I went here when I was 15. I was supposed to be here only three days and it ended up being seven. There was a girl having a breakdown and they took her shoes from her knowing she doesn’t want her personal belongings being touched and they were screaming at her. Also when it was my discharge date my mom was supposed to show up by a certain time and two hours had passed by or more and I was concerned. I asked the nurse if I could call to check in and she dismissed me and told me “she’ll show up” I also got yelled at for forgetting to take my shoes with laces off (complete accident) but the guy was an ass about it.
I used to receive services here for my mental health issues. I had Nancy and she was amazing. She was right on dosages and when needing to swap medications. Everyone does well at the Welch Clinic. I now work at the Welch Clinic and I love it. They have great teamwork there.
I absolutely love this place! The staff are very friendly and caring.

Dr Hanson and his team Kristan and terry and rest are absolutely amazing I’ve been with them 10+ years! Before it was proact! They truly care about us! Thank you for helping others change lives around !!
This place has completely messed me up they have me a diagnosis of autism when I was very young and now that I am older i have changed a lot since then not willing to look into it anything do not of here if your wanting someone to help you with your diagnosis.
My sister, Rhonda Kay Fike, was a long term, 30 year client of PHG in Romney, WV. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her mother, and two of the best employees PHG has. We have yet to receive a call or even a sympathy card from the Executive Director, Mike Landis, or Theresa Mowery, Day Treatment Coordinator, or Sharon Engle, Director of Developmental Disabilities. When you care more about the bottom line than the clients, you lose your ability to provide compassionate and meaningful care. My mother had to advocate for her daughter, when PHG implemented policies that were harmful and even dangerous to Rhonda's care. There was a telephonic meeting on October 31, 2022 in which my mother addressed her concerns regarding the reduction of staff ratios towards Rhonda and her roommate. My sister was blind and severely mentally challenged and her roommate was wheelchair bound. The ratio was one on one and reduced to two on one without notifying my mother, Rhonda's guardian. Ms. Teresa Mowery scoffed and heckled my mother during this meeting for asking a simple question regarding the care of her daughter. Ms. Mowery was completely unprofessional towards my mother and I was shocked that she was representing PHG in this manner. Her lack of communication caused a situation yo escalate that could have been handled professionally. The staff that my sister had, caring for her in her home, were beyond amazing and became our family. Their love for my sister showed in their dedication to their job. They deserve better than how PHG treats them and will forever be in our hearts. I wish I could say the same thing about the management side. When you mistreat your employees, don't care about your clients, and are lacking basic compassion, you are creating the opposite environment to flourish and succeed. My sister, Rhonda Kay Fike, was a beautiful soul. Too bad management was too blind to see that.
I must say.; Gale MacAllister is such sn understanding soul. She approached my situation with an open ear. Her understanding and professional nature and knowledge stands out as a practitioner. Her assessment of my medical issues; she approached with careful care and took the time to listen and engage with me to get a unique perspective which is rear these days. I'm very satisfied and blessed I'm her patient. So I highly recommend Prestera's Hurricane facility.
I came in for a sensitive medication that you CANNOT get off quickly or it can kill you. I saw the psychiatrist and it was extremely impersonal it is all telemed. I was refused medication I have been on for 10 years, I asked what do I do to prevent seizures. I was told go to the ER. Thank god I found a provider that cares about patients wellbeing because this one does not care if you live or die or your quality of life. Absolutely horrid and textbook malpractice. I wouldnt recommend this provider to my worst enemy. With that being said everyone at the front desk is extremely polite and seem to care ALOT more than the one that should most (the doctor). Good luck!

