Echota Behavioral Health

Echota Behavioral Health in Tahlequah, Oklahoma is a tribally owned outpatient behavioral health clinic operated by the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians. Open to both tribal and non-tribal community members, the clinic provides accessible, culturally competent mental health and addiction recovery services to individuals of all ages across Northeastern Oklahoma. Since opening in 2020, the organization has focused on strengthening community wellness through compassionate, person-centered care designed to promote resilience, stability, and long-term recovery.

The Tahlequah location offers outpatient services including individual therapy, group therapy, case management, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, methadone maintenance, and telehealth support. A multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, physicians, nurse practitioners, licensed therapists, case managers, and peer recovery specialists collaborates to deliver integrated care tailored to each client’s needs. Treatment incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based practices to address depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorder, anger issues, and co-occurring disorders. CARF-accredited with a three-year reaccreditation, Echota Behavioral Health demonstrates a strong commitment to quality improvement, accountability, and measurable outcomes while expanding access to behavioral health care throughout the region.
