The staff is clearly uneducated in medication. The nurse kept saying seroquel was a sleep medication. When it was questioned about the dosage and why she stated "it is a sleep aide". Yucky attitude. Doctors see patients by tele-med not in person. Asked nurse the doctors name she stated didn't know and never gave the name. They need to realize that this is a difficult time for patients and family members. They need to become educated on medication and dosage. If being admitted please consider looking for a place that has more knowledge for your loved ones sake.

If you're poor and homeless this is the place to go but if you have an established prescriptions they will take you off of them. They are very intrusive and expect you to spend most of your day talking to their people that can't get on the same page and get things done correctly and smoothly like any other place I've been to OSU/OU like I said they are very intrusive they will come to your house 8: 00am in the morning no warning.

I don’t recommend for seeking counseling services for children. My son and I met with Nicole on 2 separate occasions. It was made very clear of my intent to seek counseling services for my son. We weren’t able to get through the second meeting due to her pressing her personal parental beliefs, views, thoughts and opinions into the session. It was also explained that my son was literal very literal and would answer questions as he was asked. She asked straightforward questions and was given straightforward answers. She was asking questions regarding the current time but was needing info on entire life time apparently. She actually began telling him he needed to be honest while speaking with her which I found incredibly disrespectful. The meeting took a turn to where she became passively aggressive toward us both and she told me I could end the meeting at any time. This was all after we were left waiting in the waiting room due to an impromptu staff meeting that apparently only she was apart of. Due to staffing changes, an ultrasound she had yesterday and more personal issues and views she brought into the assessment session for counseling services of an 11 year old boy.

This line is doing more damage than it is help the representatives are disrespectful and don’t have compassion in their heart. They don’t listen. They talk back and they are more danger to the community with their arrogance. It’s a shame what the world has come to, and then they have the nerve to have a recording to say they wanna help they do care and that’s not true. They make me feel like every time I call that even roadkill is beneficial to destiny swap with this number is trash I was told it was for counseling and being able to talk in vent then they want to change a manipulated and say for the suicide hotline I thought that was what 911 was for They keep changing information for more sinister agenda, and that’s all I have to say about my opinion… It’s hard to do good business with universe that never liked the diversity of everybody’s culture…

While I give all credit to Dr. Tabor for being a PHENOMENAL individual, an expert in his field, I can no longer recommend this office. I quit utilizing this office over a year ago due to the staff members being rude, inconsistent and canceling my appointments for all sorts of silly reasons. In addition to the office abruptly dropping all insurance, further solidifying my leave, now I'm receiving bills for treatment that I have not received. I've been unable to reach anyone about it via phone call or email. It's incredibly sad to me that other people might be missing out on having such an outstanding individual on their cases due to the negligent and uncouth behaviors of the office staff left in charge.

You know. I was here along time ago. Back in may 2023 when I was 13. And I’ll tell y my it felt like home. I mean some people were acting up. Most of the staff are nice like Mr Morice(I think thats his name) The food was consumable so it was good. You had a lot of time on your hands. Wasn’t to boring. And the night time staff Mr James was so cool and nice. I felt comfortable talking about my feelings and emotions. As long as you did what you did what you’re supposed to, you’ll be okay. This place is a real good place when I went. It just matters on new staff and new patients. It also brings back so much memories. If I could go back I would but nah.