A joke Just because you choose to be taking suboxone means that you can never get help with anxiety. There is something called dual diagnosis that should be treated more seriously. As someone with bipolar disorder and a history of anxiety with major depression due to father in hospice on his last days, this means nothing to this messed up system they say is helping... I personally know other people who are currently taking suboxone and are also on something for anxiety. It's wrong to force us from taking a medicine that is changing your life or taking something for Severe anxiety. It is situations like this that really effect a bipolar person in recovery and going through a life changing death of a father isn't enough of reason to try to help someone in dire need. I would have rated it zero stars if I could have
First experience here was BAD. Dr Asgar was extremely rude, saying I need weight loss surgery, said I was racist, guess he didn't know my ex is African American. Said my Social phobia is in my mind which is when he declared me a racist. But, I requested a new Dr and this new one is amazing. I am glad I did not stop after being down graded and left more depressed than ever, I would recommend Eastridge, just not Dr Asgar.

Worst place to receive help. Dr Bez is one of the most unhelpful medical professionals i’ve ever met. The only solution he has is one medicine and upping the dose until you’re numb. Never gonna live a good life seeing these people. Not to mention if you call them and try to set up an appointment because you work full time; they won’t let you because you missed one appointment even with a notice.
It is almost impossible to call and actually have someone answer; and there are no available doctors in the facility so you have to talk to someone on the TV.
This is a great company with wonderful employees. Everyone is truly dedicated to providing the best care possible. Definitely reach out if you are struggling or need some extra support!

This facility is the worst of the worst. I was placed here for a weeks stay just a couple years ago. Surprise, surprise… this place left me with so much trauma, I had to come back to write this review incase somebody’s daughter or son is in search of help. Do not go here. I was obviously in a very fragile state when I was admitted here. The staff is ignorant and not one nurse cares for you. Not once did I get one on one help/therapy like I was promised. Come to find out, I did not get that help that was desperately needed and legally promised, because the therapist went on vacation and there was zero substitute. Us inpatients had group therapy one time my entire stay there. The only reason we got that single hour of so called “group therapy” is because us patients called the staff out on their total lack of care, and we told the night nurse shift lead. It in fact was not therapy, it was a nurse yelling at us to stop “spreading lies” about their work ethic. They were angry that we potentially got them in trouble. Instead of taking any accountability and making a change in action, they decided the best idea was to yell at us patients. During my stay here, my roommate tried to harm me physically, so I told a nurse immediately. After two days of waiting to be transferred to a new room, I finally was. Shame on them for not making my safety a priority. On top of that, that same roommate ended up physically harming another patient, and a fight broke out. But wait, it gets worse!!! I am vegan. I notified the nurses of my diet as soon as I was checked in. My diet was not accommodated for. I was the only patient who did not receive snacks for my diet restrictions. I could not eat three meals a day, during seven days of being here. There was meat on several of my plates. Anytime I had to ask for more toiletries, food, towels, or necessities I was greeted with no manners by the staff, and got snarky remarks in return. Our laundry was never up kept, our linens were laid out in the hallway for days on end. On the day of my discharge, a new patient was sent in. He was older, and meant harm to females there. He sexually came onto me, and physically grabbed my hair and body. I immediately told the shift lead nurse, and she did not care one bit. She shrugged in front of my face and said she will figure it out. But the second I give another patient a hug, I am yelled at. I was on a phone call with a relative, and went three minutes over my time limit…. I was scolded by a nurse and left in tears. I was publicly humiliated by her, and that is the last thing any human needs when they are asking for help. This is the most inhumane mental hospital I know of. The staff is undeserving of their jobs. The patients help each other, and that is the only help that is given…Because why would they care about any humans mental health and provide any help? Shame on this facility, and shame on everyone employed there. If you are on the search for a place to stay to survive, do not go here.
I'm supposed to be a patient for their therapy services after a suicide attempt. I have no money, I'm homeless, I can't afford the bus and all I got when I tried explaining why I couldn't make my appointments was because of such things, I was just told that the busses can get me there and that was a good option. I have no money for bus fare and I have never ridden a public bus before, they scare me due to bad experiences on other public transport. I haven't been able to get my medications in weeks either because of my lack of money and I haven't been able to get help. I'm tempted to go back to the hospital just to get help in getting everything on track and to get this rediculous situation delt with.
