If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT book sessions here they will double book you and make you wait a while to see anyone. They blamed it on “miscommunication” but the owner of the company had a personal conversation with my husband and knew what a desperate situation we are in and he still booked over his appointment. There were no texts or calls to inform us that the appointment would be given away. So we showed up for the appointment 2/12 they looked at us like we were crazy. Then said we could wait more than 4 weeks for another spot after we have already waited 8 weeks for a spot just to get a consultation. This is so unprofessional and I can’t believe they didn’t make it right. I hope this helps someone else looking for help know that they obviously are to busy to care so on one hand good for them on the other shame on you Cody.

Honestly i know i may sound cliche but ybgr does help heal, hope and inspire youth. Many people may counter argue that with me but hey we all have our own opinions. Many others though would agree with me. There may have been crazy things that have happened there but at the same time this place has saved many people from alot of things. Ybgr helped save me from my addiction, my self doubt and the negative in my life. thank you to my Kramily(Kramlich lodge) My shucrew(Schumaker lodge) and countless others. I wish the best of any kid who goes in there and all the employees too. My last final journey with ybgr ended Sept. 30th and i will forever miss it there and hold it dear in my heart. With all the love in the world- ShayQ (Kramlich Lodge from Feb. - Sept 2025

So many improvements could be made . First, you sit in the same room for 13 hours a day. I nearly had bed sores on my rear end. Even if you are there voluntarily, you are treated as a child and always watched, making this place very prison-like. Very limited fresh air and outdoor time. 80% of staff are not recovering alcoholic/ addicts and have no empathy nor do they try to relate to the clients. I witnessed two "therapists" (daily) making fun of clients behind their backs , rolling eyes etc. so if you are looking for a place to heal and recover from your addiction this is not it. Not to mention, people come straight from jail, and they absolutely do not want to be there. This results in people smuggling drugs in from the jails. You can imagine the danger that this causes for recovering addicts who are not strong enough in their recovery to face their drug of choice yet. I do highly suggest recovery center of Montana it changed my life. I now have 19 months of sobriety after going there.

I thought the programming and services were good. I actually found the staff to be very friendly and accepting of real diversity. Which unfortunately I did not find the rest of the town to be so much as. I admit at first I didn't like having to go to recovery mall. But I got used to it. Sometimes I miss the question they used to ask. As to what change in diet everybody wants. And of course everybody would say along with me more beef.

Possibly the worst experience in my entire life. Simply cannot believe that ANY state allows this criminal enterprise with the facade of a business, to collect Medicaid on behalf of the most vulnerable population among us. The entire operation is a case study in what is wrong with the field of social work today (2025).

While I love my kids' therapist, and the ladies at reception, I'm am more than a little frustrated with medications. Twice their psychologist has left the practice without warning, and without setting up med refills or another psych. We have been trying since August to get refills, it is mid September now. I have asked TWICE in the last two weeks to get my sons medication refilled so he can go to school, and both times the person in back said it would happen, but here we are having to call our kid out of school because the staff who deals with medication isn't holding up their end. I wish there was a way to hold Intermountain responsible for their shortcomings. It isn't like it is retail where a mistake is easy to fix, this is brain chemistry being muddled with with inconsistent medication doses due to a lack of care on the medication teams side.

My experience with NewDay has been beyond unacceptable, and I would strongly caution other parents before considering this school. The lack of communication and accountability is alarming. Serious concerns about student safety—bullying, repeated attempts by other students to start physical altercations, and inappropriate behavior—have been brought forward multiple times, yet nothing meaningful has been done. When I’ve asked for clarification, I’ve been met with vague responses or no real answers at all. On top of that, the condition of the school raises serious concerns about basic hygiene and oversight. My child has come home with head lice eggs 10 times in the last month alone. That is not a one-time issue—that is a pattern, and it speaks volumes about how situations like this are (not) being handled. It is unacceptable for any school environment to allow something like that to continue unchecked. There have also been instances of staff sharing inappropriate or graphic information with students, which is completely unprofessional and raises serious questions about judgment and training. At the end of the day, this is supposed to be a place where children are safe, supported, and able to learn. That has not been our experience. Instead, it has been stressful, frustrating, and honestly concerning as a parent. NewDay needs to take a hard look at its policies, staff accountability, cleanliness, and how it handles student safety—because right now, it is falling short in every one of those areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Montana?
When comparing providers in Montana, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Montana?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Montana?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Montana providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Montana providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
