Horrible, I live in Massachusetts and was calling in regards to my daughters friend who lives in Melbourne Florida who claimed he was going to harm himself. I then got hung up on and tried calling back numerous times to no answer. Glad I live in Massachusetts cause you guys have horrible mental health care systems. I feel bad for any child who is struggling and has no choice but to deal with this unprofessional, uncaring place.

Facility is more like a correctional facility than a mental hospital. The way they treat the patients is rediculous. cannot hug family during visits(one staff member let me but i will not say because they actually deserve their job). food is very scarce, there is no sense of privacy. they mix suicide patients who need actual help dealing with real mental conditions with people who the police just simply pick up off the side of the road and are hopped up on stuff. Lack of respect during intake, staff refused to let me keep my wedding ring, Cited i could use it to kill myself (how in the world can i kill or even injure myself with a basic wedding band theres no gems or anything on it) didnt even negotiate about it they threatened physical force. layout is literally a jail, there is no separation between male and female wings, beds are unaccomodating for anyone who isnt okay or approved for sleeping on the floor. your stuff is liable to be stolen. I plan to actually take this to the health department due to the lax treatment in regards to health, only had my basic vitals checked and was put in a room with people who clearly were ill(actually sick). There are things that are understandable but this aint one!

I was here about half a year ago.. I have schizoaffective I recovered mostly now. Do expect a call from me. To report abuse when two security guards used unnecessary force, nd verbally abused me for 3 nights in a row. My jaw is rearranged after that day.. I have the x rays to prove it.. nurse Delilah on the other hand was great, she's caring and very nice and actually tries to understand people in active psychosis.

They are no help, even with an insurance. That doesn't even make sense and I need help. They did not help me. They did not help me at all. They just gave me problems. That's the problems, yeah, they didn't give me my injection. When I needed the injection to be received, so if something happens to me. I'm not the one to be blamed. You understand it's not my fault. They're the ones that's supposed to help, but they don't help.

These people are completely clueless avoid them at all costs. I spoke to them on the phone about having an in-person session and they told me that they were able to do it. I went to the meeting at 11:00 when I was scheduled and they told me they didn't have any of the documentation I sent over to them. They then told me that they only did Telehealth because no therapists were in the office which was explicitly what I told them I was not trying to do.

I thought this was a good place. They won't renew my medication until 2 months after I'm out. Why stay on them and go thru the misery? I'll just do me and raw dawg life again. They obviously don't care. Keep not helping people, that's what you're good at. Good job......

***ATTENTION ALL VETERANS*** I chose one star because you can not select no stars. I had the misfortune of staying at Morningside for homeless veterans. While staying there, I had an iPad, iPhone, $50, and my wallet stolen from my room while it was locked. Also, another former resident had $80 stolen from the staff safe. Other residents were constantly complaining about stolen items. You draw your own conclusions. The program director at Morningside doesn't care if your belongings get stolen. It's up to you, but if it were I would chose a different program and theft free environment.

This is for the Orange Park location. I would give 0 stars to the MD if I could, the receptionist was amazing. The kindest woman, I don’t know how she still works under him. For this to be a MENTAL HEALTH clinic I am BEGGING you to go somewhere else! I have jumped through hoops to get this appointment. This was finally my time to get the help and I drove exactly 56 minutes to this appointment. An appointment at 5 pm because he only sees new patients on Wednesday evenings ONLY. So he see new patients for one singular day of the week leaving ME with very limited availability. I brought my two kids with me because I didn’t have anyone to watch them. I had them all prepared with snacks and an iPad to keep them calm and behaved. I was informed AFTER I drove an hour to see him at FIVE AT NIGHT, To be told by the receptionist that she had to reschedule my appointment because he didn’t want my kids there. I was never told not to bring them and had I been told I would have made arrangements but that would have been last resort. I was doing what I had to do to make it to this appointment because I need the help for MENTAL HEALTH. I didn’t get previous reviews about this office because this was the only place my insurance covered but needless to say I will not step foot back into that office. I broke down and cried in the office begging to be seen because I have waited long and went through so much for the appointment. The receptionist even offered to keep my kids during the appointment and I could hear her advocating for me trying her best to help me and he still turned me away. This doctor is lucky that today wasn’t my last straw with my mental health because this could have really pushed someone over the edge. The sweet receptionist followed me all the way to my car promising she will help me find a new psychiatrist closer to me that my insurance covers and even said she’s going to call me tomorrow to check on me. She did not leave me alone until she knew I was okay enough to drive home. Long story short DO NOT go here.

I would like to talk about my experience with my son and in this location it was actually one of the worst experiences I have had for my son and I don't think I would recommend it to anyone else especially with the therapist. She takes things very personally, she is not at all understanding I would not recommend it to anyone, ever. They are not professional at all.

Not just this location, but this place is a train wreck. The staff is a hot mess. I assume its because of low pay (you get what you pay for.) If you ask for your records for your attorney they clame to have it in a day or so. If you want it for your self you have to wait to the doctor reviews them first. After reading my records I found that the doctors and what ever they call the non doctors that provide treatment do not care what you have to say and apparently just accuse of lying. Not 1 person in this whole company is willing to take accountability and when I doubt will blame you for the problem. NEVER TRUST a doctor who has never cured a single person. May God have mercy for the poor people that have no other choice or get dragged in here by the police .

I took my son here for opioid detox and he told me this facility was full of street drugs people brought in and my son was doing street drugs the whole time in there. He was supposed to be taking Suboxone there and they don't watch them take their meds. How do these people not know there are a bunch of people nodding out?? Suboxone does not make you nodd out. Do not bring your loved one here for help. This is awful.

One of the worst experiences I have had in the 82 years of my life. I was run around from Pine Ridge to Citrus Memorial for a full medical exam the first half of my first day. Told to come back the their Beverly Hills office after leaving the hospital. Upon returning to their office they said come back tomorrow as the the person who did my evaluation was gone for the day and to come back tomorrow.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Florida?
When comparing providers in Florida, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Florida?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Florida?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Florida providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Florida providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
