My fiancé came here because her blood pressure was 228/126 — numbers so high they should’ve had a nurse sprinting like it was the Olympics. Her appointment was at 2:45. Thanks to the legendary, always‑present, always‑miserable Bitter Creek construction, we walked in at 2:50. Five minutes. Not “we showed up after lunch.” Not “we wandered in at closing.” Five. Apparently, this place operates on a level of punctuality that even NASA would find excessive. They took one look at a woman whose blood pressure could power a pressure washer and said, “Oh, you’re five minutes late? Yeah, we can’t possibly handle that. Let’s push you out a whole week. Hope you don’t explode before then.” Truly inspiring healthcare. I work in customer service. I deal with late people every day. I don’t punish them for traffic, construction, or the rotation of the Earth. But here? This clinic must be running on a strict zero‑humanity policy. No grace period. No understanding. No common sense. Just a robotic “reschedule” like they’re checking in overdue DVDs from 1998. If you plan on coming here, make sure you leave your house at sunrise, pack a lunch, bring a sleeping bag, and maybe hire a police escort — because if you’re five minutes late, they’ll treat you like you showed up three days after your own funeral. But hey, at least they’re consistent: No compassion. No flexibility. No problem telling a dangerously hypertensive patient to come back next week. My thoughts are they suck and are not compassionate at all just after the all mighty dollar. I apologize because I really didn’t plan on leaving a review, but couldn’t help myself with this bunch of clowns pretending to be medical providers.

The entire staff was amazing. Robert, Destiny, Chelsey, Marshal, Blake, Amanda, Melissa, all the nurses, practitioners, guest speakers, chefs, and anyone I have inadvertently missed not on purpose. Compassionate is the key word. Unconditional love to suffering sick patients that aren’t always the easiest to deal with. Yet they are patient and understanding meeting each of us uniquely where we are at on our journey. I could not give them any higher praises!

I recently visited GetWellNow Walk-In Clinic, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. The clinic was clean and well-organized, which immediately put me at ease. The medical team was incredibly attentive and took the time to listen to my concerns. They provided a thorough examination and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I appreciated their professionalism and genuine care for my health. I was in and out quickly, which is a huge plus for a walk-in clinic. Plus, they offer convenient hours, making it easy to get the care I needed without the hassle of scheduling an appointment. If you’re looking for a reliable and friendly walk-in clinic, I highly recommend GetWellNow. They truly prioritize patient care, and I left feeling much better!

I wanted to give a higher rating but honestly, I don't feel like it's deserved anymore. I went to them for help a couple years ago when I ran out of options. At first, it was great. I had no insurance and they treated me very well. But as soon as I got insurance, everything went into the toilet. Less friendly staff, less than 20 minutes with a counselor, and no warnings when my doctors were not going to be available on the day of my appointments. More than once, I was turned away because they weren't there and when I spend more time in my car than in the office, this hurts. Waiting a month for a 15-20 minute talk about the COUNSELOR'S life when I'd just lost my mother was the last straw. I will not be back and I don't suggest anyone go to this facility. The ONLY person who cared about me and my mental health was the person prescribing my medicines. Shameful.

This is such an amazing concept and I’m so excited to see it grow and help our community. The staff is empathetic, non-judge-mental and it is a very relaxed environment. The intake process is quick and easy, your vitals are taken and then you’re escorted to an open room with recliners, tables with puzzles and books and a tv playing relaxing music. You can relax and the therapist and Dr come to you, ensuring that your individual needs are met and safety is maintained. They provide snacks, basic toiletries and scrubs to change into if you shower. EMPATH is the perfect option for someone in crisis that wishes to avoid to the ER or inpatient stays. 10/10.

I only clicked one star so I could comment, but in truth this place doesn't deserve the one. They changed one of my sisters medications for no reason. She was doing fine and was absolutely 0 reasons for changing it. It was changed to a medication that you do not prescribe to elderly, especially ones with history of dementia, hypertension, and stroke, which my sister fits all listed, yet it was prescribed anyway. When the side effects appeared almost immediately after her being administered this new medication the one that prescribed it refused to listen and spoke over the verbal complaints with the attitude of I dare you to question me because of her title,( the my way or the highway type attitude person) Now my sister is

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Tennessee?
When comparing providers in Tennessee, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Tennessee?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Tennessee?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Tennessee providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Tennessee providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
