I wish I could give a 0. A negative 0 if I could . This place was HORRIBLE. I was in foster care from 2001 to 2003. I had to emancipate because my foster parents were horrible. I made over 200 complaints in all that time and all the social workers and workers all they said to me was " sorry we dont have a family that matches your number'' Thats all they see kids is, a number And from reading a bit from other people looks like it hasnt improved. Stop treating the kids like numbers and treat them like people. Do better FCN.

This place is all about the Benjamin’s. The therapists were fine, but corporate and management only cared if insurance paid. If not, or if insurance only paid partial, they will drop you. And then, without being told, they will try to make you pay what the insurance company did not. After you explain that you would never have agreed to pay if insurance could not, they will have debt collectors chase after you. All for money that you never agreed to pay. I was doing fairly well on my sobriety path, but this set me back. I have found my sobriety in AA. There are people who really care about you there. It isn’t about the money like it is at Foundations. If you are looking for sobriety, I pray that you find it. I certainly did not at this corporate program.

I will not recommend anyone to bringing their children here nor come here to get help. The therapist, Emili V. was terrible! Everything was good for just 1 or 2 session until she started to refuse and delay the resources and help that I requested for, not to mention, was gaslighting and acting unprofessional when both my mother and I confronted her on her behavior, only to get laughed at to our faces. The supervisor, Gregory Koeff was even worse, lying act at the fact that I "missed my appointments" even though I called in and tell them in advance that I will be unable to attend my appointments only twice. These people do not care about the mental health of the people and very unprofessional when it comes to looking for help. If anyone is seeing this and experiencing this problem, please leave the place! Leave the review about the truth about this place! They do not care about helping you nor your children, just money.

I had a medical emergency today involving my eye, and this clinic did absolutely nothing to help me. And because this is my HMO PCP, there was literally nowhere else I could turn for a referral. I had to keep reiterating to whosoever I spoke with that this was a medical emergency, and that my symptoms matched those of either retinal detachment or a mini-stroke, and they still would not help me out. I needed to be seen by an ophthalmologist asap, and they kept trying to set me up with an optometrist for next week, who would then need to refer me to an ophthalmologist, and who knows how long that would take. A real doctor’s office that cares about its patients would’ve gotten you in too see a doctor, even if by a quick video visit, who could then contact an ophthalmologist on my behalf and get me an emergency appointment. These people did absolutely nothing to help. She kept saying to go to urgent care, but urgent care doesn’t have the necessary equipment to deal with eye issues. It seems the people answering calls aren’t equipped to handle emergencies, which is concerning. On top of that, the last time I visited this clinic, I saw two dead roaches in the waiting room and the whole office smelled like food. It’s not exactly the sterile environment you’d hope for in a medical office. And when I was in establishing care, I didn’t even get to see a doctor. It was a PA. I will not be renewing my health plan if it requires me to go this totally unhelpful and unprofessional clinic, and if you get assigned this clinic, I highly advise you switch, too.

This is probably the worst clinic I've been to. The ladies at the front desk (aside from being morbidly obese) do absolutely nothing! All they do is talk about food while they sip on their Starbucks drinks, meanwhile everyone's just waiting to be seen and it takes forever! I had an appointment at 8:15am and was not seen till nearly 9:30am but if you arrive a minute late, they say they can't see you anymore. Do better!

Some of the medical providers are really good, others frightfully incompetent. I had a rash of my leg, the doctor looked at, shrugged his shoulders. Didn't have anything to say other than I don't know. I started moisturing my legs at the suggestion of a friend and the rash disappeared. My PCP is great but his office, the admin, and I guess their referral department are non-communicative in the literal sense. I was promised a referral to a cardiologist and after three weeks and four phone calls, I don't have one and no one has even bothered to return my calls. I had given up on the Adventist clinic for the same reasons and am now giving up on this lot. I found a Sutter PCP in Healdsburg. Sutter is a well-oiled machine. I recommend it to anyone distressed about the lack of care on the Mendocino Coast.

I had a very horrible experience here, will never ever again go here and I don't encourage anyone else going here for help. First when I arrived I laid in emergency room for hours, very sick, they came to me said I was being admitted. The staff in ER are so rude, and lazy, don't care about patients, all they care about is themselves talking to one another, laughing, and ask a question they are rude and act as if ,"Why" I got admitted horrible, when I first got in to room I was ok walking and able to get up on my own. They came in gave me come kind of pill saying it was hydroxyzine, 4 hours later I get up to go to bathroom and I had to use a walker because having trouble walking, got close to bed and I fell and hit my head on a big thing and a nurse asked my caregiver one who was standing by mecehen I was walking why did she fall and what happn ed she said I tripped on chair that's a lie, she wasn't near me making sure if I start to fall to help me and I'm not sure why it so happened that later that night I couldn't walk but when I got there I was able to wonder what pill they gave me. So the hole time I'm here for they have a camera watching me. I as well couldn't get comfortable because they wouldn't give me my sleeping meds I was supposed to have so I tried to lay down at othercend or figure out how to get comfortable and a siren went off and a bunch of security guards came and held me down and they tied my hands and feet down I was like that for hours. As if I was doing something horri my wrong very unacceptable and can't believe they even do that at a hospital to anyone. It happened 3 times having to be tied down. They also gave me some medicine and mixed it with something else that wasn't supposed to be mixed with and it caused me to get very dizzy for 6 days. The nurses and doctors were rude, laughing amongst one another, if I needed help going to bathroom they took so long to come and help me. They wouldn't give me my meds when they was supposed to, took hours for them to bring them to me. This place is just horrible I don't recommend this place to anyone if I could give no stars I would...

I was here from the end of May 2024 to June 2024 for SI at the blossom unit. I don't remember much, but I had an allergic reaction to the food that gave me rashes. They didn't do anything. They just had me wait there while not giving me any medicine or helping me. The food was like a 4 or 5 out of 10. We went outside a couple of times, and they had a big space to just chill. The psychiatrist seemed like he didn't care about the patients. Personally, this place did not help. Many other places are better than this.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in California?
When comparing providers in California, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in California?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in California?
Yes. Mental Health US includes California providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all California providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
