Find Mental Health Providers Across Kansas

My daughter was being treated by a therapist named Tandie in Fort Scott location. She was wonderful. Then another therapist, named Janderon, decided that my daughter should stop seeing Tandie and move into her home and date her son. This is a dual relationship. It violates the code of ethics for her profession. BEWARE!!!

Front desk staff very rude and unprofessional, I hate that this is court ordered and I have to deal with these rude ladies up front...cuts me off when I try to speak, snatching my i.d out my hand and handing back with attitude and didn't get my questions answered...so much for this being a helpful mental health place when they hire the rudest people upfront

I can relate to every review that is posted . My question is what exactly does bernash do? Besides have a person come visit you at home? I won't compound the existing BN issues w what happened in my case . It's not worth it. Nobody once spoke to me as in they were sorry or apologetic for the execution of lack of services. Excuses , excuses and more excuses.

This facility’s negligence nearly cost my partner his life. Despite knowing he was due for an appointment, staff turned him away, claiming he wasn’t on the schedule. This total failure of care triggered a severe psychotic episode that put him in immediate danger and left our family traumatized. It is irresponsible for a mental health provider to be this careless. I had to manage a life-threatening crisis alone because this office refused to do its job. This isn't the first time they’ve messed up, and they must be held accountable before their incompetence leads to a tragedy.

This is a fantastic place to live for residents and it’s a nice family vibe and home for a wide variety of ages middle age to Elder to. Overall nice place and faculty and people who care for the residents of this home no

I've been going here on and off for the past decade. It's true they have new and aggravating approaches to getting people in but if they can't find new employees to help more people it's not really their fault. Front desk has been pretty easy to talk with. If you're patient and make connections with the right people within the facility things usually go better with staff and doctors you work with here. It's not just on them to make your mind right you have to do it also and not use one source as primary care. They use to have an online app that made it really easy to contact your care team but can't seem to find it any place on the android play store anymore which sucks because you don't always think of everything to ask on a phone call.

I didn’t want to give any stars but you have to- to leave a review. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I called on April 23rd to make an emergency appointment for my daughter and they told me they could see her June 3rd??. I told them she needed to be seen way sooner than that and that is was very unrealistic for anyone to wait over a month to be seen for an EMERGENCY appointment. The receptionist told me she was going to chat with my daughters daughter and call me back- I did not get a call back so I called again the next day and explained the situation again and that I did not get a call back and she still needed to be seen asap. Once again I was told she pile call me back and guess what?? They didn’t call me back. You cannot be a mental health office and not call someone back twice in a row. So I called back money and I won’t lie I was not nice when I talked to the receptionist because for the third time I was explaining that she needed to be seen and I had called twice and never received a call back. She scheduled her for that Wednesday at 2:00 after I hung up I realized that Wednesday wasn’t going to work cause I had something else I had to be at so I called back and asked if they had something else for the week and she told me she could get her in the following day at 2:00. We show up to the appointment and they tell us our appointment isn’t until the next day at 2:00 and I explained that I had called back and one of the receptionist changed it to 2:00 that day. To make a long story short they ‘accepted’ her appointment and seen her. After speaking to the provider And getting things worked out with new medication she asked me if I wanted to make a follow up appointment and I told her no we already had an appointment for May 27th. She told me she did not see any follow up appointment in our file. She offered to email the front desk and I told her no as I wanted to talk to them myself. We walked to the front desk and I ask the receptionist. If she had us down for May 27 for our follow up appointment that we made over a month ago that I also have the reminder car that they wrote out the appointment. She told me there was no appointment in our file, but she could schedule us for a follow up appointment while we were there. By this point I was completely done and fed up with them not communicating and not doing their job. She did make a follow up appointment, but we are currently looking for a new place to go that is more professional and communicates better with each other and their patients. Before anyone comes at me, I understand that mistakes happen but this was one thing after another and you cannot be a mental health place and not call someone back when they are trying to schedule an emergency appointment of all things AND mess up appointments like they did. I feel sorry for anyone that goes to this place while they’re having a mental health crisis because they will not get the treatment and attention they need for it.

