I do not recommend this place for anything, especially Covid testing. They charged me and my son $100, each, saying that they do not accept our insurance though I know for a fact that they have accepted the same insurance from my co-worker. They put the wrong date on the test result. They do PCR test when I ask them for Rapid test. So when they take the Rapid test, it is done so badly that my son's result comes back negative though we were sure that he would be positive as all his roommates were. I had him tested again at a different urgent care and he WAS positive. Unfortunately this clinic like many others only care to make the most money out of this pandemic and do not care about the test results and accuracy of the tests. Do not go this clinic for anything as they cannot be trusted.

My daughter received services through her school which we were very excited about because of the convenience. That excitement quickly turned to disappointment upon the first meeting with her social worker. Her attitude was very lackluster and seemingly unprofessional. She demonstrated this attitude with my daughter at school as well. My daughter did not enjoy her sessions or have a desire to continue them. There was no follow-up or direction after the final session.

The front desk staff is always so kind, which is honestly rare to find. Mr. Kevin De La Rosa is just as great—he takes the time to listen and always provides helpful information and guidance on the best steps to take for my child. I truly appreciate the care here and would definitely give this place 5 ⭐️!

My wife is involuntary held against her will. Finally I went by and a lady was kind enough to get a medical waiver. It's just so hard not knowing what's going on. Update. My wife had barbiturate in her system when admitted. Pathways injected her with an antipsychotic. I think they did this while she was in shock from date rape. Please check and see 👀 if people use drugs before injecting them. My wife has never done drugs. Now you guys have made her more insane.

Wish I could give it a 0. My wife went there for what was supposed to be 6 months turned into 2 years and all they have done is try to turn my family against me. They keep father's from their children even when the mom is ok with visits. The charge the residents 600 a month to stay there plus they get subsidy from the state for each individual. Please, if u care about your loved ones, find a better place!

Brought in against will for despiteful reasons and was treated as if I had mental issues and put in waiting rooms with people that had severe issues. I heard everything these people had going on mentally, one girl was talking to a nurse in another room about something she did to a dog, I mean absurd and HIPAA violations for sure. The lady at the front desk signed my initials on computer documents I couldn’t even see, another HIPAA violation and very illegal thing to do! I heard people yelling in the back and they said oh they are just watching football, the whole experience was such a traumatizing experience. Staff were rude when asking questions about being there, they didn’t want to be bothered at all, threatening me saying that will make me have to stay. I had no idea of the process (which I asked multiple times) and kept being called to different people not knowing what’s next. They brought a lunch that looked disgusting while I was waiting, didn’t even ask people their likings. The lady said “did you not see the sign out front that said Pinewoods? This is Pinewoods hunny!” I said no I didn’t with the way I was brought in and she said well you will just be hungry and I said I sure will, thanks but I work too hard for that! There is a big guy that sits in the hall way monitoring these people and he thinks he is perfect on his throne with the looks he gives and the attitude. Absolutely rude staff all around at a scary dull place! The staff act as if they need to work in a prison, not with mental patients, I feel bad for admitted patients willingly there or not. Thankfully the doctor saw no fit and released me immediately. Do better Pinewoods!

Edited to add: I must've struck a nerve when I told the "supervisor" that he is clearly only there to collect a paycheck. He wouldn't give me his name or his supervisors name or contact info for the complaint I'm still going to file. Cool your jets you short prince. He sure is a tough lil guy from behind a counter shouting as we walked out 🤏🏼🤏🏼🤏🏼 His screaming echoed through the halls of the advantage location as loudly as his ignorance and incompetence. Please seek help any other way than through Advantage Monroe. This office doesn't care anything about behavioral healthcare. They will NOT help you find any viable resources. My loved one has been stuck for months in this system with no answers, but tons of follow up calls where his questions are ignored. They claim they'll help you, but nothing has actually come to fruition. They won't let him speak to an ACTUAL Doctor even though we've requested multiple times to do so. Behavioral health isn't ignoring your clients needs!!!

I would never recommend this place to anyone in need of mental health services. By far the worst experience I have ever had in my life, you’re better off getting counseling through a church. The therapist caused me more trauma than what I had already been going through and she blew things out of proportion. She didn’t provide appropriate counseling and definitely didn’t respect me. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else because these people do not have your best interest.

This location was by far the worst. The staff wasn’t friendly, didn’t listen, and responded disrespectfully when asked simple questions about scheduling an appointment. Our appointment was to see a doctor in person, once we arrived they notified us our appointment was changed to a virtual appointment. During the visit with the doctor, we were scolded about being late for the appointment. Mind you, we were on time and had to wait to get checked in by their staff. Then when discussing why we were there and what was going on, the doctor didn’t seem concerned or present. He asked a couple of questions and we had to ask him to reference the chart to see which meds worked best from 2021. He never reviewed the patient’s chart during the 18 mins he was “waiting” on us to get In processed. I would recommend the Macon location over this one.

My loved one stayed here & it was awful. You call in to speak with them and get attitude from the receptionist,IF you can get someone to pick up the phone. I called multiple times throughout the day 2days in a row & nobody answered the phone. However when I drove up here (I live an hour away) people were at the front desk laughing ,talking and etc. Before traveling I left messages after messages & nobody returned my calls. Its ridiculous. My loved one also stated it was a horrible experience and she was miserable. They dont accommodate diets even after I called in & spoke go multiple people. It took days before they got the message to the dietitian. Horrible.

The management was AWFUL here. I stayed at the Summit Trail and Mr.Ed was scamming these young adults out of their money! Including me. He demanded that I owe him all of this money and could not communicate properly on why and how…? I decided to move out and he did not do a walk through with me or even gave me the clarity I need for the amount of money that I (owed) But now… 8 months later I find out he gets let go of FOR taking these people’s money. I pray the structure of this program changes. All of the rules they have for these young adults is very unnecessary considering that they take their adult paychecks from their jobs. But yet.. have rules that treat them like they’re in a group home with all minors. The resources they give are very helpful… only if it is coming from a genuine place. I pray more authentic people who actually care for transitioning challenged young adults to a more healthier stable lifestyle. ❤️

Wow, I thought that I was going to finally have the opportunity to be seen and tested. I waited YEARS for this appointment, I was told that everything was set in place. Even on the day of (today), I called the office at 11:08 am before my appointment time to ask about copay and insurance to show prepared. I specifically asked those questions today since time, energy, patience, and money is scarce! Lo, and behold! I'm unable to be seen today due to whomever I spoke to telling me the complete opposite of what I was supposed to hear. Don't waste your time with these people! I wasted so much on this day and had such a bad experience with them that I am convinced everyone is telling the truth in here

I liked my doctor, but it’s incredibly frustrating and basically impossible to do anything from making an appointment (you take the time and date you’re given, or you’ll be playing phone tag for days), asking a simple question (“we’ll leave a note”— I have never received a reply or call back), to requesting a refill (another note left- count on calling back and spending 1 hr+ getting lucky enough to get someone on the line who is capable of helping).

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Georgia?
When comparing providers in Georgia, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Georgia?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Georgia?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Georgia providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Georgia providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
