This Office has helped me in ways I can’t even begin to explain. I was hesitant at first about “therapy” and in a group setting it was not something I would usually sign myself up for, however with the help of Chris Sapp I have overcome so many obstacles and opened myself up with my own personal hardships with the rest of my group. I’m very thankful of the support group that I have now and I can always count on Chris! Even though he has so many people that he sees every day, he takes time to make sure everyone knows that he is your #1 cheerleader. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help and support from this office!

I called the hotline years ago while dealing with a lot and got hooked up with Jenny Billings in therapy. It’s been 3 years and she is amazing. Jenny always makes me feel so much better and lets me feel my feelings in a safe place without judgement. I can ask her if I’m being unreasonable in my thought process and get an honest answer and she gives me space to self reflect and grow. 10/10 Recommend therapy & med management with Teresa too. ❤️

I can’t say enough good things about CRCI . From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, supported, and truly cared for. The staff genuinely live out their faith through compassion, patience, and understanding. They don’t just focus on recovery — they focus on healing the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. The faith-based approach made a powerful difference in my journey. The combination of professional guidance, biblical teaching, and a strong sense of community created an environment where real transformation can happen. I never felt judged, only encouraged and uplifted. If you or a loved one is looking for a recovery program grounded in Christian values, love, and accountability, I highly recommend this center. It truly is a place of hope and new beginnings.

My mom attends group three days a week at Brighter Start and it has truly been wonderful—it has genuinely changed our life. I also want to point out something incredibly thoughtful that meant so much to me. Andrea, the lab lady, surprised all of them with the cutest Valentine’s Day goodie bags filled with candy and a little toy, and she took the time to write each of them an individual, personal note. My mom has never had someone care in that way before. The compassion and kindness here make all the difference, and we are so grateful to be a part of this program

During my Stay here, I want to share my experience. Overall, my care was good, and I appreciate the efforts of many of the staff who checked on me and made sure I was as comfortable as possible during a stressful time. The nurses ( Ms. Niecey and her team) were attentive and kind, and they took time to explain things to me when I had questions. I also want to recognize the doctors for their professionalism and for addressing my concerns. There were moments when communication and wait times could have been improved, especially when trying to get updates or answers. At times I felt unsure about what was happening next in my care plan. However, I do appreciate the compassion shown by several staff members who helped me feel more at ease during my stay. Being in the hospital is never easy, but certain people truly made a difference in my experience. Overall, I would say my experience was fair to good, with both positive care and areas that could be improved, especially in communication and timeliness.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in North Carolina?
When comparing providers in North Carolina, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in North Carolina?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in North Carolina?
Yes. Mental Health US includes North Carolina providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all North Carolina providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