So I went there a few weeks ago and the staff was extremely weird and rude (first off I will be name dropping because I don't care and I don't like them so yea) but anyways back to what I was saying basically this girl named Maria she goes on these rats daily basically saying how we chose to be here and how it's our fault for being mentally ill and if you have a ED they do not care if there is certain things that you cannot eat they will just give you a protein shake and recently I went and basically they say if you don't eat your lunch or your dinner you don't get snack which normally is sweet stuff but children like sweet things but it can also be fruit which I think a lot of children do like so basically if you have been eating disorder you will not be eating you will be drinking the protein shake if you cannot have the certain things that they do cook I do not remember the doctor's name but the first time that I went I was 11 years old and I stayed there for 2 weeks because I needed the help but basically they were just telling me that I needed to get over it and I needed to hurry up my treatment And again with the Maria girl she constantly tells you that the doctor is going to ask you questions about coping skills and what GNATS You are having when she doesn't she doesn't care this does not help your child at all this just is simply like a boot camp for them basically just teaching them stuff that isn't really important You have to wear other people's clothes other people's socks and as a African American girl they give you these little little tubs of shampoo body gel which is just shampoo it's the same exact thing I swear and a little bit of conditioner that is all you get and then they don't give you a different calm than what is given to you but they have other ones and they hardly give out lotion so you're going to be looking ashy all the time and PSA if you do have prescription medication that you need to take they are not going to give it to you until you are out And then that's whenever your parents or legal guardian will give it to youoverall this place is a really crappy place please do not send your children here (sorry one thing that I did forget to mention if you do not eat your food and you only eat a little bit of it and you look very skinny they are going to assume and they are going to either put their foot in the door if not they're going to stand inside of the bathroom with you as you shower or as you use the restroom to make sure that you are not throwing up your food which I can understand but yet again why are you letting children that might have eating disorders go to the bathroom for other mental facilities because I have also gone to cedar ridge which was a very much different experience that is a good facility to take your kids to but again they have a 30 minute wait list for you to go to the bathroom after you eat and Red Rock also they keep you in your rooms pretty much all day and only getting you out of your room for eating, groups or if you ask to come out of your room to get something then you are always in your room) but from experience please do that send your children here there are so many different mental facilities that you could take your kid to like I said earlier cedar ridge Parkside those are really good facilities in my opinion please please do not send your children here Red Rock is not the place for child or for anyone in fact please do not send your child here.

This is probably the worst place you can end up if you are in a mental health crisis. I was incarcerated here (i say incarcerated because it truly felt like prison) for two weeks in 2023, and then for 2 additional weeks next door at Griffin…and the differences were apparent immediately once i arrived in the Griffin unit.

The actual Dr we see is fine, but the scheduling is a nightmare. With the med clinic alone, the past two appointments we’ve waited for over 30 min only to be told the provider wasn’t even there. Nobody bothered to call me to tell me the appointment was canceled. I had taken off work for both of these. With the counseling appointments, there have also been multiple times we had appts scheduled at the wrong clinic or they made appts for my child without even telling me, then called mad that I didn’t show up. It’s a total disaster. My daughter has also had to start over with several different therapists due to staff turnover. It’s hard for her to keep retelling her story over and over. My daughter needs her meds or I would not keep dealing with the frustration.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. It does not even deserve one star. Finally getting the courage to post this. NEVER go here. It does NOT help your mental health. I was FORCED here wrongfully by the hospital I went to where they lied on my name and said I said things that I did NOT say. Once I got there, to my surprise, you are in ONE big room with men AND woman. You sleep in recliners. You just get watched and judged while you are there. I believe everything happens for a reason and I believe the only reason I was sent here was to help OTHERS out at this place and show them there are people that do actually care. Other than that, this place did me no good. The therapist that I had seen during the day HUNG THE PHONE UP on my grandmother because I told her to get our lawyer and the police up here because they basically kidnap you. She hung the phone up and said "we won't be doing that." Then when I was crying from being upset she told me "You can't go home like this, you are very unstable." ALL over crying. You are forced to be a zombie basically. Nothing more, nothing less. No emotions, the better, other than being happy. This place is not good for anybody at all. I had to FAKE it till I made it to get out of there. Once I realized how to play their game, I did. No crying, make sure you eat, make sure you attend "group," act like you love it SOOO much there, do as they say, etc, etc. I watched them laugh and pick fun at the patients. I watched people being pinned to the wall and injected with GOD knows what all because she needed her insulin and y'all would not give it to her. I could go on and on and on and on but truly that should be enough to give just a SMALL insight on how this place truly is. There was a select few that you could tell actually did care about their job and their patients, but 98% of them were there for a check. I am still to this day traumatized in fear that they can just come get me anytime they please. If they were able to keep me in there against my will, whose to say they can't come back and get me? Truly and forever traumatized. This is a place for no one and I pray every night for the people that are in there.

Horrible. I was seeking therapy for severe anxiety, PTSD, severe depression associated with BPD. Everything seemed off somehow. When you walk in, the receptionist may or may not be there. And when walking with your therapist, it sounds, feels like there's no other people in the building receiving therapy. Never got to see a psychiatrist

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Oklahoma?
When comparing providers in Oklahoma, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Oklahoma?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Oklahoma?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Oklahoma providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Oklahoma providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