I've been a patient here for 14 years but, despite that, cannot recommend this place.

Came to these people in mental crisis. Enrique was the first I spoke to. I'll never forget how compassionate and understanding he was. He also called me to try to get me in earlier than my scheduled appointment. I see Katelynn (I'm terrible at names and probably misspelled her name, 😐) She is Wonderful. Very empathic, compassionate and such a good listener. I know I haven't been easy to deal with. I'm not having an easy time dealing with me and everything around me.. but Katelynn is helping me. For everyone that I've encountered there, they have been so very nice to me. Even when I wasn't being so nice to be around. For me, this place, Enrique, Katelynn and the rest of the people I've encountered, has been a Godsend.

I experienced a therapist fraudulently call dcf and making faulse reports that where not even said in therapy. Pretty sure thats ILLIGAL. My son told the therapist that he cant get seconds at school anymore. Mind you they eat lunch everyday!!! I explained $2.60 a kid when you have 3 of them getting seconds every day adds up. And I needed to use that extra I was paying the school for meals at home and can have snacks ready when they come home instead. She asked if we had enough food and i made a face because i was thinking to myself dont have a sweet snack foods, and didnt really get to get that out. She called dcf saying I had NO food in my home. We'll when they showed up I had 2 full deep freezers, 1 almost full fridge, 1 full freezer , 5 cabnets almost packed full, and fruits and vegtables on the counter. Maybe not a lot of sweet snack foods because we are mainly a ingredient house hold and encourage the kids to eat left overs. So our words where manipulated and our family was forced to deal with (baby snatchers) DCF. I felt she was a great therapist untill this situation. She could have instead actually allowed me to say what i was thinking, Offer resources, and actually listened to what i had to say before changing the subject, or even asked more questions. Want to prevent dealing with DCF in fear of faulse reports dont go to Kanza mental health.

Other residents were really nice but staff were horrible. They treated us like babies and abused their authority. It would honestly take less time to list everything I liked about the place than list everything that made my stay horrible. I stayed there for a long while and the only way to get attention/help that I was there for was to cause a scene and prove that I was mentally ill. Some staff do like to pretend that I was faking whatever struggles I was facing and give me refusals for not being able participate “fully”. Personally I would not recommend.

I like Dr. Crane. Then I told the receptionist I got a job and price for 15 minute zoom video visit skyrocketed to 370 dollars. Am I paying for everybody else too? So going back to my DR. Then I called and asked to cancel appt on 19th. Nurse (she's Anonymous, no name badge, prob also office manager) leaves voicemail saying I went ahead and kept appt on 19th. Also she just says this is the "Nurse" again never saying her name. Now I have to walk over there and get an email saying I do not have any upcoming appointments to avoid almost 800 dollars going on my credit report. I will not be paying them a dime. Go here if you have to only on a temporary basis.

The treatment is abysmal if not non-existent. I was told I was disheveled and then refused the hairbrush I had packed. I asked for menstrual pads and was refused. I asked for the ones I had packed and was told, "that's not going to happen." I was given no medication and threatened with a dose of Haldol when I complained about the staff's attitudes. I was ganged up on and three people came into my room to tell me their story was that I never complained about anything and was making it up. The staff don't care and will intimate you if you point out that they're horrible.

Lots of issues, but not with all the Kingman staff, however several are in need of replacement!!

We are disgusted with the treatment of little Amari, she is a sweet kid, you guys should be ashamed of your self!

Krystal or Crystal, however you spell it, is a receptionist here and she is SO rude!! Everytime I come she always as an attitude with me. Straight face and a bothered tone Everytime I come for an appointment. I wanted to mention, I am Mexican, and everytime a white person comes up to Krystal, she's nice to them. She might be racist. Last time I came I had a new insurance company, so I handed her the card. She snatched it from me, and threw it back at me. Horrible service.
