This office originally got a 5 star review from me but that was when I had an amazing physician Dana. Unfortunately Dana left to work at the VA clinic and then the office brought in the WORST DOCTOR I have ever been to. Eric Weeks is a complete joke as a “doctor”. He has no bed side manner. He does NOT care for his patients. He has “diagnosed” me wrong even AFTER I told the man exactly what was wrong with me. His pride wouldn’t allow him to be wrong. Get rid of this quack so that your office can be a good place for the community to come get health care again.

I was really surprised to see these negative reviews, my experience has been great with, all employees, I don't feel like I want or need to make friends with other addicts, so I stay to myself and dose and go home, the counselor and I talk once a week virtually and she's great! If you are needing help please don't let these reviews detour you . I'm really glad I didn't read them before I went. I have no problem w the place , the Dr. Has a good sense of humor and the girls at the front desk are very sweet and helpful.

i’ve been to this location twice now, every time i was treated with respect and kindness. however, the facilitators really lacked keeping things on track and i noticed that both times i was here. rodney was amazing and genuinely one of the only facilitators i felt that actually gave me proper help and support. Amy is an amazing psychiatrist, she’s attentive and helpful and explains everything in a way that is digestible to me. Dr V was amazing and also very attentive and knowledgeable and was the first dr to acknowledge my OCD. the outpatient therapy was lackluster to put it gently. my old therapist forgot i quit my job within a matter of two sessions, two weeks apart. forgot key information that was in my medical records pertaining to my ptsd diagnosis. and that was after ~6 months of weekly - biweekly therapy sessions. i’m not naming who it was because i feel she could be genuinely helpful for someone who needs skills in CBT/DBT therapy but she was not it for me. jake and david were both amazing therapists for me during the partial hospitalization program however both their caseloads are full at this time. amy and dr. v are both amazing psychiatrists and i’ve never felt more seen/heard than i did with them. i will be referring my friends and family to either of them for outpatient psychiatric treatment.. super thankful for the opportunity and support the partial hospitalization program offered me both times, i just wish that things were more organized rather than several tangents happening at once, and i wish that there were more therapists available like jake and david who truly helped and understood me in such a short period of time. some things definitely need to be changed, but overall this place saved my life both times and saved me the trauma and stress of a full hospitalization.

Staff is super nice but they make a lot of promises they don't keep. They lost all my personal things that came with me but the thing that bothered me the most is the fact that they take all of your food stamps while you're in there, don't tell you till you've been there a month or so and when I left they took almost all that months food stamps and I was only there for a week out of the month, leaving me with no food for quite a while. They claim they don't do that but they definitely do. Not to mention that half of the food is donated and some is outdated. I witnessed two RT's get into an all out brawl, with threats of violence and accusations of drug use -it was crazy!

They are closing the autism center and 0 plans to help all these children after they close down. Absolute joke of any kind of institution, after all these people relying on the help we need for our kids and to suddenly close. Wouldn't recommend seeking help from Pines in any type of way. If you have a Autistic child I would recommend moving to Indiana or a bigger city. No help in Branch Co.

This facility is, by far, the best in Michigan for mental health services. Something they offer that I've never received before was a case manager. Helps schedule appointments, checks in every month, arranges appropriate services based on what is most helpful to you, and provides resources on absolutely anything you may need. My case manager Abby even offered to help me on miscellaneous tasks such as going through/organizing paper stacks, basically anything you can think of, they are willing to help you with at the office. Case manager Abby even picked up clothing donations for my children as we had fallen on hard times. She has so many resources and she's been like an angel helping me manage things to make it easier on me so I can focus on therapeutic work. It's quite amazing the service I've received from Easter Seals. The psychiatrist, Dr. Linsk, is the most knowledgeable and caring doctor I've ever had. He takes time at every appointment to listen to me. He keeps up to date on the latest research. He's even been the first to give me new diagnosises that go beyond generalized anxiety, depression, ect. As for therapy, I had the pleasure of meeting the best therapist I've ever had, Emma. Emma has since left as she was an intern, however, my success story continued as I met my next therapist. I've been to at least 6 other mental health centers and I've never been given any other therapy besides basic CBT talk therapy. My first meeting with the new therapist, I tell her I've been working on this same issue for 10 years, she selflessly said she'd like me to try another therapist who is trained in Exposure Therapy as it may be a better help for me. That other therapist came right in to the room with us, talked, and we all agreed to try this and that I can go back to regular therapy after completion. They even offer group therapy but I've not used that service. The therapists here are young and fresh and are educated on the latest research. They have a drive of providing quality care that I've never experienced before. The whole office is the top standard of mental health services. My only adverse experiences have come from the front desk. I am aware of how hard it is to deal with patients at the front desk. They always have to handle the problems and are looked to for a solution. I've witnessed patients not speaking very kindly to the ladies at the front desk, however, I have a few issues with them myself. Any time I come into the office, I wait at the counter behind glass while nobody acknowledges my presence. I listen to their personal stories as the whole waiting room can hear them. Someone from the back usually pops in after me standing in front of the window for 5 minutes and finally assist me. I've been forgotten to be checked in twice. I've had therapists calling me from inside their office to ask if I was coming today as I was in the waiting room well on time. Front desk is probably one of the toughest and lowest paying jobs at the center, however the front desk needs a lot of guidance because their quality does not match the quality of the whole office. The front desk staff brings the whole office score down and I hope to see that change in the future because the front desk is the first encounter for most clients. A lot of people who will benefit from this location may be deterred because of the mishaps. But overall, best service in Michigan. I don't understand the negative reviews as I feel the complete opposite. Especially since I've been told and feel comfortable asking for a change in therapists or doctors if I'm not finding a good fit. Therapy works both ways. I'm sure with the quality mental health providers, you will find a good match. I'm so thankful to have found this location and I encourage others looking for quality care to reach out for assistance. This may just be the last road to recovery of your mental health you'll need to walk. They provide so much support. I don't know how they do it all! Thank you. You've all been angels in my life! :)

I was paired with a therapist that wanted me to read a book and discuss it with them. Then they took a different position and wanted me to see a different therapist. I quit. I returned later to get a new therapist. Rachel helped me the most out of all the therapist I've ever seen to date. Rachel informs me that she is changing location. I tried to follow but no I get a new therapist. Insurance ended so I never saw the new therapist but it's crazy that I couldn't continue to see the one person who was actually helping me. I would have worked on reapplying for the insurance again had I been able to stay with the one person that was helping me.

My wife went there because she was at a law in her life and feeling very depressed. She was hooked on opioids due to a doctor prescribing her them for three years and seek help here. After they admitted her they treated her like a prisoner. She has two major underlying health conditions that both me and her mother called and expressed to them several times. They brushed both of us off until she lost a total of 30 pounds. I finally had to call our governor and several health officials to get her the treatment that she needed please do your research before you send somebody here our experience was the worst we’ve ever had and I feared for her life in there

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Michigan?
When comparing providers in Michigan, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Michigan?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Michigan?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Michigan providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Michigan providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
