I would give 0 if I could. I was let in although their policy was that if you are pain meds, I have chronic pain, Ankylosing Spondylitis, they will not accept you. I went there 2 weeks then changed their minds. The CEO or president or whatever his title was called and talked to me. He said sorry! I was just beginning to feel some type of new start. This is not okay to do to someone who is already struggling with mental health issues. This was last year April 2024. They keep sending me bills too. I would find another facility.

If you can go to the Logan location do that instead. We called today ahead of time and a lady from Logan answered. She told us that she would tell the tremonton location that we were on our way since they close the printer at 5:30pm and maps had us getting to the building at 5:31pm. We made it inside the building at 5:31pm and the lady at the tremonton location closed the printer and told us we were out of luck since we were 1 minute past 5:30pm. She also told us that the Logan location DID let her know that we were coming and she still chose to close it and not help us at 5:31pm. This was extremely frustrating because we still made the trip with our newborn and toddler to try and get the birth certificate because we were told the tremonton location was notified that we were coming. They were notified and the lady at tremonton chose to not help us at 5:31pm.

I truly cannot say enough about this facility and the outcome we experienced with our mom. When she arrived, providers in the emergency room and even at the Marian Center believed she had dementia. She was hallucinating, paranoid, emotional, and exhibiting nearly every concerning symptom imaginable. The prescribers at the Marian Center are truly exceptional. They safely transitioned our mom off Klonopin, which she had been taking for over 20 years and never thought she could stop, and placed her on the right medication. The change has been life-changing. It feels like we finally got our mother back after losing her for the last decade. After just two weeks of care, she emerged clearer, healthier, and happier than she has been in 20 years. She does not have dementia, and today she is only taking one small pill a day. We couldn’t be more grateful. This facility works tirelessly to manage care thoughtfully and find the right treatment plan for each individual. If you are considering help for a loved one, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Graduated February 2022. No need to beat a dead horse, this place is twisted and leaves no room for suggestion. The therapists are insanely set in their ways and believe that they are infallible, but they are far from it. Turning kids against each other to “teach them a lesson” ruins relationships, and the attempts to make students care about such trivial wrongdoings (in the eyes of the therapists and “mentors”, of course) distorted many of my worldviews and made me lose my sense of self for a long time post graduation. If there were any positives, it would be all of the time spent exercising and the time to myself, but nobody needs 9-18 months of that. Don’t send your child to treatment. Be understanding, be patient, be loving, and be an actual parent. I relapsed after leaving and natural consequences were the reason that I got sober. Treatment centers in Utah are a sick attempt at creating uniform morality, and the people that run them are smart enough to know that they likely won’t succeed. They just want your money. Again, just be a parent.

Staff recycles a lot. They violated HIPAA, then the doctor quit and they “say” they left a voicemail, but I verified with my carrier, they did not. I only have voicemails from my mother. I am disgusted and now in a lurch. I wouldn’t send my enemy there.

Worst detox center around, they were so mean and constantly tried to make an issue with me and have me get mad. My father had to leave and go to another detox center because of how rude they were being to him, my dad is physically unwell and they didn’t care or respond to him at all, how are you volunteering but you’re making the patients want to leave. I hated how I heard them speaking to my dad and others, the girl or guy, whatever it was on the phone was being disrespectful and made my dad feel like shit at one of his worst moments, don’t take anybody you love here, it sucks. No professionalism or care for the men at this facility at all!

They are not client friendly. They were slow to respond (over TWO months of me calling to get someone to call me back) and I feel as they didn't know what they were talking about when scheduling things, passed from person to person. I TRIPLE checked with them that services would be covered and they responded yes our insurance would cover my son's diagnosis. TWO months later I am hit with a HUGE bill and being told our insurance is not covering it. They waited till it has now almost gone to collections to let me know that I have to pay with no time to get the funds.

Charged me $30 for an appointment that took place over a year and a half ago. When it takes your company that long to get your books in order, you should be calling your clients and let them know what’s going on. Not just sending out bills willy nilly. Extremely frustrating to work with. no discount offered when I called to get this resolved either. Unprofessional.

I can't say enough good about AVY counseling. Having found myself on the wrong end of a divorce in Utah County, with protective orders issued, I began taking these courses proactively. I signed up for Parenting Course, Individual Counseling, and Domestic Violence course (which I think would be better coined as an Emotional Regulation course). The ability to do all of these courses online was incredibly helpful, and the communication about times, methods, and course material was spot on. They took care of billing my insurance and followed up with all billing matters in a professional manner. The instructors are highly-skilled, caring, patient, and helpful. I was very grateful for this option. Beth and Carli - I'll miss you both, thank you for everything.

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Psychiatric Behavioral Solutions. I reached out for therapy and basic medication management for depression and anxiety. While I was upfront about a history of alcohol dependency, I was clear that I was not seeking addiction treatment. Despite this, I was rejected as a patient because they “don’t specialize in addiction,” and I was referred to rehab facilities—which I didn’t need or ask for.

They sent a response in regards to my review but did nothing... they are still in prehistoric treatment... I don't recommend them. They only believe in chemical imbalance meds and alcohol meds. Dr. Newman sucks. They don't help with medical Marijuana, comfort animals, or alternative meds, like Xanax... Dr. Newman didn't show compassion or understanding. Steve, ( Steve is head of this fraud business)I will be seeing you in court to pay my insurance and me back, unless you truly make this right... I hope you work with me, cause I believe in peace. But, if not, you'll get justice...

My daughter participated in both individual therapy and the teen IOP program at Reach Counseling. We were deeply concerned to learn that information shared in her individual therapy sessions could be accessed by the director of the IOP program. The director even confirmed to me that they had the ability to review notes from all of her individual sessions. This was especially troubling because the individual therapy and the IOP program were presented as separate services. If the therapy had been part of the IOP, shared access might have been expected, but that was not the case here. This lack of clear boundaries and confidentiality significantly damaged my daughter’s trust in her therapist, ultimately leading us to seek care elsewhere. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as maintaining clear and respectful boundaries between programs is essential for building trust and supporting effective treatment.

READ THIS BEFORE THEY SCREW YOU Before you sign up with these people, and if you’re doing classes for probation, ask your probation officer if they have any free classes which they do because I did them. These guys will do an assessment and then randomly decide to give you like 40 classes that you have to do and each class is $50 so you can do the math. I told aces I can’t afford their classes because it’s outrageous and they threatened to drop me which they did and they didn’t give me a refund or nothing. They screwed me out of $1000 and that’s a lot of money in this economy. SCAM SCAMSTAY AWAY STAY AWAY. when I left aces to do the free classes, I only had to do like 10 so I don’t know why ace’s would give me 37 classes other than they just wanna make money off of me which is scummy. Shame on you aces I’d give you zero stars.

Terrible experience with this counseling service. Lack of communication, no treatment plan established, takes forever to respond to emails/text messages and to me it just felt like the therapy was being dragged out more than it had to be. Charged me for time that wasn’t even related to my son and I. The billing department is a joke also. Ridiculous. Will not be recommending this company, as will the therapist that recommended it to me.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Utah?
When comparing providers in Utah, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Utah?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Utah?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Utah providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Utah providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
