I have been a patient since March of this year… I wish I had found them sooner! I have had a nightmare of horrible experiences and doctors! Solace being the main cause of my Whitecoat Syndrome! Kelly has made me feel safe and accepted. She didn’t push therapy until I’m ready, bc she knows that the stress from those sessions if you are not stable doesn’t help anyone! I trust them so much I would refer them to anyone! Btw they do juveniles! My daughter is almost 7 and she has been seeing Raquel since March as well! She’s been so supportive and encouraging! I loved that she didn’t just jump into stimulants! We have been using Qelbree Er and it has been a life changer for my daughter! She was able to make all those connections in school that she just couldn’t retain before the medication.

A Life-Changing Experience – Deeply Grateful to AWA. There are moments in life when you truly need the right support at the right time, and for our family, AWA was exactly that. When our son first walked through their doors, he carried fear, uncertainty, and anxiety that many teenagers experience but often struggle to understand or express. From day one, AWA provided not only professional guidance, but something even more powerful: a safe space where he felt seen, heard, and understood. Through their compassionate approach, he learned to better understand his emotions and manage his anxiety with practical tools and strategies that he continues to apply in his daily life today. Watching him grow from a place of doubt into one of confidence and emotional awareness has been nothing short of transformative. One of the most healing aspects of AWA was the opportunity for him to connect with peers facing similar challenges. Realizing he was not alone — that others were navigating similar feelings — was truly a balm to his soul. That sense of community made a profound difference. AWA marked a clear “before and after” in his life, and in ours as a family. The support, professionalism, and genuine care of the entire team have been transcendental for Alesso and for all of us. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude especially to Pablo, Kim, and Kennya. Your dedication, empathy, and commitment go far beyond your professional roles. Watching each student graduate the way our son did is deeply emotional, but seeing you become emotional as you said goodbye to him touched our hearts in ways we will never forget. It showed us that this is not just a program; it is a place where real bonds are formed and where every child truly matters. We will always be profoundly grateful for the safe environment you create and the life-changing work you do. With sincere appreciation, A forever grateful family.

Dr. Fey is truly one of the most compassionate and genuine healthcare providers I’ve ever had. She takes the time to truly care for each of her patients, and you can feel that in every interaction with her. She has always had my best interest at heart and is willing to help in any way she can. She’s the first doctor I’ve had who acknowledged that medication alone doesn’t always solve the problem, and instead encouraged me to give therapy another chance after years of unsuccessful experiences with other therapists. She thoughtfully recommended a therapist based on my personal needs, and I’m so grateful she did because it has made such a positive difference in my life. I genuinely look forward to our monthly video calls, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found a provider who listens, supports, and cares as deeply as she does.

I don’t even know where to start. This place saved my life. I went for 15 days for detox and when I got there I was a mess. The first 11 days were so hard for me since I was coming off some serious stuff. I wanted to leave as soon as I got there. Then I met the staff. First Miss Miranda was my BHT and her kindness was something that I havnt seen in so long. She checked on me all the time. She made me feel as comfortable as possible. It made such a huge difference. Then on the 5th day I had a panic attack and my case worker Xavier went above and beyond to make me feel better even staying after his shift. He kept in contact with my mom the whole time and let her know how I was doing. The Nursing staff is the nicest people I’ve ever met. All the staff here was so kind. It was what gave me the strength to push forward. Never did I think I was capable of getting clean. Then after detox I started to go to there classes and I learned the tools necessary to stay clean out in the real world. My therapist Donald was A+ as well. He talked to me and actually listened and gave me the tool I needed to face my triggers and trauma. I can’t express my gratitude enough. I tried 3 different treatments and spent so much and I couldn’t do it. Then I found white sands. The best rehab I’ve ever ever been too. They do so many activities and really make you feel at home. Not to mention they give you your electronics from 4:30-10:30 if you go to all your classes. They are super laid back and they treat you accordingly to your pace and condition. Not only am I clean but I’m able to get my life back and be the best version of myself for me and for my kids. Thank you again for saving my life guys! If you have an addiction or mental health issue. This is the place to go. The love will pour out and you will get through it. NICK kne

I've been here for 15 days (PHP) and I can already say, it's by far the best facility Ive been to. We live in an actual apartment complex and make our own food. We are also allowed to have our phones (except for during class), which allows me to talk to my daughter at any time. My therapist, Max, is the best therapist I've ever had. You can tell he actually enjoys his job and is great with 1 on 1 therapy. I'd recommend this program over any other I've been to. I haven't stayed in residential, but I've heard good things. If you're looking for a place that doesn't make you feel locked down and has a great staff, (techs, nurses, counselors, etc), then this is the place for you. If there were 10 stars I'd give it a 10/10. Highly recommend. Also, I see a lot of people complaining about the classes and "lack of therapy". If the classes are too "monotonous", don't go to AA meetings. If you can't listen to a lecture because you've "heard it before", you're going to hear basically the same thing every day in AA meetings. Repetition is good, although I don't consider the classes montotonius at all. If someone has a bad experience here, it's because they chose to. Walking out of class or being on your phone during class is not conducive to recovery. I wouldn't walk out of an AA meeting. There are plenty of breaks between classes and plenty of time to meet with case managers or put in medical requests. Also, the apartments are nice. Clearly people saying otherwise haven't been to other facilities. Believe what you want, but I've experienced a number of facilities and this is easily the best around.

The staff is so kind, knowledgeable and went above and beyond expectations. There were pigeons all over and One walked with me along the beautiful paths. One had nested outside our door on the columns of the house so we were able to see the mama and her babies Every time we went outside

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Florida?
When comparing providers in Florida, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Florida?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Florida?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Florida providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Florida providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
