A friend of mine had a horrible experience with the front desk woman. She told the woman she would like to speak to someone in english and the woman did nothing to help her with that. She was also acting as if she did not want to be working. It is highly disrespectful and unprofessional when you act that way especially in a therapy office. When you are a receptionist, you are the first person people meet so you should always be respectful and caring.

I came to The Vines Hospital during one of the hardest times in my life, and I truly don’t know where I would be without them today. I felt broken, overwhelmed, and unsure of what to do next… but from the moment I walked in, I felt seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. There were moments when I didn’t even have the strength to advocate for myself, but the staff never gave up on me. They showed me compassion, patience, and kindness every single day. They didn’t treat me like just another patient… they treated me like a person who truly mattered. What meant even more to me was that CEO Clint took the time himself to get to know me. That meant everything. It showed me that this place truly cares from the top down. You can feel that kind of leadership in the way everyone treats you… with respect, dignity, and heart. Because of The Vines, I left stronger, more hopeful, and believing in myself again. They gave me the tools and support I needed when I needed it most. I will forever be grateful.

Adult daughter went willingly, took meds, but refuse injections. Due to medical conditions we check all meds & said no. * They took her to court to take the mpoa away from me to give to a stranger who does not know her medical history. Not once but 2 x. * Gave injections after * dr even argued she did not have side effects I witnessed. *said med will not effect hyperthyroidism it can change t3 *Refused Pharmengentic pgx testing * NO Visitors allowed * NO privacy where other male patient walked in on her. Same patient stepped purposely on her. {Posting because if they do this to her, they can anyone!!! They told my husband I was argumentative because just didn't agree with the dr who argued with me over her TD. Save your family the pain in regards to the psych unit the have. Do out patient or not at all. ☆People need to heal from their trauma and not have Dr. cause furthur harm. I have read several of the reviews Common thread of poor client treatment is true. ♡♡♡ Making informed health decisions should include people's health conditions and not be ignored... ♡♡♡ Trash was there 2 days in a row. My daughter stated place very unclean. Food is rough especially if have dietary needs.

I’ve been coming to Clay Behavioral for some time now, and when I first started, it truly felt like a great facility. You could tell certain staff members like Terry and Dr. Mengi genuinely care about their patients and take pride in what they do. They want to see people succeed in recovery, and that meant a lot to me. Unfortunately, lately there have been changes that are very concerning. It seems like new policies are making it more difficult for patients especially those serious about their sobriety to access treatment and medication. This week alone, I was turned away from my appointment for being just 9 minutes late due to heavy traffic on Blanding, where state troopers were conducting a speed trap. As a single mom who prioritizes recovery to care for my family, this was incredibly frustrating and discouraging. I had already checked in and was in the process of paying my copay when I was told I would not be seen. As a result, I went without my medication for three days. Today, I arrived early for my rescheduled appointment, only to sit in the waiting room for over three hours as I write this review still waiting. I had to take time off work for this, and the lack of consideration is extremely disappointing. I am strong in my recovery and thankfully did not relapse but my concern is for others who may be early in their journey. Policies like this could seriously impact someone who is trying to do better but needs consistent support and access to care. I truly hope the facility reconsiders how these rules are being enforced, because recovery should be supported, not made harder.

I took my dogs in for a health check today and needed assistance, so I approached Malik, the security guard, for help. Unfortunately, the interaction was very disappointing and unprofessional. Instead of focusing on his responsibilities and assisting visitors, he appeared more interested in flirting and avoiding his duties. His behavior made the situation uncomfortable, especially when it was clear that the attention was not welcome. As we were leaving, he approached my wife and asked for her information under the impression that it was for official purposes. However, it became clear that he was attempting to flirt and was essentially catcalling her. This was upsetting and inappropriate. A workplace, especially in a setting serving the public, should remain professional at all times. I believe this matter should be addressed to ensure other visitors do not have a similar experience.

I am deeply concerned about the care my mother received at this facility following a documented injury. After a serious fall that resulted in a hospital visit and confirmed rib injuries, her physician explicitly ordered two days of bed rest. Upon her return, staff failed to follow these medical orders. She was told she would only be allowed 1-3 hours rest, and when she offered to provide hospital documentation, it was not reviewed. Despite being in clear pain, she was instructed to get up. She was also met with an aggressive response when she expressed that she was still sore and in pain. Multiple staff members witnessed this interaction and failed to intervene or advocate for her well-being. Disregarding physician orders and failing to appropriately respond to a patient’s condition raises serious concerns about negligence, patient safety, and staff accountability. This experience has significantly impacted our trust in this facility. Immediate improvements in care standards and oversight are necessary.

I m looking for a place to detox, but I'm not too sure about this place. 2 years ago I came here for detox and half way through the orientation I changed my mind because they were trying to get me to admit that I was suicidal and or homicidal. I was neither. I got up to leave they hurried and got more staff in an attempt to stop me. I did make it to my car and left. I went to KFC to tell my roommate what happened. He told me that the police had just called him and asked did he know where I was because they had gotten a call from Park Royal saying that I was a danger to myself and others. The cops were waiting at my house. My dad called me and told me that they were banging on doors and windows. I spoke to the cops and told them that I was fine they left. As far as I'm concerned this place is a danger to others and their ratings show that.

They are focused on their own interests and financial gain is their priority. Especially the main accountant on the first floor who knows her influence over the accountant's compensation but chooses to support others while I'm nearing completion of the program but chooses not to help me. If you approach her when she's in a good mood you might receive favorable treatment but when she's not she may feign ignorance or provide misinformation. Despite challenges I'm driven to succeed in this place and so close to completing this program. But now that this came up im not sure which way this will go. The main nursing staff is the only one i feel like stands out as a caring professional who gets things done.

I was a previous resident. They want to get the maximum that Medicare will pay. My discharge was almost impossible to get. I had to threaten to leave AMA to get out at all. The bed linens are stained. The TV does not get most of the channels on the list that the facility provides. I have to say that the nurses and aides are very attentive.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Florida?
When comparing providers in Florida, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Florida?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Florida?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Florida providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Florida providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
