance and lack of professionalism and compassion. Truly sad to see when every other department does an outstanding job. But yes the first people you see really dim the whole operation.

I came in this morning and was greeted by Bella for bloodwork. Bella was absolutely wonderful, efficient and wonderful personality and I was in and out in 6-8 minutes! She’s the best employee I’ve had the pleasure getting labs from! Also the initial needle poke wasn’t even noticeable and gave me feedback when results should be ready! 10 stars

Once upon a time I trusted this place, and it a was a life saver. This time I went in with some self harming feelings, and they called the police on me, and I was taken to providence. If I wanted to go to providence, I would have... this place has outlived its usefulness to missoula. Regulations, budget cuts, and the current staff have destroyed this once safe place to turn for help.

The therapists are ok. They are more of here are your meds. Let’s check back in a month or two to see how they are going. But, the support staff are awful. They are glib and uncaring and consistently say my pharmacy hadn’t faxed them, they had. The only reason I give it a second star, is because they accommodate 100% virtual appointments. My first experience with them was checking if they took my insurance, they did. They were an in network provider. Then they went and scheduled me with someone who was not in network and I got a denial for the claim and even though I had met my out of pocket max for the year in network, so I had to pay 100% out of pocket for the one appointment I had with them before they quit and went elsewhere. I was reassigned and the person I have now is pleasant and friendly and easy to work with. I wish their office staff wasn’t so inept.

Not a safe or consistent provider. Has no staff other than self and has difficulty navigating insurance. Instead of referring to a different provider, she just stopped responding and billed $500 regardless. Trouble with taking accountability or in problem solving situations, just avoids which isn’t what people necessarily should expect out of their provider. Make cause a development of trust issues in mental health treatment.

Nurses think they are better than you and use their job to exert power over others. Paul the doctor is the same and just believes whatever his nurses say. They treat you as if your just a mental patient with a drug problem and no one listens to you. worst care I’ve ever had , never worked with such unprofessional people ever. even though I am left abandoned without medication that I’ve been taking for eight years, I’m glad I don’t have to deal with these people anymore

Never in my life have I been treated as badly as this company has treated me. They’re a mental health facility and they canceled two appointments on a mental health patient. The last appointment, I had to wait an hour and a half and call the office myself to learn that the doctor canceled on me. They’re also impossible to get ahold of, so I called multiples times and they got mad at me for doing so after no one reached out to me about the cancellation. What a joke.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Montana?
When comparing providers in Montana, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Montana?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Montana?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Montana providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Montana providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
