Today was my first time visiting outside of Aldermanic meetings. It was my first time taking my 3 year old to the library. She enjoyed it. She played in the children’s area and didn’t want to leave. We found 3 books she liked, and we sat and read one of them there. We received a flyer as we were leaving for upcoming events for children on Saturdays. We will return

The actual care/treatment received here was fine, but their director and administration side operate on a level that is closer to fraud and extortion. I genuinely liked the counselors that I saw here, but their director and front desk conducted themselves with such disdain for professionalism that my overall experience has turned into a negative one. Poor customer service skills and non existent communication are one thing to deal with in any other field, but when people's livelihoods are at stake, missed followups and false claims about those followups turn into a bit bigger of a deal then normal. The entire misunderstanding would have been easily navigated with proper communication skills. Instead of making a simple followup phone call to clarify payment status, they tried to state i refused to pay. This is not the case. I asked how it was that im suddenly expected to pay when I was originally told that I couldn't be put back on the schedule until we got payment for my sessions figured out. I explained that I am broke and make literally 0 dollars. They had me fill out a bunch of grant paperwork and share recent bank information with them. They told me until that was done I couldnt get back on the schedule. I did the grant paperwork. They put me back on the schedule. Never once did they clarify and say oh btw, grant declined, youre gonna have to pay. Now they try to maintain that none of this was true and they just put me back on the schedule anyway. Now, they hold my completion certificate over my head and say I cant have it until I pay for all me sessions. Again, last I understood, we got that figured out with the grant applications, hence why I was back on the schedule to begin with. Suddenly, thats not how it works. So now they have a whole bunch of my sensitive personal information, AND they held my completion certificate over my head unless I payed them out. Not once did I refuse to pay, I simply asked for an explanation as to how this did not qualify as extortion or fraud. Once again, the actual treatment was fine, but the director should highly consider selling his practice, and the front desk Admin needs to be fired, and a complete overhaul of the administration side needs to be conducted. The ridiculous lies that I just had to deal with because of this director and admin have me offended enough that I would recommend you go to Nicasa before coming here, and I wouldnt wish Nicasa's poor services on my greatest enemy. Thanks to my therapists, you guys rock, I hope you find a better spot for employment soon!

This is my 1st time at an inpatient facility, so there isn't a way for me to compare it to others. I have heard clients say that this is the nicest and best facility they have been to. The BHTs are all genuinely kind. My Case Manager was always on top of things that I needed help or guidance with. My Therapist was also amazing and I felt comfortable around everyone. This is not a 12 step program. Everyday we have classes to help us cope, learn about ourselves and what addiction is. Footprints has an amazing atmosphere.

Was great at first, but recently I've noticed my appointments have been rushed. My X-rays are half a****, and I was left to suffer for two and a half months with a rotting wisdom tooth. No pain meds were given, antibiotics only kept the infection at bay for about a week before the pain started up again. When I finally called about the pain all they did was refilled the antibiotics and gave me 12 pain pills to last 2 months. They make it feel like we're just a number not a person. The dentist blew off my last appointment and I'm just unsettled by how I was treated.

I would not recommend them to anyone. I have a history of PTSD, and drug induced Parkinson’s, and upon intake I informed them of this, after my neurologist stating I could not be on this type of medication. I was told they would never do put me on this family of medications upon intake, but after months of being convinced and pushed into a need for medication, I was told by Diana they were only willing to put me back on this type of medication which cause drug induced Parkinson’s, because they wanted to see for themselves, completely disregarding the extreme risk to my health this poses. After stating I wanted to revoke consent verbally because of this statement, the receptionist wouldn’t listen to me, or direct me to anyone but Diana, and Diana refused to return call backs, and never did. Request was only addressed when I emailed supervisor with written request. Staff didn’t listen genuinely, they just made baseless assumptions, and disregarded medical history and supporting documentation. Their top concern was on client retention alone, and not the physical or mental well-being of the client. This showed a deeply flawed company culture, and unethical behavior from staff. Zero accountability on their part for the company culture they have fostered.

Amazing helpful understanding staff including directors, physician, nurses, case workers, house workers, managers and therapist. I am blessed beyond words that a hospital case worker in Springfield knew about their residential facility and program and encouraged her application. I'm so grateful that the staff accepted my daughter into their program. After almost one year in the facility the change in my daughters behavior, lifestyle, attitude is 100% improved. Thank you each and every one of you for your passion for your clients.

Dr Jessica has changed my life. Consistently checking in, monitoring meds, listens and changes plans WITH me.. doesn’t just write a random prescription and send me on my way. Really really amazing by personality… I just can’t speak highly enough of her to be honest. She has a great medical assistant Melanie who helps a bunch with medicine “upkeep” as well. (Filling and refilling meds). I’m so grateful that I found them.

So long story short this experience was amazing. I had the ketamine and dual reset done and I’ve never felt this calm my entire life. My brain isn’t over thinking 24/7. I don’t feel angry and sad all the time. This week has been truly amazing. Everyone was helpful and kind.

I don’t know any other therapist that would raise their voice, change their tone, and hang up on you for missing appointments, especially when they are online appointments that they could easily call you like any other therapist I’ve been too. Extremely unprofessional, forgetful (idk how many times I answered the same questions or how many times she forgot and used different names) and the manager or higher up, along with the front office lady is no better. Changing tones and raising voices when asked questions that bothered them like why is there no appointment reminder set up, which in return raised her voice and said we have many paitients (so do doctor offices and they have that available) all in all horrible experience would not recommend if you have other choices do not go here! People who need therapy should not be working in therapy offices. Stay blessed.

Today was my first experience with the Maine Township office since moving to Des Plaines 2 years ago and their assistance couldn't have been better. I Initially called the assessors dept. regarding the senior property tax exemption and spoke to Sam who was extremely helpful and courteous. I went to the office later that day and Liz assisted me with filing. Actually, she did the work and also helped me straighten out another issue with the lot numbers. She was a pleasure to work with and I couldn't be happier. Thank you all.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Illinois?
When comparing providers in Illinois, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Illinois?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Illinois?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Illinois providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Illinois providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
