The security guard at the entrance was not professional or friendly. And his jokes were inappropriate. I needed urgent help with my case and he told me to make an appointement on the website, the closest time was in 40 minutes, I made the appointement and waited but when I went back to this guard he said it doesn't work that way and you can't make an appointement on the same day. I asked him why he didn't warn me about it. He said he had nothing to do with it, it was the system's fault. Anyway, these guys don't care about you

Today I was there. I asked for Blood Pressure medication. Because I didn't have mine anymore. They refuse to help me. They wanted me to wait 2 hours to see the Doctor. I had to Rush to the emergency room. Thank God I made it. My Blood Pressure was to the roof. It was one nice lady who was trying to help me but the nurse was not that nice. One pill can save a life, why refuse it? And didn't even checked my pressure

I fell on some hard times, and became a slave to the drink. The staff here at GCC welcomed me with open arms and embraced me in my time of need. They were all very helpful and genuinely concerned about my detox and recovery. I was supplied with a comfortable bed in a dorm room, a hot shower, and three daily meals, along with necessary medication to mitigate withdrawal symptoms and a daily consultation with a doctor. They also encouraged all of us to attend AA meetings held in the facility, and offered advice on where to go after my departure. This place was a godsend for me!

Do not recommend. I was in the virtual waiting room for my appointment, and went completely ignored. No message or phone call back. If you rely on medications for your mental health, this is NOT who you can count on. Already a rip off, and they have the audacity to increase their rates without letting anyone know about. I’ve read several other reviews from others with a similar experience with this horrible company. Can’t wait for my super generic automated response from the owner…

Cove is a joke! I came here for a court ordered evaluation, despite the reviews given online prior to going in, I entered with my own experience willing to come here because it was one of the few places that could get me in quick. I was told the evaluation was free, and that treatment was not always recommended as I was not ordered to do any treatment. Just complete the eval. Little did I know before even being evaluated I was recommended unnecessary treatment and a 6 week plan before even exploring any “mental health or personal related issues” because of my “situation that I was in, in the first place”. I was told by the evaluator “No matter who it is I can’t sign an evaluation that goes to my supervisor that doesn’t recommend treatment, it will be returned as denied” Treatment for the 6 week program was $500 and they take very few insurance. I wouldn’t recommend going here for anything court ordered especially if you’re promised it will be quick and easy.

Had an outpatient appointment here. Turns out it was for intake. I was not informed. Intake officer didn't exactly introduce herself. I only heard the name Maria from her supervisor. I discussed my previous history with PTSD, and how id seen another psychiatrist for it. I walk into the office and I'm immediately triggered by something there. Now I get it. That item is probably important to the intake worker so I didn't wanna say that's what was setting me off. At the same time that object triggered my symptoms and took me back to that event. I tried escaping multiple times just so I could calm down. I felt trapped in a dangerous situation and pressured to return to that place over some intake forms. I tried telling them this and they asked if I was hallucinating and if I wanted to harm myself. I'm almost POSITIVE they didn't believe me when I said I was just triggered. Maria put stuff on the forms I would've otherwise never consented to. I'm going to call to revoke the forms and cancel the next appointments since that information was filled in by another person while I was not in the best condition and had this not happened I would've had a much different response. I'm almost certain I wasn't the only person this happened to.

Receptionist pretended she couldn't hear me when I asked her a few questions during my check in process. Very unprofessional. The psychiatrist (Dr. Burnett) told me I didn't have the right to a lawyer to support my case. They provably lied on my case file related to statements I made to the psychiatrist. They physically forced me down and injected me with drugs I didn't want even though I requested an alternative treatment plan which is my legal right. There are very few activities designed to rehabilitate people. The showers are boiling hot and burn your skin, told the staff about this and they didn't care. Feels more like a prison than a rehab facility.

Oh boy. Where do I begin. I live in Tallahassee and was referred here by my psychologist. I’ve been a patient for a few years now. The front office staff is horrible and the interns don’t fill your prescriptions in a timely manner. You call the front office and it’s like you’re bothering them by calling in. I have to see them in office once a year and can do telehealth the rest of the year due to being 2 hours away. You call in and explain to them your pharmacy has tried 3 times to get an ok to refill prescriptions. When you tell them that, they never have any record and they tell you a message has been sent to the provider and guess what? You have to call back the next day and the next because they still haven’t filled your prescription. When you’re on certain medications, and you miss them, you’re in a world of hurt. I was lucky enough ONE time to get someone super nice. She went out of her way to make sure the provider got the information and my meds were refilled. They reply to these things saying they value the feedback and they’ll look into it, but nothing changes. From someone that works at one of the best doctor’s offices in Tallahassee, do better. The type of people in your front office is exactly why people are switching to us from the other specialist in town.

I had a frustrating experience with the scheduling process for my stepdaughter, who is struggling and needs mental health support. The representative I spoke with after filling out the form talked too fast and didn’t listen to my requests. I found her to be quite insensitive, especially considering that I’m part of her support system as a step-parent.

I attended Clementine in March of 2023. I want to make it clear that Monte Nido is a medical model of a treatment facility, meaning their main focus is to weight restore you and get you out. Clementine has a lot of restrictions and an extremely unique approach to food. They make it a point that a relationship with food should not be extreme ( Ex: extreme restriction). Despite this, they make the clients meal plans extremely high and overfeed them, to another extreme, which doesnt really make a lot of sense in the long term. The staff was questionable, there was a few RC's ( recovery coaches) that were great, but other than that some of the staff did not seem well equipped for this type of environment. Each client gets a family therapist, an individual therapist, and a dietician as a part of their main team. My dietician, preaching for food diversity, was a vegan so I did not feel confident in my nutrition advice I got. My individual therapist did not really help, at all. She restated the things I already knew about my mental health and cognitive processing, so I just felt like I was wasting my time. The family therapist was however, very well trained. Unfortunately it really depends on the members of the family to make that change, so her counseling can only be as effective as you make it. A lot of the RC's did not offer support even when clients were breaking down. They had unprofessional relationships with the clients, making fun of them, being petty and refusing to take them to the bathroom, and just not caring about the clients they were expected to care for. To sum up my stay here, I relapsed the second I got home. I found that a majority of the clients white knuckled the whole program because that was what the staff wanted to hear, the "right" answers. I did not go to treatment with a person who was fine from then on, everybody went down the rabbit hole at some point. I think a large issue that a lot of the clients felt was a dissociative state, where nobody could really process what was going on. We were all walking around like we were zombies and to this day i cannot really remember a ton of my memories here. In my experience, I don't feel this place really fit my needs, i developed new habits learned from other clients and I had major treatment fatigue from hundreds of ineffective therapy sessions. It's been two years and I still constantly struggle. Clementine doesn't treat the root cause, they treat the symptoms. If you are considering residential for yourself or your daughter I would recommend going to a treatment facility based on a a cause ( anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Depression). You will get a more specialized approach to the root cause, and when that is managed, the symptoms will most likely decrease.

I’m happy I got away from this place. They have a HIPPA issue. Front house staff are rude and very unprofessional. All the good therapist they had have left. Turnover is a huge red flag. Not sure why they are still in business this place should be shut down. Leave while you can. These reviews are no lie.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Florida?
When comparing providers in Florida, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Florida?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Florida?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Florida providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Florida providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
