I would give Maple Mountain health and wellness 10+ stars if I could! Going there was the best thing I have ever done for myself in my whole life. I highly recommend this facility for anyone dealing with trauma and substance use issues. The modalities of therapy offered were life-changing. I learned many new life skills, and have tools to bring home as I continue my healing and recovery journey. I felt like I was in a safe, beautiful home with the most loving, caring, and kind staff you could ever ask for. The best part is that I made lifelong friends that I will cherish forever. The entire program is incredibly well structured, the staff and therapists are very knowledgeable and kudos to the chefs, as the food was not only nutritious, but phenomenal! Aside from the educational groups that range from group processing, yoga Nidra, sound bath, nutrition and wellness, equine and music therapy (my personal favorites) DBT, CBT, and stress management were incredibly valuable, and I learned so much from these programs. Jen was the first person I spoke with, and I knew in our conversation that this was the right place for me. I was warmly welcomed right from the beginning, and knew this journey would be healing and memorable. We also were able to have a lot of fun with the experiential activities they carefully planned for us. Special kudos to Vikki and Kevin, who went out of their way to give me the care and tools for me to maintain my recovery and sobriety. I am forever grateful to every single person at Maple Mountain recovery. I researched the entire country for two weeks to find this place, and it was worth that time because they deserve every rave review they get! Super highly recommended and feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Thank you so much to everyone at MMR! I will never forget you and love you all💜

I never write reviews because I don't know who even reads them still. But this location specifically was a much needed reality check. If I didn't go here, my life would have gone down a really fatal spiral. I felt supported by enough staff who knew what they were doing and constantly trying to improve.

It was difficult to choose a star since some experiences have been wonderful and others horrible so I went with a 3. I have been a patient for 8 years. The doctor turnaround has been really bad. We have a very knowledgeable, reliable one now, Dr Laura who has been there almost 3 years. A total record! I have never had issues with the nurses. They are always professional and very nice. But councilors like doctors are in and out within 6 months. Which means you have to “tell your story” to another new person and get used to their own style. Although I have had Miss Laurie for a couple years now as well. Consistency is so very important in this setting. Like most people I feel some of the rules and restrictions are ridiculous but that’s a government thing, not a southwest thing! I have tried Mohave Mental Health but feel Southwest is a better fit for me.

My first encounter with White River Academy was one I will never forget, and each one after has continued to be much the same. I was going to judge by the "vibe" I felt when I walked in. I was greeted with friendly and helpful staff. Their interaction with the boys in their care was patient and kind. The facility is kept clean and decorated to the season with a creative flare, and the food is amazing. I was also impressed how organized everything was. They have live teachers and teachers assistants for their academic program, which is nice for the students to be able to get lessons directly without having to be online. Their therapists are creative and develop groups that are fun and interactive in addition to individual and family sessions. The thing that impressed me the most though was how much everyone really shows they care about helping these kids to be successful at life when they leave there. They take time with them and do what they can to help them understand things that maybe hasn't always made sense. You couldn't ask for more kind and caring people to help these young man walk this path in a very challenging part of their journey. I would highly recommend White River Academy should a residential treatment program ever be necessary.

These people are truly great!! Especially the staff and my Dr Derek Moody. I’ve had had 2 others, the one with video calls wasn’t the best but having found Derek; it’s a relief knowing he will be around, for a while, as will my conditions. Meaning he’s young compassionate and understanding. I might add well educated in things,as well as willing to learn or listen. I am great full for him and the staff here. I know every one might not have the same experience and it takes time to build a relationship. I am glad to have got to! I hope he is around for many more years! to keep me on track to live the best life I can!

I wanted to take the time to write this review because I understand how discouraging the process of seeking mental healthcare can be - the frustration often inherent to the whole process of finding a practice, making sure they take your insurance or ensuring care is financially feasible by some other means, scheduling, and figuring out if you vibe with your clinician - sometimes, only to have to start over and do it all again and again. I really hope by writing this maybe someone who currently in such a situation will read my review and feel encouraged to keep trying and call The Healing Group.

Came here for court mandated substance abuse and treatment. No judgement/blame, outstanding care and staff, (April) and amazing programs eventually led to my voluntary sobriety! I could not have done it without their insight and support, almost 5 years sober! The main reason for the review is that even 6 years later, I was able to contact them and have them send my records over to a different state, not once but twice! You do not receive service like that too often anymore! Thank You!

One of my children has been coming here for a few months, and they absolutely love it! Elena is so kind, patient, and calming with my child. We recently went through autism testing, and the entire process was smooth. After receiving the diagnosis, we were able to start a therapy plan right away. The ladies at the front desk are always so sweet and helpful, and they make us feel welcome every time we visit. Thank you for creating such a positive and supportive environment!

DO NOT GO to Delta CUCC, if you don't have to. To them, it's just a job. The education is there but no experience. They will keep pushing you until you snap and if you're in a group, be prepared to have your HIPAA information shared with everyone! If you have to go or are court ordered, recommend you call the Nephi office and schedule virtual visits.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Utah?
When comparing providers in Utah, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Utah?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Utah?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Utah providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Utah providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
