this place is ridiculous! they refused to admit they submitted the wrong insurance and lied to me multiple times about my co pay. I told them my copay was 75$ and they proceeded to tell me I had a zero $ copay and all these calls are so called recorded but in this case they don not have anything. They keep telling me they did not run the wrong insurance which is bull because I know what my copay was. so now I have a bill of 150$ for them not properly doing their job. I am a single mom just trying to get help, they refused to make me an appointment until i paid this but i live pay check to pay check and I have to save to even make the appointment. if they had done their jobs properly we would not have this problem. they people who work the front desk just simply do not know how to properly do their job and then leaves me with a bill that I cannot pay. unprofessional and liars. The psychiatrist Cassandra Hoffman is awesome and love her but this place needs to be penalized for faulty billing practices and I have already complain to the BBB.

Greatly appreciate the physicians that do amazing work here, however the receptionist needs to be replaced. If you don’t like your job please find another one! Also your fax machine doesn’t work .

My experience of the Refuge was definitely not good for several reasons! One of the biggest things was their protocol in running the program and the dispensing of medications, and how long it takes you to get them, especially when you are first admitted. They’ll change medications on you without letting you know and also change the dosage! Please, please, please do your research if you’re thinking about this place!

If you’re looking from a sign from god to tell you if you should go here. I’m here to tell you save yourself the trauma, if you need a stay somewhere to get you back on track go look somewhere else. This is not a safe, sanitary, establishment. Yes, there are some wonderful therapist here but for any inpatient stay Just Don’t Do it, Don’t Let Your Partner Do it, Don’t let anyone you care about admit themselves here. Please take my advice

This is an abusive facility that willingly gives out fake diagnosis to keep mentally stable people there against their will. There are some real mental health patients there, but some are also pre-determined to get a diagnosis that could discredit them to stand trial. They also violate HIPPA at their discretion. This facility needs to be investigated for medically abducting perfectly sane professionals of the community that have incriminating evidence that anyone refuses to look at.

I was there is a lady covered her face she look like spying on usa i told her too get out my country she was doing assessment and she was telling me why im here i was told her she might need slow she rude like hell i went today on 11/15/2024 at 1pm no one around they are slow need get rid of her she have nasty attitude

I had the displeasure of visiting this facility for a short visit, The patients see a therapist for 5 minutes a day who reads off of a script, the doctor is so busy he barley has enough time to meet with patients. it is a fail on our healthcare system in the united states, the facilities where not clean, there was blood spotted on the wall. Most of the Techs there were amazing and genuinely cared about the well being of the patients where as others did not. Andrew, holly Jessica and hector where absolutely amazing and did exceed their job description. The Water for showers was cold to further distress any of their patients. Overall i think the 1 star review is valid.

Worst place ever to go for help. The staff is rude and verbally abusive. God bless anyone that has to go through this facility. The whole staff needs to be fired. It was a sickening disgusting place and should be shut down.

DO NOT SEND YOUR MINOR CHILDREN HERE. I was desperate to get her help and didn’t think to check reviews prior to taking my daughter here. She’s only been there 3 days and I got a call saying that she eloped and they don’t know where she went. They claim that they tried to keep a visual on her but was unsuccessful. I am 4 hours away and don’t know where my child is. This is the worst place I could have sent my child to. From looking at the reviews it seems that this happens often here.

I’m patient from Dra Albelo for some years. I went to the office do my year check up, the doctor call me to the updates. After that, I receive a bill from the clinic. My insurance is Aetna, and I pay so much for all regular services (blood pressure, mammogram, HPV…) and then I call Aetna and they say the clinic send then a bill with the wrong code, they denied. I called the 18442049926 number to ask about the amount they will charge me. And the bill person says I need to come to the clinic and show the bill. I come to the office and Helen says she cannot do anything. So I call the number again and it’s not working the line. What hell? She says she is not the one responsible for the bills. Who are? The bill line is not working and she don’t know when is going to work again. She don’t know who do I need to look to resolve this. Really? Very very unhappy with this service.

The worse place ever. I do not recommend them for your loved ones. Doing group sessions more than half of there clients are bored out of there minds or Sleeping. They should not call there therapists ... therapists. More like kindergarden teachers, if that. NO MORE CLASS FOR ME.👍

You can't get through to anyone at all and the voice mails is always full.

The organization does not provide assistance to me or anyone else. In my experience, it primarily benefits individuals involved in military conflicts. The process is akin to a puppet show, where individuals are compelled to feign insanity to obtain any form of help. Despite my years of consistent visits, the organization’s assistance has diminished significantly. While they once provided comprehensive support, they now treat me as a mere number, disregarding my individual needs.

My experience with this place is brief. I called on Sept 29 to make an intake appointment with a psych I had looked up on my insurance website. Okay, so despite that (and me wanting telehealth), he is not based out of that location. That’s fine, they’re offering to schedule me with a different doctor for Oct 16. Great. The day comes around and I don’t get a call. Eventually, I call the office. No appointment to be found. They put me on hold, and when they come back they tell me that the doctor is no longer with them, so they’ll have to call me back later to schedule me with a new doctor. Yet, it’s only been two weeks since I scheduled, and they couldn’t even let me know beforehand that my doctor quit? They wasted my time. I would recommend to the owners/office managers to invest in better processes for communicating with and notifying patients.

Was unable to contact Regional Office, for over a month. Each attempt to call would result in the phone ringing for several minutes, until it suddenly disconnects. I have tried at different times of the day, with same bad result. There is no fax number on the site, to confirm.

My daughter has been admitted to this facility 3 times and all three times we have had a bad experience with the Dr's there. I don't believe that this facility is in any way helpful to kids in crisis. The Dr's never have time to speak with the parents and don't care to actually help kids out of crisis. I left a detailed message for the Dr to call me before he saw my daughter and explained my concerns that I wisshed to discuss with him (Dr Matos), and the Dr did not take the time to read the note the nurse left for him on the chart addressed to him. Children are at risk at this facility, they have girls and boys in the same are, one boy even walked in the bedroom and stared at my daughter while she was sleeping, and no one saw him. Needless to say, not the place for kids in crisis.

Called the number and i was anticipating reaching a voicemail box because it's Sunday and I wanted to see if there was an option to learn more about hours and the like and a man picked up and casually said "hi, it's ____". Ummm.....I don't recommend. I hung up because what kind of a greeting is that for someone that wants to schedule a mental health appointment?
