Went here after being hospitalized for mental health. Received the worst counselor I think I've ever had. Just sat there judging me that I was unemployed the whole time when I needed mental health help. First psychiatrist was a joke as well. Didn't listen to anything. I said pushed meds didn't listen to the bad reactions I had to the meds. 0 stars

A few days before my appointment I got a call from (not going to name who it was ) and was told she was leaving the place (something of the sort) and so she gave me to someone else note: I have seen her once and then I saw someone else at another place and then was coming back to her this month. Then I find out she never scheduled an appointment at all. I came to this place to get help and I haven't received ANY. They stopped my meds until I go talk to one of these people and I have been waiting and WAITING and still NOTHING ever seems to go right. Now It looks like I have to find another place to help me since the one that is so close to my home WILL NOT.

Do not waste your time. These people are unprofessional & rude & lazy. If they didn't get court appointed clients, they would be out of business, bc no sane person would talk to these jerks on their own accord.

I was told I was “lucky to be medicated” by my psychiatrist at summit stone. I believe she was a co-founder. I took my mental health care in much better hands where I’m not treated like patients were in the Middle Ages.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Colorado?
When comparing providers in Colorado, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Colorado?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Colorado?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Colorado providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Colorado providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
