Mental Health Providers in Albuquerque, New Mexico

I would never recommend this place to anyone, it is very unprofessional! I am a care coordinator, so I work with multiple clinics around the city and I have never found anything more unprofessional and unorganized than Counseling World! They cancelled and rescheduled my client's appointment twice without notifying us prior to the change. From the first I called, I should have known this facility would provide poor services, as they don't have an online system for intake paperwork. Also, while I was on the phone with them, being informed on needing to be in-person to fill out paperwork, the receptionist started talking to someone in the office mid-conversation. After being scheduled out for months, my client never once saw a therapist! The first excuse they gave for the reschedule was because the scheduler was out because of a surgery, so I understood the possible mix up, but for it to happen again is ridiculous! I even called them the week before to double confirm the time, day, and if the appointment was in person and they still moved the appointment without informing me or my client!

Went in yesterday morning because I need a tooth pulled and I dont have insurance and im broke unfortunately. They took me in and gave me an exam and have me set up for an appointment tomorrow. So grateful hopefully this procedure goes well

Honestly a waste of time and energy wish I could give zero stars for how unaccompanied they are. They do not treat you like a human and they make you feel guilty for stating you don’t have an addiction when you don’t and basically do what they can to make you seem like a bad person . Was court ordered to go to classes while I was also seeing a therapist outside of this and they make you seem like you have an insane drug habit. It’s ver dehumanizing especially when I didn’t have a history for drug usage. They always talk about you relapsing and they are very condescending and take advantage of the fact they have power over you. Will not work with your schedule and will blame you for not being able to consistently take off work for something they chose to “diagnose” you with. I hope they can take a look at why they are really doing this. Because it’s not for the betterment of the client. It’s all to feed their egos.

Should have a monitor for the free clothes so someone doesn't take all of them regardless if they put or not there was a whole pile and the women in front of me took them all very rude u should remember u aren't the only one that needs clothes others are in need too don't be greedy

Beware - Sage is terrible about keeping appointments, returning calls, and providing service! My spouse went to Sage to be treated for depression, both medication management and therapy. They contacted Sage in November of 2024 and it is currently March of 2025. My spouse has YET to have received a therapy appointment that was kept. Therapy appointments were made, after a lot of nagging and calling on my spouse's part and were never kept. Sometimes, they were cancelled the day of, sometimes my spouse would show up and find out they were cancelled. Let me say again: my spouse is four months into their depression treatment with Sage and has NEVER had a therapy appointment that was kept. No one at Sage has ever followed up to try to reschedule these appointments that THEY cancelled. My spouse always has to call. It's shocking how unprofessional that is. We finally gave up on therapy through Sage and are looking for other options.
